Hi everyone! I'm online to answer questions for a bit ... ask away!
Hi Andy! What happened with the 16th scale wrecker truck?
@@seantracy5638 Hi Sean! First coat of paint is on and I'm waiting for paint color restock so I can finish up. Hopefully soon! Thanks for watching.
@@AndysHobbyHeadquarters Awesome!!!!!! I have learned TONS watching you, thanks!!!!
Hello Andy! I was wondering if you know of a way to apply static grass without using an electric grass applicator? I want to make a diorama with static grass, but I don’t have the budget to by an applicator.
@Michael Steinhoff Hi Michael. Making sure your paint is thin enough and try using a paint retarder to slow the drying process down. Applying a clear coat afterward may also help.
So glad the classical music is back!
Using this video as a guide whilst building my own Marder and saw I had put the transmission cover on wrong .lucky managed to rescue it ,well done Andy 👍👍🎩🎩🍸🍸.
Yeah my favorite is the Marder🤣. Like to add its nice that a guy who actually builds kits has a hobby shop because you know what we want in a store. I know this just looking behind you.😁
Thank you
See you on Friday if everything go’s well! Awesome build Andy!
Fantastic video. I really enjoyed watching you do the weathering and chipping. The greatest thing about your videos is that they are so inspiring!
this hass got to be one my most favorite of your weathering jobs. Stu
Nice build. Like the format of your videos. Good mix of talking to explain the build process when needed. I also like the classical music playing during the rest of the build.
Does anyone remember when Emeril Lagasse had a live show on the Food Network, and the audience would go wild every time he added more garlic to his recipe? That's how I feel every time Andy adds more weathering to a model. BAM!
FANTASTIC BUILD!!!! Just beautiful!!!!!
The Tamiya Jagdpanzer Marder 1/35 scale model is amazing . Great painting , the camo looks fantastic and weathering is amazing . 🙂👍🏆🥇👌
Awesome build up Andy, Great idea on the trees, This tri color version is my fav!
Nice, very nice. The weathering results looks awesome. LP paint really did look good.
So glad the STRAUSS is back! It is a much loved channel feature, and far better than generic free-use music.
Looking forward to the diorama and tree building video. Model turned out great as usual ! Keepem coming Andy.
Just picked up this kit for a great sale price at my local hobby store yesterday. Thanks for showing us all the nice work, Andy! I’ll be using this video upload to help me with the build later!
Great job Andy fantastic weathering and good to hear the classical music is back normady diarama Steve 🇬🇧
Great build , can’t wait to preorder mine on your site!
I have a soft spot for Marders so this is a must have ☺️nice work Andy👍
This was one of the first PZ jg equipped with the Pak 7.5 cm. , the hull was from a french artillery tractor, the Lorraine chenillet. In the'70s I build a Marder III from ESCI in 1/72 scale, it's my favourite Marder type.
I love all of the Marders III's looking forward to this one. Italeri has a different version that was released in the late 70's or early 80's and while not quite up the the new Tamiya standards it still builds up into a very nice model.
Definitely build another in winter white wash, be good to see heavy weathering video on winter camouflage as well and a winter diorama would be a nice touch also 👍
Like the Marder III series off of the 38T chasis, as interim builds. After building interior kits, a Marder with 4 road wheels is a relief. As well as having some interior, but not a full interior too, fits the interest of Armour builds more than say a closed up Panther does! And then the Marder addiction clicks in and you look for weirder and more unusual types in the range for stash replenishment. The FCM-36 with Pak 40 craziness as an example! The Marder I on a Panzer I chasis sits next to a Jagdtiger, and realising just how quickly this size change occurred in.
Try some figures. I know they are a whole different subset, but nicely painted figures bring the model to a new level. I enjoy your videos and your enthusiasm. Thanks.
Nice colour, beautifully painted camo and nice total colour balance.
A beauty with wonderful chipping touch.
Looks like a great kit. Thanks for sharing
Great looking build! Looking forward to this release. Maybe we’ll get lucky and Tamiya will expand this to include the 10.5 and 15cm SP howitzer versions.
Very cool kit really finished superbly, thanks for showing.
Not sure if anyone else noticed the small peg on top of the return rollers, but that was a great idea to help with installing the tracks! Smart idea Tamiya!!!
Great video Andy. The quality of your videos are second to none, they filmed so clearly. Looking at the tree that you have made at the end of the video, I would suggest an Ardennes dio would be perfect.
Outstanding Build, presentation and great build. The Marder III
What I wouldn't give for your steady hand....Great work Andy.
They also had a 150mm howitzer variant on this chassis - would be pretty easy for Tamiya to convert this kit into that variant.
That weathering is insane!
Great looking build Andy. On the wishlist. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks Keith!
That's a beautiful model!
Thank you for another great video . Sitting here in the UK just finished building the tamiya 1.35 T34 /85 . Keep up the great videos .
Thanks, will do!
That is a fine looking build.
Andy on my Market Garden Idea the Trees would be ideal (bridge to far) with the camouflage net you wouldn't need to do extra work on the marder ... from what i've read on Market Garden the Lorraine Chassis was used in that battle but in small numbers ... but they were more common with the 21st panzer division in Normandy
Another fantastic build, and the weathering is just perfect Thanks for sharing Cheers from Perú
Glad you like it!
Andy, for me the best paint job on armour you have done.well done.
Wow, thanks, I appreciate the kind words
Great build great video Andy!!!!👍👍👍
Just wanted to say that this channel got me into modelling and I love it! Thanks for the great content you make! Also I recently bought some stuff from your online store to help support!
Hi Matt! Thank you so much for watching my channel. I'm glad my videos have been helpful to you and greatly appreciate your support here and on AndysHHQ! All the best - Andy
Great work Andy -as usual. cant wait to see some more diorama builds
Many thanks! I've got one in the works - stay tuned!
Nice work and Awesome Details Andy...
Much thanks Carlos!
Really liked the marder 3, a great kit that looks impressive. Thank you for suchfast delivery of my Dragon Wagon, gonna be fun
absolutley beautiful weathering!!
Thank you
Love it. Marder 1 is my favorite even though I like the 38t chassis. I would have used the NATO black base on the interior parts of the gun. I find it makes the details pop more, especially since you wouldn’t weather that part. The crew would have kept the breach area very clean.
Great video, building same model now . Thank you
I really enjoyed build the Marder III M 'Normandy front'. It is a superb kit with the figures. I made it into a little diorama. One of the best recent Tamiya releases. I like self-propelled guns as they have all the interior detail as well. I would just say, Andy, I think it a great pity you usually don't add the figures as they are really what make the kit for me! Stay safe and keep up your great work. Michael
As a beginning modeler this channel inspires me to make more models
Great build Andy. Thanks
Thank you Richard!
Another Masterpiece to Join The Ranks Andy, just Awesome Work Sir. Thanks For Sharing n Have a Blessed Week.
Hi Gary! Thank you so much. This was a fun build. Stay safe - Andy
Yep I think a forest will look great
this is one of the nicest one you have produced lately , real nice 👌
Thank you Michael
Hi Andy. Thanks for another excellent video, and may I say that it was great to hear that you’ve brought the classical music back to your builds. I wasn’t that keen on the other style of music you had used in previous videos, although I chose not to complain about it. I find the classical music suits your video builds and it became unique to your channel, same as the intro. Haha, classic Andy. Thanks again, love what you do. Good health and best wishes to you and yours.🙂
Hi Simonize41! Thank you very much for the feedback, I welcome it. I like the classical music too, but some folks asked me to change it up so I obliged. I appreciate the kind words. All the best - Andy
Hi Andy. Hello from Scotland👋 your show is great 👍 have a great Christmas. 🎄
Nice Andy, great looking model!
Great Job Andy!
Wow, that's an impressive little kit with an equally impressive paint job. I normally don't get 1/35 kits due to a lack of dedicated shelf space, but I might have to make an exception...
Indeed, a very impressive kit. You should take the plunge! Thanks for watching!
Thought about calling your store and saying hi but realized that would be dumb so I’m saying hi in the comments. HI ANDY!!!!!!
HI SLIM SHADY!!!!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to say hello.
I get sooo excited when a new video comes out. You are my favourite RUclips ever
Hi Monty! Thank you so much ... I get excited when folks get excited about my videos!!! That's so awesome, thank you. Take care - Andy
Great job on the model as always ! 🙂
Really great video, looking forward to this one being released! 👍
Thanks! 👍
It’s good to see you back again. I think the real Marder 1 was built on a French Lorraine chassis. The Tamiya model are great for detail. A lot of the model manufacturers are trying to match Tamiya for quality. Tamiya has a great name.
It's not a vehicle that I had any interest in until watching this. The painting and weathering looks particularly well done. Nice work.
Many thanks!
Love your videos Andy!!! Can you do more ship building videos?? Also you're the Bob Ross of model building 😁
Another Masterpiece
Great Job! It looks magnificent!
Thank you very much!
Great build
Impressive build.
Excellent Marder!
Great techniques. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for watching!
Stunning results.
Thank you! 😊
The fit and ease of construcion of this kit is what ultimately had me right away. I for one will wait for the TAMIYA kit, instead of buying the PANDA version of this very same vehicle. It just goes together seamlessly. Thanks for the video. You make it easy for us to see the quality of the presented models. Greetings from Munich, Germany!
Hello and thanks for watching
Excellent work 👍
Great build! A little history behind this neat little anti-tank vehicle: it was decided in May 1942 that the popular 7.5 cm PaK 40/1 (PanzerabwehrKanone or anti-tank gun 7.5 cm 40/1) would be mounted on the French Lorraine Schlepper (tractor), 300 of which were already in the German stockpile. A total of 170 of these vehicles were converted and were put into service from July- Aug 1942.
Great info thank you.
Very,very nice kit,excellent job.
Many thanks!
Great model !!! TY
I may live in ohio, and dont have alot of model stores around locally. But ill always buy my models from AHH.
The only exception being Andy doesn't sell the Vk 45.02 P
Thank you So So much, I appreciate your support.
Is there a AHH website with a PDF Catalog or inventory somewhere? Tamiya dominates the market here in Japan and it’s not very easy to find kits from another makers, besides I’m a beginner and I’m still a bit lost around everything. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Its worse here in the Philippines
Great video!! Liked the 3-tone camo. Think adding some camouflage foliage onto vehicle would be a good idea - like you did with that Marder IIM kit, to represent the Normandy Front and/or the Falaise Gap battles. IF any kit "screams" figures, this kit sure does for appears that the crew are scanning the skies for enemies fighter-bombers. Dragon makes an excellent kit of open-topped crew members called "Achtung!! Jabo!!". Think there is 4 figures in that kit and they are in various poses of scanning the skies.
Yep - tried building this vehicle kit via other manufacturers and would always fail miserably - just like in life. Will be purchasing this kit because it is Tamiya AND it will finish my collection of German WWII Self Propelled Tank Destroyers.
Hi Andy, well once again you have out do e yourself, I think this o e of your best builds to date, keep safe and well during these crazy times, best regards to you, your family and all your customers.
Hi Les! I appreciate the kind words. This was a fun build and the new paints are pretty awesome. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. All the best - Andy
I love the look of that I’ve been wanting to get one for a while great video mate as usual 😀👍
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the build. Its funny.. I always liked the Marder III on the 38T chassis . The little Panzer Jager I is my other favorite. Its a looks thing really. You should check out Zvezda's new M4A2 Sherman. Its an amazing kit..especially for the price. They have gone to clear plastic periscopes and lenses.. now if they add wire cables.. the other manufactures need to watch out.
Great work Andy 💯👍
Thanks 👍
You make it look soooo easy!
Thank you, it is fun and that's the most important part
Fantastic videos! You've upped my game from where it was when I was building a long, long time ago. I've even gone back, found my old work, and started repainting them to some pretty good results comparatively. I find that building a model is a lot like writing-- in the sense that a writer never finishes a piece of work-- they just abandon it.
So, I have a collection now that when I get tired of it's look, I go back, check out one of your videos and mess with it a bit.
Agree: wife + (plastic) modeling= not a good outcome.
Hi Paul! Thank you so much. I am honored to know my videos have been helpful to you. You are right, there is always room for improvement and it's fun to look back at old work and make improvements. I learn new things from my viewers all the time and it's always great to have new tools to put in your proverbial toolbox!
Hi Andy! Awesome build!
Glad you like it, thanks for watching
Love all the Marders , Bronco have a Marder II D in 1/35 which is a particular favourite, Bronco are the only manufacturer so far who have produced it in plastic.
Nice Build!
Thanks!
Very interesting version of the Marder, one I don't know much about. Incidentally I love your choice of music - though (perhaps) a bit of Beethoven's 6th? Just a thought.......
very nice, thanks for sharing
great looking vehicle andy
Hi Andy, thanks for your execellent Videos. I've learnd so much from You. Stay Healthy.
Greetings from Düsseldorf.
MIKE
Very instructive...am considering a switch to Lacquers but it is a big move!
It would be cool if you did like a d day invasion with the scuba Sherman’s and have hedge hogs and mines
Great video Andy stay safe 👍👍
Thanks, you too!
I love these videos
Awesome!
My favorite Marder kits are the Dragon Marder 2 and the and any of the Tamiya Marder 3 kits
