Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way. Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path... One that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass... And then you see it. Pippin: What? Gandalf?... See what? I can't be the only one who hears Concerning Hobbits and is immediately transported to a whole other world every time. A simpler place, a simpler time.
It’s a world beyond our own that’s free of stress, pain, and anything unexpected. It’s the epitome of peace on earth, that many of us seek, but few ever find.
@BobRoss-kt4yu I love this. I think of my dad listening to his "oldies" music and think this is the feeling he wanted to capture- those fleeting, carefree, childhood classics before the "everything" took over. Sometimes we don't recognize those moments until they are gone, and we relive them in memory. LOTR is that for me. Gr.6 reading assignment... hooked, never looked back! Except when I look back through every book, movie and RUclips posting! Just to find that joy in adventure....and peace on earth again
The fireplace really adds to the scene a lot. It emulates scenes in which a narrator would tell a story thorough a folk style song to a small group of intrigued listeners.
Stunning! Guitar playing, arrangement, filming and production quality....all of it! I first read Lord of the Rings when I was 12. I read it several times through by the time I was a senior in high school--and took an AP Lit class that was all about it, so I read it again! Then in college at least 3 times. After college. And then, when my daughters each reached the age where they were ready, I read each of them the full LOTR (Hobbit first), one chapter at a time as a bedtime story. So, when Peter Jackson made the movies, ALL of us saw every one of them on opening night, and own the dvd set. And we've watched them probably 30-40 times. It was my youngest daughter who found and posted this today. Thank you! Your beautiful guitar arrangement and playing of this medley is a wonderful gift!

This movie is the one that glued to me when I was 5. I have a few movies I love. The Matrix and Empire Strikes back are two. But TFOTR... That is MY movie. I was 5 when I saw it, now I'm 27. This film made me cry when I was a child, and it still makes me cry today, I'm not ashamed to say it. It's only grown stronger on me as I've aged. This makes me feel like a child again.
