Yes, I came here to 'visit' too! 20 days later, I still can't believe some one could do this to a peaceful neighbor. I had a strange but hopeful thought: Maybe when Putin is hanged and Mariupol begins to rebuild they can skip the iron works or at least install scrubbers to keep the air clean. Slava Ukraine!!

Старый пляж на левом, дк Искра(больше известны как "Восьмые ворота") особо зацепили. На старом пляже зависали когда права получил, ездили с друзьями через день они бухали, а мне главное что заправлялись в складчину)))) порадовала англоговорящая молодёж
Actualy they have to blame Akhmetov, who owns a major part of that industry there. It's possible to install better filters, but that is expensive for him. In other hand people of Mariupol are actualy support Akhmetov, who knows for what reason.

Сейчас-то да - уже поздно пить Боржоми, но доведение производства до европейских стандартов ДОЛЖНО ПРОИСХОДИТЬ, точно так же как и постепенное избавление от всех шахт Донбасса. Hello everybody. To comment on the girl with headache in clear air. I think it is because the body has so much power in clean air to start a cleaning-process!! So it is a good sign and if she would stay in clean air the headache will disappear after some time. Our body stores ungood substances in fatty tissue etc. when it has not the power or time to throw it out. Just to store it, where it can do no damage. Awaiting to get rid of it one day. If the body wants to get rid of it, it has to throw it in the blood before. In that moment, the headache appears. So fasting some time can also spare the energy to throw out bad substances, and to
do cupping. Some substances are soluble in water and are entered from the blood into urine, fine. Some are soluble in fat and this is more difficult. But cupping can relieve a little bit. Some have nose bleeding. Sorry for my unsufficient English. I hope your video helps to touch some peoples conscience. Thanks for sharing.

а устроить обще городскую забастовку с требованием установить очистительные и переоборудовать производство Неееет, это сложно, это всего лишь здоровье детей
установка очистных увеличит стоимость эксплуатации, в лучшем случае уменьшит прибыль, а хужшем приведёт к убытку, и то и то приведёт к сокращению зарплат или рабочих мест, потому что Ахметову, как любому нормальному бизнесмену, нужна прибыль. Соответственно люди с требованиями должны быть готовы к иному исходу - уменьшению выбросов за счёт уменьшения заработка.
Видимо, они пока к этому не готовы.
Многие работники этих заводов говорят о том, что воздух на хлеб не намажешь.

Its so interesting to hear different point of view, from a person who grew in another culture. Because when you're born in this kind of place, lived your childhood there and though you moved, you're not surprised with this kind of environment. Great review of Mariupol! You should really visit the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro in central Ukraine. These are the cities in the heart of Ukraine, which are very patriotic Ukrainian cities.

Not true at all, both cities are predominantly Russian speaking, and just like rest of Eastern Ukraine stuck in CCCP era, Lviv is the heart of Ukr patriotism, end of!

In the Dnipro City itself, most people speak Russian as a 1st language, but there is also a significant number who also speak Ukrainian as a first language. But in the Dnipro Oblast, in the rural areas, Ukrainian is the main language that is spoken. Zaporizhzhia has a larger percentage of Russian speakers but again, there is no correlation regarding this point and how patriotic they are.
Most of those who speak Russian in these cities are ethnic Ukrainians and for the most part very patriotic. 82% of those who live in the city of Dnipro and 70% of those who live in the city of Zaporizhzhia are ethnic Ukrainians. Most of the soldiers fighting for the Ukrainian army who have died have come from these two cities.
The Zaporozhian Sich and the Zaporozhian Cossacks are at the heart of Ukrainian history. So regardless of the fact that many in this region speak Russian as well as Ukrainian, the fact remains that most of them are Ukrainian and patriotic Ukrainians at that. Sure there are a minority of ethnic Russians in these regions. But the fact remains that the majority are Ukrainians and the regions of this area have always historically been at the heart of Ukrainian nationalism.
No one denied that the people of Lviv are also Patriotic Ukrainians, that is very true. However, so are most of the ethnic Ukrainians in Dnipro, Zaporozhia and even Kyiv.
It's only the areas of Ukraine which had large ethnic Russian populations like the Donbass, Crimea and the Odessa regions, where a lot of the people were not very patriotic.
Western Ukraine in the Lviv region, central Ukraine in the Dnipro and the Zaporozhia regions as well as the Kyiv region have always been at the heart of Ukrainian nationalism and the history of Ukraine.
And yeah, both Dnipro and Lviv are beautiful cities.

There was air filtration systems on the smoke stacks here.
That’s why the Midwest is called the “Rust Belt” because globalization moved all our factories out.
It’s heartbreaking to see the beautiful people, and to know what happened to their city.

If I said at the time this video was posted, in 3 years time this city will lay in ruins nobody would have believed me. War can come swiftly and strike anywhere, those of us that live in the west need to prepare.
If Putin isn't stopped, Moldova and the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) will likely be next.

А может быть как в Европе - когда в ничего практически не значащем ПАСЕ решают по сути не особо важные вопросы за деньги и при этом их таки на этом поймали и заставили вести внутреннее расследование. И по результатам этого расследования кого-то уже наказали.
ПАСЕ - это больше для новостей организация, чем для каких то реальных решений.
Поэтому сейчас нам нужно стремиться к ЕС, не потому что это рай на земле и идеальная организация, а потому что это организация, которая развита значительно лучше нас, которая уже прошла ту стадию, где находимся мы и которая, соотственно, может очень хорошо нам помочь развиться быстрее. А вот когда мы достигнем их уровня - можно будет уже говорить о движении ещё дальше.

I am so impressed that you went here. It is a very difficult city. I don't know if it's personally risky, but it is definitely a difficult place, and you are a brave guy, at the very least from the perspective of your intellectual curiosity.
Here is not dangerous to foreigners. Now there are a lot of representatives of international humanitarian organizations. In addition, many foreigners study at Mariupol universities.

Unfortunately, visiting Ukraine again is not possible for me at the moment. But if I could, it would be in the top 3 countries I would visit. I was there only 3 weeks, and that was nowhere near enough.
The guy from Mariupol, who guided you throughout the city is totally right about saying that it feels like Stalin's era shit. It totally is, it was built in times when the government didn't really care about people health and ecology. And now it requires a huge amount of investments in order to solve this problem.

Oh Boy has this video aged very well. It's terrible that it's all been transformed by destruction and chaos. I know one day the Ukrainian people can rebuild what they once had as far as buildings but their Spirits are what still reigns supreme.
