What a coincidence lol. I’m trying to put my SCS on my vp9-sk and the SCS supplied screws are acting like they are a different thread pitch or something. Didn’t think I’d need a video on how to put this damn thing on but here we are, so thanks!
I had the same problem. The right screw was fine. The left side I could not get that MF to go in properly or seat flush. After many attempts I finally got it. But now I’m reading that these provided screens are snapping off when firing the weapon. Now I’m scared to even take a chance of shooting it and this happening
HK everyday, I have a VP9 tactical suppressed with this optic with the Slideworks slide. It’s my dream gun. Sits next to my MP5. I’m waiting on them to drop a micro 9 as the VP9SK feels a little too chunky for what it is, p365 is still king in that regard.
I would love to see a micro! HK holds a special place in my heart for sure. But I think the new metal carry comp will be the best gun of the year. Absolutely amazing piece! Now you got me looking slideworks 😂
Are you gonna just keep the SCS on all the time? I have heard that there’s really no need to shut off since it’s always charging. So no need in shake awake I guess. I’m alittle scared to use the Holosun screws because there are reports of them breaking even after the recommend 15 ftlbs torque spec. I was recommended to use the screws Battlewerx so I ordered them. They came in yesterday so I’ll be mounting my SCS on my G45 mans it’s gonna be sweet !
Nice brother! Yes I keep mine on at all times unless when it’s going in the safe. Probably the blue stuff that’s not the screw created too much tension for those other people. The screws were a little tight to install, had to put some force but they are in at 15lbs!
@@MightyGunzTV Question: If the screws felt a little “tight” when you installed them, do you think they could have been cross-threaded? Could the “pitch” of the Holosun threads be different? Since these little machine screws are so fine, did it feel like you could be “cutting new threads?” I’m a little apprehensive to mount my SCS onto my Long Slide in fear of boogering-up the holes tapped into the VP9…after all, if those holes get stripped out, the only remedy is to drill oversized holes, tap them, then drill oversized holes into the SCS!!! Maybe I’m over thinking this…I just don’t want to open a new can of worms. (Thanks for your post.)

Probably close to 400 rounds or so with the SCS. No issues. Even though it comes with the blue strip on the screw I would still put a small drop of loctite or vibratite
@@MightyGunzTV those suppressor height sights are so tall I went a diff direction. Initially I thought I'd just swap my sights off my non OR slide. But the rear sight was changed to accommodate the cut. I wasn't entirely sold on complete solar anyway. Got a steal on a cyelee and thus far I'm happy with it.
Sorry to ask, but I have a VP9 Full Size and the screws that came with the Holosun SCS are too small for the holes on the gun after I take off the plate. Any suggestions? Thanks
So the Holosun optic clears a suppressor without a lift? I am waiting for my suppressor from the communist ATF but am buying the VP9 and need to set up for the Dead air Primal.
Have you had any issues with the screws they provide? I had trouble on the left side. The screw did not wanna seat properly and now I’m hearing that the provided screws are snapping on people after just a few fires.
No issues yet, but I will say to begin threading them they were incredibly tight, had to give it a good push & turn. Maybe take the screw out, spray the hole with some compressed air and use a bristle brush to clean the screw.
I would have removed the slide so no chance getting threadlocker where you don’t want it. I would have cleaned the slide with alcohol too, but I’m anal about my guns😊
Same model fits VP9 full size, but it does have to be the Optic Ready version. The SCS VP9 model is made to fit the slide without needing a plate, but does need the milling to mount a site.

The tan is a talon grip wrap. I appreciate ya!

With the Holosun SCS models, stock height iron sights will co-witness your optic since you don't have the lift of an optic plate.

Correction. Ambient light charges it up. No need to see the sun.

How many rounds have you put through it while using the scs? Has it came loose at all?

Do you have to remove the sight to change battery also is there no shake on do you have to turn it on and off ?
The battery is completely internal and is solely charged by light. 20,000 hours on a single charge, so I'll just leave it on.
What holster can you use for this I have this same gun model & optic
I just order a replacemet OR slide. It comes with the tall sights.
