1975 seems like a lifetime ago to some people. I’d been married for 3 years and had a 1 year old son (Brandon). I actually like those pound cakes better than made from scratch pound cakes. I have all of these ingredients and I’m having family over this weekend. This will be a great dessert.. Thank you… Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Those are the best cookbooks. My mother has been gone 12 yrs, lived to be 95. I have several older books..those recipes are the absolute best ones. 😍❤😊
Love it Karen got be good coming from 1975 best graduating class in Kokomo Indiana go huskies .Love cookbooks from the past people really cared about cooking today is different they usually just stick something in a microwave . I will give this recipe a try just love that time of old recipes .Hope you will cook something from the recipe book again .Have a good memorial day weekend 🇺🇲❤
I made this today and didn't put the glaze in it but just sprinkled with powdered sugar as you recommended. It's so soft and moist. Perfect! Thank you for sharing.
How wonderful that you have this recipe book. 1975 Is the year my only son was born. Does your family still have reunions? Unfortunately mine does not. My son keeps saying that we should have one but not may of the others want it. He is so sad about that. ❤😊

Hello Ms Karen … this cake is perfect for my son he’s a chocolateholic he gets what he wants but not so so sweet with chocolate frosting ,Lol Thanks for sharing this with all of us. ❤
It’s a shame you can’t give me a piece over the internet! Lol! Unfortunately I can’t make the cake unless I order the cake mix and pudding from Amazon! Maybe, I’ll order some cake mixes the next time I get paid.
The recipe called for water. I was following the family recipe. Typically, if I make a boxed mix, I use milk, butter instead of oil, and one extra egg. No, 1975 is not old but it's a treasure to me to have after 48 years.
