OK, the MTS and the Crawl control are different systems. You don't go into MTS then go into Crawl. The MTS is for you to be the one to use gas pedal and brake but with computer assistance for the terrain you select. The Crawl control button is a separate system that once engaged, you don't use the throttle or brake, the computer does all the work. Try using the crawl control without going into the MTS first. It still works.
@@Ghost.uppercut that’s what the dipshit salesman say because they don’t know wtf else to say or how it works. Asked one to show me before I pulled off the lot. Got an “uh ah hell idk RUclips that one. It’s for hills I think”
@@Ghost.uppercut It can be used for that but not exclusively. It stands for Multi Terrain Select. You can use it to help get more traction on difficult surfaces as well as down-hill, up-hill, or flat.
With all the moisture in the sand, it’s harder to get stuck. Get yourself into some deep dry sand that’s super soft. Crawl Control will still work, I’m sure but it’s a better test of it
I love these Gen3 Tacomas , love them so much I went out and bought a brand new 2021 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4 in a automatic top of the line last year and just turned 20k miles on the ODO , I love it more today than the day I drove it off the lot with 3 miles on it ….good work !
If you truly want to be stuck, go to either Glamis or Ocotillo in the summer and drive on the dunes. The sand is finer and dry during thay time, which makes it a really good and true 4x4 test.
That's awesome! I'm getting my blue crush TRD off road in a couple weeks. Definitely was wondering how exactly to use the MTS and crawl! Thanks so much! Wicked cool.
Cool video! I just bought a 2023 TRD off road and this was a good video to see how crawl control works in a situation. I made a video on my Taco as well.
Thank you, really good video! I love my Tacoma even more now! Just gave me a new idea for a date: Idk lets go get stuck in something and watch our Tacoma crawl us out. 🤷🏽♀️😅😅❤
Yes it is hard to get a tacoma legit stuck in sand! I have a 2022 Sx with the stock all season what I call "street tires" I've buried my truck down to the axles in sand, put it in 4 low with light throttle and it pulled itself right out!
I really liked your video but your truck is AWESOME! I've been looking for 2 months for that exact truck except with a manual transmission. Green with black trim, ya!
I have a question not regarding the video. So I was at a stop in a hill going up. I did not step on the gas in time the truck kind of rolled back and some light came on my truck and when I gas it made like a pop or something was engaging. Do you know what it is? Or is that normal
THUMBS DOWN for the click bait title: "Crawl Control "Saved Me"..........Ya weren't even stuck to begin with. Hell, you weren't even in deep enough sand to even need to use the crawl control. Anyone with 4WD could've rolled right out of the spot you were in here. Next time, choose a place with deep enough sand to REALLY need the use of crawl control. Other videos do a great job of demonstrating how well this system works. Your video is NOT one of them..........not even close. Me: proud owner of a 1st gen ( 2000 ) Tacoma 4x4 with 3RZ engine WITH the good ole tried & true MANUAL locking hubs that everyone wants so bad.
A- Nice shirt. B- You don't need crawl control, and if you do you shouldn't be driving off-road. C- Any AT tire worth its sulk will help the truck much more than crawl control ever could.
Wow the picture is kinda click bait with photoshopped mud around the tires...you can drive on that beach in 2 wheel drive to begin with, and you never got stuck except for being in 2 wheel drive. Not the best test of crawl control when all you needed was 4x4 hi 🤓
Should I try mud next? 🤣 or wait till I get some off road tires
I VOTE MUD!!!!! Who’s with me??
Mud!
Snow!!!! I feel like that would be hard
Haha I’m with you
Yeah true
MAN just everything the Tacoma did was amazing. Even if you tried to get stuck looks like it won’t! Loved it man
Thanks buddy

Ah ok I see
I heard MTS is for when you are going down a hill.

I’m glad somebody said it hahah I was like wait that’s not how you engage crawl control…
@@Ghost.uppercut It can be used for that but not exclusively. It stands for Multi Terrain Select. You can use it to help get more traction on difficult surfaces as well as down-hill, up-hill, or flat.
Toyota Sales just went up up 📈
Awesome Content

Yessssssir!
The hole at the end is HUGE I can’t believe the stock tires survived that!!!!
Haha me too!
Our boy is buzzin’ now that he’s got 4x4! Can tell you’ve been wanting this for a while now.
🤣🤣🤣 true
That's great, That's why I love Tacoma.
Thanks me too 🤣😁

@@GOREDO5 ayyyy congrats. I'm wicked stoked for it! Love the color, couldn't resist!
@@Shape_studioz thanks man.. it's awesome. I got the 4x4 off road. Just put the TRD pro grill on it... looks sweet. Can't wait to upgrade the Taco

Yessssir thanks G
That's great imfo. I am waiting on my 22 TRD off road to be delivered. Really helpful video
Ooooo nice good luck
Cool video! I just bought a 2023 TRD off road and this was a good video to see how crawl control works in a situation. I made a video on my Taco as well.
WOAH that looks crazy man!!!
Thanks I appreciate it!
Why pick MTS then crawl?
Gotta try this on my 2023 4x4 tacoma trd
yesssir
Thank you, really good video! I love my Tacoma even more now! Just gave me a new idea for a date: Idk lets go get stuck in something and watch our Tacoma crawl us out. 🤷🏽♀️😅😅❤
Been waiting for this video for 2 days lol
Hahah here it is!
I love this colour 🌙🌙🌙🌙
Will you be making a video on what happened to your old Tacoma?
Yeah soon!

Have the same exact Taco😊
Fiesta island havent been there in a minute i always go to la jolla cove
Nice
I really liked your video but your truck is AWESOME! I've been looking for 2 months for that exact truck except with a manual transmission. Green with black trim, ya!
Did you use hand break and accelerate to get it stuck or just foot break and accelerate?
Why would you ever get rid of Army green third gen Tacoma? Asking and owner of a 2023 trd pro Tacoma in MGM
How did you get color matched rear bumper?
What is the 4wd indicator button for that is to the right of the red call button? Near the crawl control knob.
Probably rear locker button.
Can’t wait for my tacoma off road this coming july wooohooo!
Ooo good luck
if you got the stock off road truck it comes with off road tires.. fairly sure.
they come with light all terrains

i put 4L and then press MTS and it still says to put in 4L ? what am i doing wrong
I love the Army Green man!
Fantastic experience, wow
Thanks!
Keep it up 👍🏼 !
Thanks!
Did you air down at all or was that at 33-34 psi?
No it was normal 34 psi
With stock wheels?!?!? 🤯 lit 🔥
Yessssir
I just ordered same truck with a tire upgrade BFG K02 265/75/16
Hope I like it ..
Ooooooo yes you will
How he will clean the tires?
Easy pressure wash 🧼
Be sure to refill the holes you dug with the tires.
Yes of cousrc
Wonderful 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Just noticed the shirt, based
thanks
What a Video!
My Donkey 🦓🦓 Can do that too🤣🤣,. Wooow Nice truck I Like it 🤔
Your donkey is very cool
@@TheUnrestricted yeah it is😊
@@TheUnrestricted I have the same Toyota tacoma trd off road 4x4 2022. That's why I said my Donkey can do that😊😊
Oh I see, never heard a taco refer to as a donkey. I like it
@@TheUnrestricted 🤣🤣I call my Taco, my Donkey, U know why? Cause Donkey can go everywhere😊
lol when u don’t wanna get out it goes out lol
Amazing 😻
18.4 mpg impressive
Crawl control. I've watched several videos on it. But allways in sand. It must not work in mud.
Hm we’ll have to find out one day 🤔
Cool 😊
Looks Like Tacoma’s won’t like to get stuck 😎
Hahaha true!
Bad ass!
Liberty for 🇵🇸 my brother
You can get unstuck faster with a shovel and tracks..😂😂😂
haha soooo true
How many Tacomas have you had??🧐🤨 every video I see you have a different one😂😂
“My arm can barely fit in the whole”
*Touches the bottom of the whole with half of arm still out of the whole
Sand is too wet to sink down to the frame
Ah that’s why
Legit!
Here in Hawaii we 2wd beaches like these. Don’t know how you got stuck 😂 solid ride though, I have a 2015 sport and I’ve never gotten stuck.
CHRIST IS KING 👑
Go try it on some soft sand bet it won't get out
Why does it make so much noise when it’s on crawl control. Sounds like it’s gunna break
…all-terrain
....yes
Bro you were never even stuck.
It’s very hard to get stuck in this truck. Took me about 5 tries and that’s the deepest it went 🤣
It's not a good idea to roll your windows up when your exhaust is totally buried in the sand.
Sand, literally the worst thing for any vehicle. Goodbye wheel bearings, universal joints etc! One grain of sand can wipe out a bearing.
You’re fun

Tires, not wheels. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. It’s cool to see how it works.
Thanks buddy
