I can confirm that making the sound effect while removing and installing the valve cover reduces difficulty by a noticeable amount!

Really wish all these guys working on the 5.4L V8 would mention what year truck they are working on. All the wire harnesses and tubing change from generation to generation.

Hi My 2001 Ford Expedition 5.4L doesn't have the VCT SOLENOID Connectors on the top of my valve covers. But there is a hump in the valve cover frame that is on both ends where the VCT SOLENOID is on most 5.4 L ENGINES.
Could my VCT SOLENOIDS be fully located under the valve covers? Where as I would have to remove both valve covers to see the solenoids and disconnect them as well? Thx

Is it possible to take it off with the vct selenoid in there? The screw on the selenoid is stripped so its a circle now and I cant get it out. Can you guys help find a way ro fix that?
