- Have you ever dreamt of buying every single tool to figure out which ones you'll like using the most? Me too! So that's exactly what I did. It's time to start unboxing and going through the massive pile of Milwaukee tools. I'm going to break this up into sections and try to compare like to like as much as possible. Milwaukee makes many different kinds, so we're going to unbox and go through all of them.

"I'm a grown up so my phone is always charged" 😂😂😂. Matt this is why I watch your videos 😂😂
Looks like a few of these lights are not specifically for the automotive or construction industry, but also for camping/hiking/fishing or working out in the farm/field.
I'm a grown up, this why my phone is always charged..........no it's because you don't use it as much as some. No need to insult others. The small 100 lum led work light second to last is actually a very good light for the money. It's simple, stands up with a xc battery and adds nothing in weight to the tool bag for mobile engineers. Battery life is amazing, can't really go wrong with it to be fair.
I can see why you have so many thumbs down
Accept its got about the same light output as a candle in a jam jar
Color temperature and highish CRI is my favorite things about these lights. Finally a company that’s not using cheap looking blueish high temp LEDs. Good video man!
And he goes like "I hate that color of the light". One can really tell he is not into these details and judges too fast. Didn't even discover, that you can change the Focus on the second light he unboxed.
@@justacharly Yeah, dont think he understands why the color temp is what is... which is a shame, low CRI lights are just awful.
The 6amp battery lasts pretty much all day if your using it. Amazing battery
I sold my snap-on underhood light and bought the Milwaukee. It was a great decision
Know a company has their act together when they don’t have paperback stickers. Agreed!! 😂
Too bad about the clamshell packaging though. I get that they need to display them for buyers and keep the product secure, but those center fuse points are frustrating.
I have the light with the 2x4 clamp and I like it a lot. The magnets are super useful to stick to the underside of the car or the cabinets or whatever. Also I use the clamp to grab onto anything else.
The spotlight would be good for a boat or look around a big property.
I have to know. Did you get the Milwaukee bottle opener?
He mentioned having all of Milwaukees "electric" tools. But my question is it corded and cordless or just cordless electric tools? Lol I've only seen cordless so far.
I believe the hood light is that specific color temp due to the TrueView technology.
Spotlight could be nice when Boating at night! the little Black flashlight is pretty cool!
I wish they would make a Gen 2 version of the black metal flashlight since it has been discontinued. Maybe make it 2000 lumens instead of just 800

🙏❤️ Love from Scotland ❤️🙏
For working on cars, especially detailing and anything to do with paint finishes or interiors, high CRI lighting is extremely important. Milwaukee have their “Trueview” moniker for high CRI lights. Critical for any detailing / correction work. [Edit: but he already has the Scangrip lights in his arsenal, so I guess he knows all about high CRI and CRI+ and R9 etc...]
I'm a little like you and I love their lights. I have their stand light and their rover from this range.
Any chance you test out Adam's Polishes V2 pressure washer?
What! I love the yellow color. Easier on the eyes than white or blueish higher temps
Matt, the M12 tower light can be plugged in as well. If you look at the bottom you will see it has a 120v plug if your batteries run down.
The metal flashlight has a super cool zoom feature.
I wish they would make a Gen 2 version of it since it has been discontinued. Maybe make it 2000 lumens instead of just 800
The new lanterns are cool. Matt looking for a cord in the rocket light box lol
Hey Matt, I agree I think the flashlight is a fantastic deal at only $80 I hope you sell a lot them. Thanks for doing this it’s a big undertaking but I think it will prove to be A great resource have a good one happy Fourth of July🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
Can you use any of the lights to check paint inperfections. Thank you. Keep up the great work love your show.
Dino from montreal quebec the lightsaber shaped hood light has the TrueView tech that is said to make objects look color accurate. So it can possibly be used to check for paint imperfections.
@@ocqrs Thanks
I wish they would make a Gen 2 version of the black aluminum light since it has been discontinued. Maybe make it 2000 lumens instead of just 800 and make it a little more compact
You no the first light the rocket light when plugged in to a cord it charges ur battery as well
Just bought the flash light never new they one.
What do you think of the m12 detailing light? Would you recommend just getting a scangrip over it?
I think it's pretty good. I like having it, but I'd pick the Sunmatch over it.
@@ObsessedGarage Good to know! I like that the Sunmarch is 1/2 the price lol
no, they arent made for hiking the trail. They're work lights. Used for work. They use the same batteries you already own for your work tools.
Though I agree handheld flash lights arent as great as a work light on a stand. That would be much more useful on the job site. Assuming of course you dont have AC for proper AC work lights.
OH! Maybe, just maybe, SAR and emergency crews might like them. They get a bunch of flashlights and a crapload of M12 batteries and take them all out with them on calls.
Pyramid light: The handles look like major pinch points. The blood blister kind. Does it charge the battery when a cord is connected?
Under hood light: What's the clamping force of the bracket? Looks like it would slip and fall down. Or slide down the to the base of the hood. I like how it's cordless. No more cord scratching my fender. That makes it worth the price.
It would be good to hear an opinion about how the buttons work with various levels of gloves. Mechanic, carpenter, and winter gloves.
Also, I'm surprised that there weren't any slim lights in the M12 line. Something that would go into a tight engine bay to inspect belts, hoses, and seals.
Didn't know Milwaukee was capable of making Light Sabers 🤔
May Milwaukee be with you while the [power] force is not with you 😂
Would this be adequate color temp for paint correction?
No...it's not great for that.
Subscribed, have any more of those metal flashlights left? I can’t find them anywhere
I don't. They discontinued them.
Matt the tool man Moreman
The under hood light can double as Starwars Light sabre 😂
God your hard to please 😂 you dissed most of the lights I use on a regular basis haha
That Chris Reeve insigno though
Lantern is perfect for tent camping. Light in tent and can charge phone
I’d like to see a night demonstration with all the lights. I have the M18 Rocket and an M12 River.
Those flashlights are offly big for the performance they put out. Check out brands like Acebeam, Nitecore, Olight, Thrunite, Imalent, Wowtac.
Olight 💪🏿
You’re going to like the M 18 line better for LED lights, we have one of the biggest cube ones that take the big M 18 battery and that sucker is totally legit
The usb ones are also very nice, the carabiner flex lights and headlamp are always close at hand for me
Let's go!!!!!!
Those warmer LED models are definitely older models. I use the first handheld model you looked at for work and love it. The head actually extends and retracts to provide a variation between spotlight and beam style lights fyi.
Nope. Milwaukee has the color temp the way it is not by mistake. It’s part of their marketing.
Would be better if you tested them in the dark!
Am I the only one who thinks that Milwaukee should ditch the M12 charger and just include the multi-volt (M12/M18) charger in M12 and M18 kits.
Oh can you PLEASE do a review of their lithium USB lighting offerings. That’s the newest flashlights and the hard hat light and the magnetic light etc. ask em to send it to you they’ll do it free my milwaukee rep gives me that crap free after $1,000 purchase you spent 10x that. You should check them out in the dark too
Is there a different in the 3.0 xc and coming besides the size?
toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m12-3ah-compact-xc-battery-differences/#:~:text=The%20compact%203.0Ah%20M12,has%20three%20lithium-ion%20cells. The xc 3.0 should get a bit more runtime on heavier duty tasks like drilling, I dont have any xc 3.0 myself, but the runtime on my heated jacket between a cp3.0 and a xc4.0 is a good bit, also I've bought 3 cp3.0, one walked away, and two stopped taking a charge (green/red flashing) within a year of use
Kinda wish you’d do the milwaukee lighting in general. You could even include the MxFuel line. Have you seen MxFuel yet? MASSASSSIVE MATTIE STYLE LIGHTING
You know how the 12v and 18v rocket lines have the manual pop down foot stands? The MX Fuel line has hydraulic operated legs and wheels. Also two words. MX Fuel JACK. HAMMER. Only way to solve the heavy m18 is to make it heavier and put a v8 on it after all 😝
Considering the light is over $3,000 and jack hammer like $2,500 I doubt he wanted to invest $5,500 to show off 2 tools
@@AlwaysBeSmart674 are we talking about the same guy?
My company makes professional mechanic work lights that exceed by far the capabilities of any other work light that I have ever seen or heard of. And our products are powered by the same m12 battery. Can I ship you one? I believe IO sent you an email some time ago as well.
this guy is like watching paint dry , had to turn it off after 5 minutes
When is the site going to updated with the other stuff you are going to carry? I already own most of whats on the site now lol
It will be updated soon it takes time.
the little 3 led stick light has a add on magnetic accessory that makes is way more useful in the car world. without it, it's pretty useless.
The black flashlight is awesome for some reason they had one in the clearence section for 50% off I grabbed that thing so fast lol was out the door for 44$ it was the clear packaging with just the flashlight I love it so much picked up an 1100 lumen USB rechargeable one and I like that one ever more cause of the size but both worth evey penny I would buy 25$ flashlights and they always failed when really needed them I should be good for a while now and they all ready saved the day at work few weeks ago when we ran out of light
I wish they would make a Gen 2 version of it since it has been discontinued. Maybe make it 2000 lumens instead of just 800
Was at home depot the other day in the clearance section they had the black metal flash light for 40$ I was like a kid on Christmas lol but love it really nice plus I always have charged m12s on hand now that I been using it for a few weeks I would say its worth 90$ +
Hey Matt, hope you and the family had a good 4th
THIS IS THE MILWAUKEE STUFF I NEEDED. also the m12 surge is the single best impact driver ever made fight me irl. Don’t really pls you’d near my ass.
Just so you know, blue light is very bad for your eyes 👀. I do like the 12 volt Rocket light and will get one soon but I will not use Facebook anymore sorry
Matt you look like Ben Bailey, the host of cash cab
right you are! and that observation is worth 400 dollars! you can leave now and keep the 400 or you can try again for double your money, but if you get it wrong im clicking off the page right where we are, so take a minute, think about it and let me know!
Is just me! I'm sure most people watch these informative videos to learn things and to see the tools. Why do a lot these youtubers have the camera on themselves more than what they're showing. RUclipsrs we don't need to see you'll faces at all.
no timestamps
Just be careful with the Milwaukee underhood light. The ligtbar is thin aluminium and mine has some dents in it. Its fantastic and I would buy it again just a little disappointed in how thin the aluminum is on the light.
Yeah they also need to make it NON textured 🤮 i have a hell of a time trying to clean it and it doesn’t clean well at all. The plastic lense also scratches easily and not chemical resistant. Found that out when a coolant line blew. Hooks should be rubber lined too.
So condescending. I don't know why that's necessary when reviewing flashlights. You act like you're solving world hunger or some shit.
Milwaukee tools are some of the most overpriced tools to come out of China. Good but not cheap.
Stopped watching at "I hate that yellow light"... dude, read up on CRI.
You really need to quit now. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. You keep giving out misinformation and proving your ignorance of tools. You have absolutely no business selling tools. Your test of the M12 torque wrench proved that when you thought it was a “smart” impact wrench. One minute into this video you gave out wrong information about the person lighting line and clearly you have no idea what the M12 light tower would be used for when you suggested that it might be useful for “under car usage”. Please please stop what you are doing and find another gig.
Ha, ha... Real men like me have lift, so we need a taller light. I'm supremely confident by the end of the project I will be a high level expert on things Milwaukee. I heard this same argument with detailing and paint correction, then pressure washers. Just watch me...
The ranting about charging phones was really bizarre. Pretty odd thing to feel like a big man about. Other people use their phones more than you, GPS, calls, emails, manuals, drawings, for 12+ hours. It's really not difficult to understand.
