All the smack Paul talks, and it turned out that the drum tracks on Alive was the only thing that didn’t need to be doctored. What a great and underrated drummer.
That's just because he was sitting at the drum kit and the other 3 were Running around and jumping around the stage and therefore causing them miss chords also the microphones were cancelling out because of the explosion from the pyro that's what they had corrected,so whenever you listened to the album you didn't have to hear the mistakes, the album was supposed to be a souvenir of what a KISS show was about, many other bands did the same thing, they just never admitted it
@@Jayhawk9of course you are right, it's a lot harder to to hit a snare drum and a cymbal while you're sitting down than it is to play the correct chords while you're running around doing the splits on seven inch heels, lol 🤣

When I heard the solo, something clicked. This was Peter's Sing, Sing, Sing. I didn't learn of Peter's connection to Gene until many years later. Like so many others, Peter inspired me to want to play drums. I'm still going.

Peter Criss is why playing the drums has always been on my bucket list. I have most of a nice Rolland edrum set, but with my spinal injury, it is looking like the reality of my dream of playing is just a losing battle. Peter and Ace have always been my favorites, and I have never bought an album since Peter left. Not even Dynasty
Peter is so very talented and down to earth. I got to meet him in 2003 backstage with KISS. I was so worried that I was going to be disappointed in the band that I followed all my life. Peter was so very nice. I’m so glad I got to meet you!❤
I discovered Peter Chris when I was 15 and just starting my musical journey. I never knew back then what it was that struck a chord in me with his drumming. Great video! The best part was seeing all the musicians that cite Peter as an influence. Tichy, Adler, John5, Nate Morton. Saw Nate when he was in Paul's solo band a few years ago. Nate is a beast. Kinda funny that he talked about the great drumming on Dynasty when the majority of that record is Anton Fig.

I think the list of musicians who were inspired by KISS is incredibly long and extensive. Let’s see how many you can name. I will start. Paul Gilbert Alex Skolnick
You know, I was a big KISS fan, back in my teenage years. That drum solo from Alive, was the talk of the school, when that double LP came out. Watching you guys grow as a band, was pretty cool. Then the dissention started to arise. I do believe, it really erupted after the Solo releases came out. Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley, were top 2 sellers of the 4. With Gene, and Paul, sucking hind titty. Especially Paul really tanking in sales. Next thing I remember was Ace Leaving, and Peter following next. after that I lost interest, in the band. I just to say thanx to you Peter, for the good school memories. Music was always, my escape, and you guys were part of it.
The only real badass kiss ever had then Ace God bless u Peter thank u for the memories "Beth is my Daughters song just texted her right now hearing "Beth"
I know Peter and Ace had major issues but they had alot of young musicians that they inspired. To this day, i never heard another musician that Paul inspired. Maybe that's why he comes across as bitter. He always says that Peter was no John Bonham but he was never a Robert Plant. Hell, he was no Steve Marriott. I think that's the guy that inspired him.
Peter was amazing. No doubt. My back teeth are WRECKED from chattering the solo in class to keep calm or focus.. my rare talent is chattering Peter Criss drumming. Never an issue of the talent. Always an issue of hindsight. Ace and Peter are just so “memememe” talking about KISS where Paul and Gene thank the fans and refuse to make it personal except for loving the experience. Loving kiss doesn’t mean I gotta hear you guys say “the REAL kiss” for like 20 years
I’m not a drummer, but I can hear, and can discern between sounds which are pleasing and those that are not. To me Criss always delivered and supported the music brilliantly, yet conservatively. I think drum solos in rock based systems don’t belong, they more well placed within a jazz setting. I never enjoyed listening to them, if it isn’t Buddy Rich, there’s no point
Alive 1 has the best drum solo along with Deep Purples Ian Piece the mule 1972 Amsterdam and there is no better. Unfortunately i can't split the two. Bowie.
I was a 15 year old drummer working as a busboy at steakhouse restaurant in CA in 1982, when Peter & his wife stopped in for dinner.

Alive #1, best drum solo of all time in spite of all the better drummers out there !
He would swing, but those solos were just the world’s longest drum rolls.
If kiss had ended after Dynasty, it really wouldn't have been a bad thing, as long as the reunion still happened at the end of the 90's!
The only real badass kiss ever had then Ace God bless u Peter thank u for the memories "Beth is my Daughters song just texted her right now hearing "Beth"
Peter the travel, soul, ❤
Loving kiss doesn’t mean I gotta hear you guys say “the REAL kiss” for like 20 years
Great Vid, Peter rules!
Peter was and is the shiz! His live solo is my favorite live drum solo recording. It is so intense.
Love you Catman \,,/
I'd be interesting to hear that solo without the phaser effects.
Peter Criss 102: The DRC Shuffle.
Like all the greats he won't get recognition till he dies.
ELVIS IS PASTOR BOB JOYCE
Hate to break it to Nate Morton, but Peter Criss did not play on Dynasty. Peter only played on Dirty Livin. still a nice accolade..
Seems that nate is confused since peter didnt play on dinasty
Peter Criss is god 🥁🥁
I’m not a drummer, but I can hear, and can discern between sounds which are pleasing and those that are not. To me Criss always delivered and supported the music brilliantly, yet conservatively. I think drum solos in rock based systems don’t belong, they more well placed within a jazz setting. I never enjoyed listening to them, if it isn’t Buddy Rich, there’s no point
Back when Ace Kicked ass,it's a shame he doesn't even remember playing those shows, what a waste...😔
Good drummer. Drugs are bad.
Alive 1 has the best drum solo along with Deep Purples Ian Piece the mule 1972 Amsterdam and there is no better. Unfortunately i can't split the two. Bowie.
Was so disappointed that Paul didn't say for Peter at MSG,and Peter's parents were sitting right over there 😢🫶❤️..
Who ever says peter was not a good drummer needs to be checked out especially Paul Stanley lol
The real Cat-Man.
Sorry Nate Morton.. you should dedicate your video to Anton Fig! If Dynasty was your influence on drumming.. then Peter didnt record those parts! Eheh
