The Church of Jesus Christ gives millions and millions of dollars in aid to so many people every year. This is just one more wonderful donation the church has made to help those in need.
The church was busted hoarding over $100 BILLION DOLLARS in stocks and then hid it and lied about it to the members and the SEC. They were finally forced to admit this. They pay less than 1% in charity. That's a fact. This was a PR move to distract from their crimes.

Nothing to do with the latest. There's a need. Nothing more. They have been doing this a lot more. Where I live, the church a couple months ago distributed even more in humanitarian aid due to the numbers of homeless escalating at a monstrous amount to where the local governments can't even keep up with, nor any other charitable organizations. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and help provide aid within your communities? I am sure there are a monumental amount of homeless around you too. Otherwise, keep your comments to yourself.
I am grateful to the Church for it’s generosity. It makes me sorrowful, though, to think of the growing homelessness and poverty in this country, even in smaller communities like Idaho Falls, let alone in the depths and slums of the cities, and I mourn for all the factors that have led us into the conditions our children and grandchildren will face because of the profligacy and poor stewardship of their fathers.

One billion was given in 2023 alone. Recently truckloads of food supplies were donated in Houston area foodbanks. Then in New York City foodbanks. You may not be aware why LDS church acquires so much land. Well this is your lucky day. LDS church continues to grow food to offer to needy nations around the world.

The revelation that the higher authorities have been doing rather questionable business dealings and receiving a handsome stipend from the tithes of their congregation, is the reason they are losing members. They still do good in their communities and globally, but no one should be getting rich off of faithful worshipers.
