Rupert Holmes, lyricist/librettist of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," and star player Will Chase, discuss the current and critically-acclaimed Broadway revival of Holmes' 1985 musical mystery. In this show, based on Charles Dickens' last and ultimately unfinished novel, the audience is assigned the task of picking the murderer, because although Dickens laid out the case in the novel, he died before revealing the killer's identity.

The part about phantom cracked me up 😂 when I first saw the scene with Moonfall the first thing I thought was, "It's the Phantom and Christine!"

Hell, the actor who played Rosa Bud in the Original Broadway Production, Patti Cohenour, would herself go on to be the original alternate for Sarah Brightman as Christine in the Original Broadway cast of Phantom, and also Howard McGillan, the original John Jasper, would himself later go on to earn the title of the Longest running Erik/Phantom in Broadway History(a title now held by Brad Little)!

Holmes is wrong about George Rose. He didn't win a Tony for Pirates. He won for Drood and My Fair Lady,

He was nominated. Holmes said, "I believe," so, he wasn't asserting an error. 🤷‍♀️
