    Tamara... Thank you so much for teaching us how to crochet this beautiful shawl. It would certainly make a lovely prayer shawl.. and it is so easy.. I am adding this pattern to my growing file of videos showing how to crochet various shawls.. I can’t wait to try it. I love the beautiful lacy look.. 💜

    Absolutely love Lion Brand yarn and all the different variations they offer. Nice pattern, appears very simple to do with a beautiful ending result. I love to spend my free time making items for the elderly; this shawl looks like it would be perfect to take the chill off. Thank you so much for posting!!

    Thank you! This is such a simple pattern that you can do while watching tv or just riding along in the car. One little "pro" tip: For crochet beginners... if you had to put it down and can't remember if you did the "chain 1" in between your Doubles... look at the loop on the hook, if there are two little loops around the yarn on your hook then you have NOT done the "chain 1". If you HAVE done it, you'll see just a single loop around the yarn under the loop on your hook.

    Probably a dumb question but I bought two balls of this yarn to make this project because I'd like to make it larger. Do you know how many repeats the stitch count would be? Seems any odd number should work but I'm not confident with that ;-) I'm a large sized lady who needs more width and length of a stole like this. Thanks for the tutorial, your videos are always great and super clear to follow! Thanks in advance.

    • @tamarairene
      @tamarairene 7 лет назад +2

      Hi Jenifer! Not a dumb question at all! Yes, any odd number should work - and then just work as many rows as you like to get the length you like! :) I hope you enjoy making it! Thank you so much!

    This may sound like a silly question but,why do you prefer to unwind from the outside rather then pull from center on this yarn?

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  8 лет назад +7

      Not a silly question at all! This yarn has a lot of texture - as I'm sure you saw in the video! - and that can make it a bit easier to tangle when pulling from the center, as the yarn can sort of grab onto itself. Pulling from the outside it's all easy, no tangles!

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 года назад +1

      Hi Sharon! For this pattern, blocking is pretty simple! If you've ever had a sweater that told you to "reshape and lay flat to dry," then you have blocked before. So you want to get the shawl damp, then lay it out flat in a nice rectangle shape. Let it air dry and you're done! Some people like to use pins and such to get a precise shape, but that's optional. :) I hope that helps!
