I cried watching this. This is the smartest thing I have ever heard in my entire life and I am so grateful to have come across this video. Just when I needed it. Thank you!
Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.d
Do exactly what he said..get the ball and GO ! You don’t want to graduate and look back and regret not playing your hardest and at that point it ain’t shit you can do because it’s all over with. And you’ll have to live the rest of your life wondering what would’ve happened if you said fuck it and played with confidence. Good luck to all the hoopers who read this
This just woke me up bro!
Thanks bro I'm 14 playing against 17 yr Olds in school matches this motivated me
Thank you
Thank you i am going to try
Thanks man respect, I’m a vars senior and I regret not being aggressive and driving and not playing my best basketball ❤

@@typicaliesha Write down what your scared of for the game. Then look at them. Laugh at them. Forget about them. If they dont go away, then start doing deep controlled breaths and try make yourself not care about what your coaches think or what you r teammates think. and Just play. do whatever. dont try to hard. just do what your body does. then you will play well.
The thing about me was I used to always care what people thought about me and I feel like that was the main reason why I would be nervous,But later on down the line when I was about 12 I started to not care what people think and that was a big help for me to handle me being nervous, but what I’m tryin to say is stop thinking or worry about what people say and you will play much better just focus on the game and don’t worry about nothing else that was a big help.
Mehak Kaur why
EliasYouurBOY later down the line when I was 12 lmao
im struggling too :(

Wish I had this 21 yrs ago in high school. Anxiety/Nervousness can change your life
This is really gonna help me with my lack of confidence
Yeah
When it comes to pick-up or half court games, i actually play well. But when it comes to an actual or official game, I don't know why but I get so nervous that I can't play normally. I need help coach
Same🙃
Happens to me a lot too
Happened to me now I’m not in the team
just shoot don't have to take so seriously you prolly try to be consistent and scared to take a risk just ball like you always do if you miss you miss coaches want more risk takers than scared players
How often are you practicing? How often do you do individual drills? The more you practice, the more you will be comfortable in games. Basketball is 90% mental and 10% physical.
When I play basketball and have a ball I always feel my heart pumping fast and my concentration is broke,my focus lose because many people watching is laughing at me Then I got shy to do my next move ,I try to build my confidence I hope I win
Same dawg
here’s my advice that I haven’t taken my own, never let anyone else define you let yourself define you
This is a great coach
Thank YOU for watching!
Watching this 3 days before going to spain playing for a team I’ve never played with in one of worlds biggest u19 tournaments as a 16 year old. Here in sweden I’m aggresive and playing good aint a problem for me. So this nervousness is new for me and this video helped me.
Any update?? That’s really cool
i was always nervous to play my kind of game but dis really helped me get through it appreciate it coach
I myself when I'm on practice I always get nervous because I care about what coach thinks about me, but when we play official games all the stress disappear and I really do make crazy stuff (for example: " playing good defense, getting " and one " .. etc) , I wish I can always make these crazy stuff in practice too.. I'm really sad because coach doesn't know that I can do a lot of things.
Thanks coach for this video by the way, this video helped me alot.
Good luck whit you'r game tomorrow😉
yo i watched this video and he is right every single time i hoop hard off the court but in gamei get nervous his words are so inspirational
thanks this helped alot i wasn’t to confident for my football and basketball game tomorrow but now im ready
Nervous Of Being Blocked And Messing up The Shot .. I Felt That
Thank you for sharing this video and great tips.
This is great Coach I'm gonna show my boys this.
When I was younger, I would kill playing at the rec and the park. But when it came to real organized games, I would be so nervous that it would be as if I completely forgot how to play basketball. But once I started practicing more often, playing against better competition, received better coaching, and playing in more organized games, now I don't get nervous in games at all. The same way I play in pickup is the same way I play in an organized game. You can't tell the difference. They key is to practice often and practice hard. If your games are harder than your practices than you're doing the wrong thing. And more importantly do individual drills. Playing 5v5 and 3v3 is cool, but when playing live games you're only doing what you're good at. Doing individual drills will make you improve on what you're not good at, then take those new found skills to the live games and your game will take off to a whole new level 💯
Thanks bro this helped me a lot ❤
Good stuff coach, you know what you're talking about.
I feel like everyone's nervousness was different than mine. I constantly felt like I was gonna faint on the court. My nerves would effecty shot and my hands would be so sweaty I couldn't hold onto the ball
Thanks god that people like you existe ❤️🙏
God.*
Thx for the great content🔥🐐
this helped so much thanks
Thank you coach. I always had anxiety when playing. I'm scared to make mistakes. I'll try this out.
Thx it will really help me 🔥🔥
When I play with ppl I know, I play as good as I would want to, but as soon as it’s unfamiliar ppl who are very good, I lose all confidence smh.

I’m good playing basketball with my friends that I know at the court I usually go to but when I go to the other court with my friends but also people watching us I can’t play thank you for this
Thank you for this
Playing basketball is all about having faith in yourself, no matter what level you play in.
Thank you!
Thank you so much about this, coach.
Im a 6'3 in a country where that is abnormal i mean... I've been playing alot with smaller players so i had this thing thats holding me back that i might hurt them and it just sucks so much for me

By the almighty God I will Work on it thanks so much really get inspired from u .
Thnx a lot imma use it for game day after tomorrow
So real
The first advice is just faxx
I know i have skills, i know i can dominate and score.. but when i enter the game nervous shows i can't show my skills i feel afraid attacking the rim.. i feel bad for myself 😢
Me watching these for the 1st time. Damnnn evertime I play with a referee with many viewers. it's like I'm loosing my confidence. I can't hold or dribble the ball properly because I started to have a fear of what if I lose the ball or something or what if they laugh at me. But the 1st thing the speaker said was right. Attack when you got the ball. From there you will build your confidence back again.
0:10 i bet that 50% are not starters
Hate

I will never forget about this *THE CURE FOR FEAR IS TO ATTACK THE FEAR AGGRESIVELY*
I am not a starter, i am like a bench warmer. So i came to this video because I got a game today, tomorow and at Saturday. This advice really hypes me up. I will let you guys know how it went.
so? how did it go?
@@tKoQ Had no fear playing but my coach put me in game when it was like 2 minutes left :(.
@@paulz888 this a league for fun or school?
@@tKoQ school, i mean i don't believe that I will make it in basketball but its alright because i am 14 almost 15 and i work 6 hours a day at my dad's company after school and then go to practise.
@@paulz888 you should keep at it if you wanna. don’t discourage yourself, its all about practice practice practice. maybe play in a summer league or any league outside school? this way you get a different coach and could possible steer you where you need more practice on. maybe you can figure out what you need a little more practice on and work on those a little harder, a little longer? And if its possible play with older folks who play ball. maybe older friends or relatives ? just a few pointers that has helped me in the past
Yoga helped cure my nervousness before games. Swear I never felt so relaxed.
Coach, what do you think is the most important to master first when starting to be in more games?
Lorenzo B I’m not the coach but ummm if I was u and ur getting more opportunities u shouldn’t feel bad for anyone else if you know u worked ur ass off and u deserve those min don’t feel bad for others so yea that would wat I would think is a good first step bc I played with teammates That talked a lot of trash cuz they didn’t get to play out but I just told my self I. Deserved it and moved on. The most important thing is ur mentality and how u look at the game ur mindset should be im the best player on my team and ima show that in game
so true
This video is amazing but I try so hard not to worry about it but when I get into game, all my confidence is just gone and I look like I've never played ball
I need to make it to the playoffs this year
Rly helped me. thx egt!! Just had a game today and was quite nervous cuz I hadn't hooped for a long time
Man I watched this before my game we got and I was like common lets win we got it until they just started dunking in the layup lines 😅
how is something that happens after tip-off (first three times you have the ball in-game) going to help with nervousness BEFORE the game? 😉 good tip though, especially for me.. when i used to play in the youth teams, i would crush during workouts but in-game i played rather safe because i didn't wanna make mistakes.. this would've helped me back then 😄 but i want to start again, so it might be useful in the future too
When you know what's coming when the game starts it makes your pre-game preparation a little easier :)
Because you then have a gameplan
I play basketball better when I'm a little tired and the pace is slowed down. I noticed when I'm hyped up, I tend to be overly aggressive and make mistakes. However, when you slow your energy burst, your awareness increases and you tend to take a little more time in your moves.
When I get the ball when it’s pick up game, I feel just fine but when I get the ball in a game I panic a lot
Good point coach. Ima tell this to my kids
W in the chat for this guy
My final game is tomorrow morning this is my last game at the uni, jm so fkn nervous i dont wanna lose it , pray for me
I have big social anxiety and a little bit of anxiety in general so games get me very nervous for some reason
Watching this before my game in 3 hours lol
did u win?
Yesterday I was so nervous
You got this gang! Now go drop 15+ points
I started playing 2021 im 13 now not that much experience but when I play pickup games I get so nervous I don't play like myself.
Watching this right now got a game later
My mind really is my worst enemy, I don't know why I can't just please freely
I start at the five. I had a good first two games and then these past two were worse then freshman year (im a junior) idk how to help or fix it
How much do you have pay for this program
I’m just trying to get to d2 honestly I’m d3 now
Thank. You.
How h should I work in a day to not hurt my self? I have hearth hypertrophy.(hearth muscle is bigger on back side, all this because of too much loud of training. I every day feel like I'm wasting time,so to not feel that way I work 1h after every meal...(this shit is killing me!) And every third day I feel tired, then rest and agen 2days of hard work. How can I work smart? How much is enough? For me is all about not wasting time. What can I do? Okay it's sound stupid ,but that's realty, how can I bee best me ,if my stupid hearth is saying no!?
This is something where you should consult a doctor!
I love it all …but I would take a code 5 and tell the supervisor got my 40. I am out see you Monday.
I always get butterflies but once I step on the floor it goes away

Where can I join those talks tho? They in the states?
EGT Live is our once per year camp :)
who else get nervous for there first that they started practise for a team when there a bunch of people that have been there for years
yeah bro me, i recently joined basketball, and everyone is better than me and they've been here for years while i just joined. I get my confidence down multiple times, bcs they're all so good and sometimes i feel like i'm ruining the game for them; but not gonna quit yk
Thanks Coach for this great lesson!
35 and I'm still playing pick up games with my Friends and this has been holding me back.
Love the "1 over 3 trick" and that is something I will try next pick up game.
Even with unofficial game im nervous
HOW CAN I SEND THIS TO MY COACH
I’m not going to show fear in the game. Thanks you for this video
I know i'm just as good as everyone else on the court but i dont really have the confidence
