Peter is a REAL Drummer....had impeccable timing for the songs...I saw one of his drum kits at Guitar Center once that had the timing of the SONGS written out...PURE PRECISION with for thought....KISS is 4 parts that when together makes a Infinite number...everyone of those members of the Original KISS is non replaceable ...and Gene who I Love ....should kick him self in the ass for thinking other wise/PERIOD!
Why would you have to right the timing of your songs down if you were any good? Precision? Eric Singer is lightyears ahead of Peter on precision. And Eric Carr was lightyears ahead of Peter on showmanship and raw power AND he was precise. You need to get out of the house more often. I've seen every lineup KISS put together except for the one with Mark St.John. The BEST KISS was Paul, Gene, ERIC CARR and BRUCE KULICK.

Pete was the TRUE rock & roller of KISS! Even more so than Ace. Pete always looked COOL.😺 Mr. Criscuola was also the craziest member of the band. 1970's Peter Criss, next to Keith Moon, are my two favorite skin beaters. I like Bonham 1968 - 73 too. After '73, Bonham slowly went south.
Considering Bonhams best drum tracks are either Fool in the Rain, Achilles Last Stand or Kashmir Knebworth version that is a very interesting opinion you have

At 0:36 the beginning of the end for Peter and Ace in KISS, they were the biggest band in the world up to this point, but this was the start of their decline. Peter & Ace both became millionaires really quickly and then lost interest in the band just as fast.
Having Gene attempt to "rescue" Peter was embarrassing. The contempt he feels, not just for his fans, but even for his own band mates, is palpable and disgusting. I've always loathed him. He is the only (albeit huge) blemish on this otherwise legendary band. And he can't even play bass worth a shit. Peter and Ace laughing at him to his face was beautiful.

Peter and Ace were the true talent of this band although Gene and Paul where the business minds behind their success. The reason why they boycotted the talent from the band was because they wanted all the profits for themselves and when you don't have talent, you don't want to be around talent! This is my personal opinion, of the demise of kiss and what happened to the original members!
If I was Peter I would have done everything in my power to sabotage that band in 79 if I could too and I would be playing at my all-time low because kiss was absolutely nothing what they were 4 years ago. They were ghosts of themselves I mean from love gun to Dynasty what the hell happened there I can tell you what happened Gene and Paul, Bill Aucoin / cocaine prior to that what they represented they were just about merchandising making money and being egotistical jackasses and he wanted nothing to do with that anymore and I don't blame him for getting out I would have used a bunch of drugs and whatever I could have done to get out of that scene cuz it was pathetic. Peter Criss was rightfully voted by Rolling Stone as a top five drummer of all time. Peart, Bonham, Moon, Criss, and Copeland. I’d have him as #2.
