My G85 coupled with the Olympus 12-40, both bought used, produces what I think are fabulous jpegs. The face recognition feature helps too. It's hard to justify buying anything else!

Great video! - I agree, There is something about this camera that instantly makes it a classic. For me, it was seeing a short random video done with it. I knew then, it was a camera I wanted to use for video.

I have one, I will explain why it's great. It's small, light and cheap, great stabilization, tap to focus is enough, great sound, with the right lens looks great even in low light, 4k, easy to use, great quality, better then full frame for wildlife photography, great phone app, lots of small good cheap used lenses, flippy screen, simple to operate, yes you can get crazy good bokeh with the right lens, etc etc etc.

I love my G85. I shoot B/W using the Meike 35 and 25 mm. It is easy to setup for streamiing, like Teams meetings. You do need the Cam Link adapter. Solid 4k as well. For that price? Pretty awesome.

I still like to use my G80 is a bit more of a second body now but will go out with it over my Em1 mk3 sometimes. I like it for timelapse and stop motion particularly.

It is probably the most hardcore looking "small" camera. If you fit it with a battery grip, it looks like a baby full frame DSLR body😂

Very Interesting camera and if i would not have a GX85 allready,i would buy.But there is not realy a Upgrade except the mic input and the better ergonomics.Love that big Handgrip.The gx85 has terrible ergonomics especially with a full Metal Vintage Lense.But the Body is very smal on the other Hand.

Hi Grant. I have owned many cameras over the years but the G85 offers the best price to value ratio out of all M43s cameras to date. I scored mine for a little over AU$400. It comes after the release of the G7 and before the G95, G9, GH5 cameras. Costing far less than the latter offerings, it has most of the features and functions that they do, with the exception of slowmo and higher 1080p bitrates. I just don't think there is any better all-round M43 camera at this price point. Awesome channel. Keep up the great work!!!!

I am also using same camera. Its have best IBIS and weather sealed body in this segment. Kit lens 14-42 is also good. Only problem with prime lenses. All of lumix lens are very expensive. In India m43 lens are very rare 😔 otherwise this camera is better than any other mid range camera 😍

I was going to sell my G85 with a grip for the GH6 but the price I could get for it second hand isn’t worth selling - it’s photos - the colours - there’s just something about that 16meg sensor - I’ve invested in a gh6 for video and the G85 I’m
Keeping for a B camera and dedicated photo travel - it only has a 1.1 crop in 4 k and that’s with stabilisation on - and it has iDynamic which isn’t understood by users and it’s almost like having dual iso which increases the dynamic range when used in conjunction with the exposure compensation depending upon the iDynamic setting used (according to DpPrdview) - i did a video on what iDynamic is

I bought my G85 brand new from Best Buy a few years ago as a kit for $699 about two years ago I bought my G9 used from a local Camera store for $699 since I bought the G9 I really have not used my G85

Not the best in low light - most concert photographers use full frame cameras
