    Milwaukee really missed out on not using USB Type-C. I know it's a small thing but in 2018 the new plug should be standard on all devices by now. Plus no frustration because it's reversible. Other than that a great ensemble of lights!

    • @robertknowles3677
      @robertknowles3677 5 лет назад

      @@55afishead I don't see how anyone missed out. There are millions more non Type-C devices out there. I use a tremendous amount of USB charging devices. I don't have a single on that us USB C yet. Most, millions of people, have always had the none C type usb devices therefore tons of recharging capabilities. If Milwaukee made it USB c then we would all have to run out to get such a cable or Milwaukee would have to include one. But then we would have to have a bunch of extra cables so we could recharge the light where ever we may be. I don't see how the hell anyone could say Milwaukee missed out on anything. You make the device to accommodate the majority not the minority.

    • @55afishead
      @55afishead 5 лет назад +1

      @@robertknowles3677 I have been using type C charging for a few years now. There are a few big advantages to it. The biggest is it charges 3 to 4 times faster. And I really like how you don't have an orientation when plugging it in. It is the future it's just most people are afraid of change. The device should have both types of plugs on it.

    I own all of the rechargeable lights in the video. Love them all. The pivoting head models are, by far, my favorites. You are giving out bad info and even though they may still work, you shouldn't be dunking any of the plastic lights in water. They are only rated IP-54 Only the aluminum flashlights are rated for that(IP-67). Yes they will probably still work, but if internal water damage is found, it can void the warranty. You aren't alone. Most folks have no clue and assume IP-anything means water and dust proof. Please see the IP rating chart here:
    www.nemaenclosures.com/blog/ingress-protection-ratings/
    That aside, love your videos and keep up the good work.

    I became a fan of LED lights headlights headlamps while fishing keeping everything hands-free these lights I might just go ahead and buy some I could actually use some these led lights on the metal areaof a chair because of the magnetic stripping I could just put on the light and see what I'm seeing and I'll see where I'm going especially in the dark Beach that you have no lighting

      On a fishing boat, isn't most of the metal aluminum? We were not so lucky to have lights for our heads, we would hold the fishy flashlight in our mouth. Fun.

      Yes, Milwaukee offers a flashlight with a swivel head and magnet, as well as a black flashlight. Hope this helps!

    The problem with those lights is that the only way to charge is by usb in case of an emergency or anything with no power it will be hard to charge it after since no power it would be better if they were battery powered

    USB charging is so yesterday. Make these things wireless charging capable.

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  6 лет назад

      I am unsure that USB is yesterday, they could be USB C. My phone charges wirelessly and it is slow charging. I plug it in every night rather than use the wireless. Plus, the wireless charging can affect the signal to and from Bluetooth devices. It would be a cool option and I am sure it would also increase the cost of the lights significantly.

    • @OldAndGettingOlder
      @OldAndGettingOlder 6 лет назад

      It's yesterday with Milwaukee. They're on the backside of the curve. USB C would be on the front side of the curve. Wireless would be ahead of the curve.

    If a household doesn't already have lights, they aint buying these. These are over priced for what they are. Yes I have tried some of them, they are nice, but not at their price. Plastic hinges wear out, get loose and break.

    • @mikejackman4416

      snowismas what isn’t made of plastic these days..? There used to be a steel light made but it uses 4 or 6 C cells and if you fell in the lake it would drag you to the bottom...just saying

    USB is a terrible platform. Once the light dies, it's now out of service until recharged, right when I need it. All lights should use M12 (or build an M6 mini line), but they need to be swap-rechargable. End of story.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews 6 лет назад

      The batteries are removable so you can carry extras. The light will charge them when connected to USB, or you can buy a separate charger. They hit 80% in an hour, or two hours for full charge.

    • @JohnSmith-qj7hd
      @JohnSmith-qj7hd 5 лет назад

      I like the usb. I just plug it in when driving. Also, I carry extra batteries. Also, I like that I can use a phone charger if I'm somewhere and forgot the charger.

    There are many good flashlights available and these do not seem to offer anything new. It is very strange that these units all start on high and must then be switched to lower power levels. It is a mystery why Milwaukee is bringing out so many ordinary products in areas where there are already many good choices. Too many choices are more confusing than helpful.

    Man for a second I thought Milwaukee was being truly awesome for once and had made an 18650 without proprietary plasticizing to make them useless to anything beyond the handful of Milwaukee items that take them.
    I expect too much of them. 😆
