The drawing analogy is an important one that I’ve never heard anyone make yet. I’ve been drawing all my life, so it was clear to me early on that I essentially want to teach myself to draw with the mouse as efficiently as I do a pen or pencil on paper. The body, arm, forearm, wrist positioning, and economizing is all information you’ll learn from a good drawing professor. One thing I have a tough time with is the disconnect between what I’m physically “drawing” on the mousepad, and what’s presented on the screen. I had to play with mousepad orientation, playing with it being exactly parallel with the face of the monitor, and it not being parallel, etc... Work in progress.
I know this for like 13 years. But to think how hard I tried to discipline myself to get the consistent posture back then. Thank you Rambo sensei this will help new players a lot.

I never thought about my grip that much. I just assumed the issue was needing to practice. Thanks for making these kinds of videos. It really helps.
Like most FPS enthusiasts, I always had an idea how important consistency in your body and hand positioning is, but I had NO IDEA how pin-point precise everything needs to be in order to be able to perform your 100%. That just makes you actually so cynical about your ability to perform, in the sense that "Oh I need THIS exact setup to be able to perform". That's not really the case. Consistency is the key yes, using the same setup, with the same posture and using the same gear every day will help you be consistent, but I think people waste too much time in actually wanting to have everything perfect that the amount of time they use to do so would be much better used for practicing. Playing frequently is the best key for consistency. People don't turn pros over night and that's what these videos convey to people and to most players think they'll be able to perform as a pro by using these tips for a few days and then their aim will be perfect

I think it's beneficial to understand the technical side of the mechanics, but at the end of the day, you should rely more on feel and intuition to make the fine-tune adjustments. As soon as someone starts to consciously think about aiming, is when they've gone overboard
@@RonRamboKim The book The Inner Game of Tennis has been really helpful for me to understand how to play with intuition. Highly recommend it, it's only about a 4 hour listen on Audible. after 10 years on controller i moved back to mouse and key bored. i use a chair with arm rests, spacing it at a comfortable distance from the desk and at a height that is just slightly above the desk height, it works well as a pivot point as well as a consistent position. great video, lets me know im on the right track. now for the fun bit, establishing some muscle memory.
i know that know one will see this but since ive got my pc my consistency in games has always been my weakness and i believe that this guy is onto something wiht the whole posture thing so trust this guy
One way to easily note your arm placement is not to focus on the arm itself but where you place your mouse on your mouse pad, i play near the top of mine and can always easily/naturally find my position. Same goes for weather you place your mouse in the middle of your pad, ect, ect.
An old co-worker of mine once invited me over to his house. He let me play his xbox while he played csgo on his pc. He was playing in a 1v1 arena and everytime he got a kill or got killed he would reposition his mouse pad, keyboard, and the way he was sitting until he found that sweet spot. How to aim 1. Memorize (You should know where to point without moving too slow a.k.a. flick) 2. Feel your style (Find your sensitivity that feels nice) 3. PRACTICE 4. Posture. 5. Just aim.
i come hear to learn why some days my aim is like an aimbot some later it feels so hard to aim ... i guess i found the solition :x thank you very much !
The reason we need the up and down movement you talked about when you showed the claw grip. We need it for micro-adjustment. This is why most pro players won’t want to use plan grip. They won’t have the micro adjustment ability and therefore will reduce their ability to make their aim that bit better.
Just started watching. Im trying to hold the mouse with NO air like you said and then tried to follow your writting with it. It is so much more accurate than the way I was holding originally (with air) where I cannot really follow your writing without shivering. Incredible! Now to continue watching.
Elbow placement and well placed elbow rests are important for consistency. My elbow rest is slightly higher than the mouse pad so that the forearm is placed correctly to shift between elbow and wrist aim. This is good practice for FPS games that do not rely on ADS to have precise movement while aiming and fast movement while running.
That was informative, i feel like i have a waaay better idea about aim now. Thank you, this will help improving my aim because i have really inconsistent aim cause im playing low sense with a fingertip grip, changing to a more controlled grip or better said that the mouse feels locked in place is way better for low sensitivitys and now i just have to rebuild my muscle memory a little bit.
Martin Mystery well that’s because that’s what their used to and it’s all muscle memory if you ever switch your body position from what your used to you’ll play worse
@@ddomainessrsls601 some pros change their positions all the time, but the thing is that they practice so much and are so familiar with the game that they adapt easily
my aim accuracy comes and goes in waves, when i start the game it takes me some time to get used to it again, then eventually i hit the zone and my aim gets super fast, precise and satisfying. but after couple of hours i get tired, my arm gets tense and i can't hit literally anything, i constantly miss even the easiest shots which makes me even more tense and erratic and tightens my grip more. if i keep playing eventually i get over it and i'm good again. this cycle comes and goes multiple times in a long sessions.
I have the same exact issue, but I know what causes mine. I'm a wrist aimer. I noticed when I aim (which is all the time), my forearm isn't even touching the mousepad or the table. Only my wrist is on the mousepad. That means I'm technically holding my hand in the air for a long time. In an hour or sometimes in minutes, my forearm gets tough and aiming gets more difficult. That's the reason for me. Solution: 1. Wrist rest on your mouse hand. 2. Find a different position for your hand so it doesn't fatique quick. 3. Keep quick pauses and let your hand rest between rounds and games. Also stretch your hand every now and then. (These are what helped me, though I'm not using a wrist rest atm)
I used to be called dumb and stupid for using aim trainers. But here I am furthering my progress in being top 1.5% in the world with 157 clicks in 30 seconds, of course there are better people than me; But I am more ambitious to become the first dynamic and most advanced versatile certified personal coach. Highly enthuastic about what I do and how I'm willing to spend time to study and learn to teach more players how to be more faster, precise, and optimal in their gameplay.
who tf says aim trainers aren't useful? I think there's a video by a channel called eathlete labs ft ron rambo and they talk about how aim trainers make u progress faster than just playing the game

1. Memorize (You should know where to point without moving too slow a.k.a. flick)
2. Feel your style (Find your sensitivity that feels nice)
3. PRACTICE
4. Posture.
5. Just aim.
Thanks one of the best aiming tutorial ever
i come hear to learn why some days my aim is like an aimbot some later it feels so hard to aim ... i guess i found the solition :x thank you very much !
Game Lab Germany what did u find was the specific reason for that?
What did you find to potentially help resolve this?

@@rayray5288 he realized it was about positioning..
MídaFear. Find a way for your body in a consistent position
I just randomly discovered your channel. I love your videos, I immediately subscribed.
😀
The reason we need the up and down movement you talked about when you showed the claw grip. We need it for micro-adjustment. This is why most pro players won’t want to use plan grip. They won’t have the micro adjustment ability and therefore will reduce their ability to make their aim that bit better.
Just started watching. Im trying to hold the mouse with NO air like you said and then tried to follow your writting with it. It is so much more accurate than the way I was holding originally (with air) where I cannot really follow your writing without shivering. Incredible! Now to continue watching.
I remember when you used to play for 3D your a true legend in the game Rambo! Respect! Remember your famous line “whose aug is this!!!!”
haha =]
Learned a lot. It is pleasant to listen you talk. Thank you.
Great tutorial. I'd like to know how should we flick vertically or suppress the recoil with elbow on desk? My hand feel stuck in that direction
Try having your forearm more even or level with the table
I appreciate how clear you were in this video, nice video :)
Watching for when Valorant comes out lol

Man thank you so much for all your videos. Such good quality! I've improved so much just in a week!!!
Putting that marker close to the censor gave me insane anxiety lol.

@Terpo 90 ok buddy
@@mrticklenuts2124 I want this comment sensored. Lol.
That tip for thumb and pinky finger pressure was exactly what I needed. I have a bad habit of planting those fingers on the mousepad.

Yoooo bro How u been! Glad ur back ! Thought u were gone from Gaming scene. Big fan from your CS pro days!
Glad to be back. Thanks for the support
😊
it's beautiful that some players play carelessly about their posture and play amazingly as well, world is diverse
Final boss in getting better at aiming: This 27min long video
the dota 2 pen. what a hero
Been a fan since the coL days Rambo, thanks for your insight!
your slow speech helps to understand because i'm brazilian and ENG is not my first language soo thanks
my aim accuracy comes and goes in waves, when i start the game it takes me some time to get used to it again, then eventually i hit the zone and my aim gets super fast, precise and satisfying. but after couple of hours i get tired, my arm gets tense and i can't hit literally anything, i constantly miss even the easiest shots which makes me even more tense and erratic and tightens my grip more. if i keep playing eventually i get over it and i'm good again. this cycle comes and goes multiple times in a long sessions.
I feel you 😭
I have the same exact issue, but I know what causes mine.
Solution:
Thx man these tips have really helped me literally in a second
Amazing content! Thank you! I'm gonna try to follow your tips
I Knew all this things just by playing every day.. But I wasn't sure if I was right.. Thnx for the advice man really appreciate it❤️
Happy to help!
I feel like my soul has now been aware of bodily fps aim training
To make your life easier just imagine simply clicking the opponent like click the X on an application on your pc
Nice, x the enemy
Right... but you have to be able to do that while that X is moving quickly and before that X kills you first.
Just tried after watching this video got 5 kills in 2 match. Awesome!
Your vids are always very helpful and educational!
:D
this site needs more of it i say to learning aids all get better to learning you know *gud!*
You gotta join a CS2 pro team, man. It's a new game!
4:24 damn man u are dota2 player
