Never heard that before about winding up you shoulders to preload the rotational tension but after you demonstrate it with your hands it made so much sense 🙏
very nice video, well done. I love how definitive youve described 360 flip didnt forget pop shuv, kickflip, varial kickflip, footing all that everything on point. awesome!
Best tutorial. Most of them mislead me saying I need to lean back. No you don’t wan’t to lean back. What you want is weight should be distributed more to your back foot at the moment of pop/scoop and this does not equal to lean back. As a result of leaning back the board was landing in front of me and my back foot always ended up behind the board tail.
This is a really excellent tutorial - thank you! Definitely stoked to try some of this advice. Even just watching your kickflip a few times was super informative. I do wish the wind noises were less intense, though… maybe you could put a “dead cat” over the camera mic or something?
Good luck, you got it !! Yes, the wind was very bad this day. I’ll see if I can tweak the mic on my camera from here, but might refilm this so it’s a bit more concise and on a day with no wind 👍🏻
@@vibing2471 yeah, sorry to be that guy in the comments. It really is a helpful video, and i bet a second take would be even better. I’d also love to see your take on a kickflip tutorial. I can land the kickflip a few times a session, but my board tends to turn backside, or stick to my front foot and do a partial hospital flip. Or, I land too far forward or backward. I’m kind of amazed to see that your board doesn’t turn much, and curious how you do that. It would be really interesting even just to see POV slo-mo of how your feet move, and also to hear your thought process on how to do a kickflip well. All the best on the channel and on the skating!
@@swr410 no worries! Trust me, I almost didn’t upload this bc of the wind and planned on doing it again but a pov kickflip how to is a good idea. A big thing with them and any trick in general is practice and muscle memory.. keep working on em and you’ll have them on lock before you know it. I’ll think more about how I do mine and try to share some tips that can assist. Keep progressing!
Your tutorials are nice, especially like the POV and attention to upper body position. Just a pointer for that wind noise you’re getting, the best bet would be a physical wind muff but there’s also some AI tools out there that let you clean up spoken audio a LOT when editing. Looking forward to more tutorials
Much appreciated, good to know! Thanks for watching and for providing tips in return 👌🏻 been busy lately but deff more to come soon! Keep progressing 💪🏻
Opening and then closing the shoulders as you go up really speed up the rotation of the board for me. I catch it with my front foot only. Would you have any tip how to get the back foot on the board? Mine just goes to the ground after the scoop somehow.
@@pistopit7142 have you tried doing them fakie ? This helped me when I had that problem, it sort of forces you to commit your back foot to land on the board
@@vibing2471thanks. I've tried it fakie. But fakie to me is like trying to shave with my left hand when I am right handed. I am so confused by this trick. I can do pretty high heelflip where I lift my both feet high. But for treflip, because I need to scoop with my back leg, it somehow goes to the ground after. I've tried to jump higher and tuck my knees staying longer in the air, but that usually ends up in rotating board hitting my back leg knee. It's been months like that.
@@pistopit7142 keep working on em, it will take some time but trust the process ! Work on getting comfortable riding switch and then try em fakie and I think you’ll start to find it. Don’t give up !
@@vibing2471 thanks mate. I prcatice them 1-2h every day for the last 6 months. Still not landed a single one. But I developped some serious leg muscles and also my heelflips feel so easy to do now :) One side effect: as I prectice treflips, I completely lost how to do pop shovit. I used to be able to do them quite high.
Honestly, I don't think I jump too much forward, but maybe a tad. Practicing doing the trick going fakie will help you to learn to keep the board under your feet while it flips. Good luck!

Wow really? You sound brand new
Damn, this is one of the best 36 flip vids on you tube

clean af tutorial, thanks bro

I actually learned tres before pop shuvs, but I do agree pop shuvs would’ve made learning them easier
