You go anywhere else in Queens and right off the back you get a Wash and Blow dry! None of this, "If you want your hair blown out you gotta pay an extra $10-20. Or leave the salon with your hair went. " HA!! Salon Rock is definitely not "the best".

OMG! I've been in a similar situation. Years ago, my then girlfriend insisted I go to the hair salon she used. I said no thanks but she insisted and made an appointment for me to see "Paul" this hoidy toidy Frenchmen. She loved Paul and said "he's the best stlyist in the city." I reluctantly agreed to have Paul do my hair. When we arrived at the salon, after a brief wait, I was called back to the wash basins to have some weird gal shampoo my hair. I had to put on a special robe and endure being abandoned with my head leaned back in the basin and my hair soaking wet with shampoo. No one explained what I needed to do. I had to get up and seek assistance. Once rinsed, I was released without instructions as to where I was to go next. Finally, someone directed to Paul's station. That's when my troubles began! Paul was on the phone arguing in French with his girlfriend. He was on the phone arguing the entire time he was cutting my hair. He nicked me three times on my neck with his electric razor. It actually drew blood! I complained and threatened to leave and he finally hung up. I feared he might have snipped off one of my ears with the scissors if he hadn't gotten off the phone as distracted and angry as he was. In the end, I got the shittiest, extremely overpriced haircut of my life! Plus the Nick's in my neck were stinging. In all fairness, my girlfriend should've insisted on paying for the fiasco! Too bad Yelp wasn't around back then. Oh well, live and learn! Lol
