Stunning
Definitely teaching this old dog some new tricks- thanks Andy!
Amazing job
I've struggled so long in fixing such track links, in less than 5 mins I realised how to do it whilst watching this. Cheers!
Although I’m watching this 4 years later, I just want to say this video really helped me. I’m planing on repainting my Marder III into a better camo with Tamiya acrylics. So thank you for uploading this video it’s helping a lot
Love this one! Oldie but goodie!
As always Andy, this was great build. I am 66 years old with some time on my hands now, and just getting back into modelling after many years away from the hobby, and I find your videos a great help. I find that so much has changed over the years, not only the quality of the models now available, but the many and varied accessories that can assist in making your model look just the way you like it.
This video format is also very helpful, as it can be viewed many times. I look forward to many more of your quality instructional videos. Keep up the great work.
Am just getting in to the hobby. Gary lawless. what brand should I go for?? ...
@@jdc121 I would say if you are a beginning modeler, go for the easy build kits, or snap kits. They are great, but you might still need to paint them. If you are comfortable with gluing and sanding, go for the Tamiya and Revell kits. They have lots of detail, and if you finish one nicely, it will look spectacular!

It's been a while since I have commented on your videos. I purchased that same kit in Dec 2018 and now I am going to build it. I spent some time going over the kit and now I have the time to work on it. Now I have all three Marder models. Thanks for the review and the work you have done.
The branches are a nice touch
Nice one Andy
Loving the foliage! Rare to see a German western front vehicle without it.
Wolfhead101. yep use watch ww2 movies with my dad. German tanks had firepower. So did the us Russia and the allies plus Japan.
Wow! The branches really finish it. Great looking model.
The foliage works! Great look and definitely appropriate for a vehicle hiding from the yabos.
Nice one Andy!!!
Superb Andy! Gotta be your best ever? Nothing mediocre about this one. 👍🏻
Hello Andy,,, great to see your expanding your store ! I am 71 and you got me back into modeling after a long 60 year lapse, I forgot how satisfying modeling can be. I've done a lot of armor ...thanks to you. I've seen you do 1 ship and 1 plane. Now I would like to issue a challenge to you and do a sailing Ship !! A perfect one to start with would be the Lindbergh " JOLLY ROGER" ! I do believe you would enjoy it. Think about it pal.
Looks awesome!
Yet again
A great kit from tamiya andy you certainly nailed this one and the weathering was brilliant fantastic Steve 🇬🇧
That tree branch looks super realistic! Best I've seen, for sure.
Greatbuild Love he added leaves
As always Andy, great build and video, and none of the nerve jangling music some people feel the need to include, thanks for sharing.
Some of your finest work yet! I’m only 15 and I have a lot to learn but you’re a big inspiration, keep it up my guy
I love your videos your probably they only one that does a perfect video of modeling of tanks and air planes keep up the great work
Treena Rhodeback you should check out PLASMOs channel as well. Him and Andy are the best model channel on RUclips. Plasmos videos are utterly incredible, his modeling skills are out of this world. Both channels are very different in approach but both are amazing.
Check out plasmo
Love the addition of the branches. Brings the kit to another level.
Love your videos, Andy... watching them takes me back to being a kid in the early 80s, Squad Leader boardgames, building a model in my attic bedroom late at night, and my mom and dad are still alive :) thanks for the therapy sessions
Andy, I have been modeling for over 60 years. I have always enjoyed it, watching you is like they say (going to college). Your videos are so informative & uplifting, thank you for a great series of learning. Great work!
This has to be Andy's best build to date. Painting, weathering all awesome! 👍
Watching this Marder build and the way everything went to plan was great I built this kit so I stopped and started, following and it was so easy.
Ausgezeichnet! Zehr gut, and all that kraut talk, the branches are the final garnish on a excellent job! PS:Traverse & Elevate main gun are the 'correct' terms. LOL
Thanks for this one Andy ! 👍 🇬🇧
Es una pena no ver el trabajo terminado con las figuras. De todas maneras es excelente la lección. Muchas gracias por dedicar su tiempo. el resultado es magnífico. Un abrazo desde España
The notification came up for this as I’m building my own tamiya Matilda kit :) yes I watched Andy’s video on it lol
This is one of my favourite builds by Andy! I think this model is exceptional!
Very nice and subtle with the weathering which is good. Many overdo the weathering which, especially for German vehicles in late war, is a bit OTT as they didn’t last long in general. German tanks, from what I’ve read, were mostly reasonable new, if not brand new by the time they were knocked out. At worst most tanks would be a little dusty I would imagine. Watching some colour WW2 footage seems to support this. Well done and please keep broadcasting.
TY for this ! The foliageis a nice addition !
Great! Now I have to go out and gather leaves. That foliage looks sweet!
Great video!
FYI, because of your outstanding videos I have become a regular customer to web store for not only models but but hobby supplies. Thank you Mr. Andy for keeping the hoby alive. I live in California and I hope to soon make a road trip in cooler times to visit your expanded new store.
I love Tamiya kits the perfect balance in parts count an details. I just am working on a Dragon Paton and had to stop for a week to ket my finger tips heal up from blade cuts from the hundreds of tiny parts.
You inspired me. I am now looking forward to building model kits!
Love the Marder III TD's. They are so cool. Marder III H is my favorite version. :)
A+ on the added branches Andy. Kit turned out as a great build
Another cracking build.Nicely done Andy.
Nice job Andy, looks great, love the branches!...Bill
When attaching the wheels without gluing, I use tissue paper to act as sleeve to firmly secure the wheel to the chassis so they can be painted individually or used for the link-n-link tracks
Currently building an german armour display case from an old wooden ammo box, this will be on the list to go in it for sure
You did a great job on that model
BTW: Gorgeous finish - the leaves are a spectacular finishing touch for an already spectacularly well finished kit. Just realized I have the Tamiya kit in my stash😁
Expert, thank you for your time and your videos.
Super nice model again, with the leaves and branches ist looks just awesome!
Great build as usual Andy love your videos I learn a lot from watching them.
Another great build Andy such a wealth of information and cool ideas
very nice, easily one of your best. The only thing i might recommend is a oil dot filer, just to add a little fading and color variation to the big flat surfaces
Andy and Luka videos waiting for you, when you get home from the nightshift, this is gonna be a good weekend!
Looking great buddy! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻😍
?
Hi, Andy ! Great model ! Good luck in further construction.
Beautiful Work Andy and the Branches add Even More Details, thank you for Sharing Your Fun With Us, God Bless All
The Normandy look is good.
I’m just finishing a Wespe referencing your Wespe build and will add some of these Marder AK techniques to blend in with the planned diorama.
Great video really liked the track assembly and wheel weathering section.
Excellent video, thanks 👍 I like how you broke down the weathering on the road wheels. Looks great!
Love the Marder's....will get this as soon as it's available in the UK, Panda Hobby have a great Marder I kit which seems to have been missed by most Model stores.
Thank you Andy for the video of your brilliant Marder. Love your channel as it really helps me. I am one of your many "mediocre modellers" fans!!!
One of my favourite builds so far Andy. The addition of foliage is a great touch. Looking forward to the dioramas too.
Thank you. 👍🏻😎 D.
Hey Andy, great vid! Would you mind maybe making a vid about painting figures? I still tend to struggle with that.
Keep it up!
Have a look at Adam Savage's channel (Tested) where they do several figurines paint jobs. He used to work for ILM so he knows what he's doing.
BEAutiful building Andy!
I really like your channel Andy. Honestly, I have to say, that this is one of the nicest builds in the past few months I have seen from you. And a really nice touch with the branches there, by the way. Looking forward for another build of yours
Nice work!
Great work, Andy, I really enjoy watching you build and paint all those models. I'd only add a metal barrel instead of plastic one, but that's unnecessary. Thanks
the best andy!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, the branches makes it all come together👍🏼
neat stuff like it and post em, will see more
Another absolute stunning build. Great work!
Love the branches
that looks incredible.
That was great how you showed the wheel weathering step by step.
On this model kit - the Branches look great - I would like to see some burlap over the barrel real thin with strings - this will break up the shape a little more - I have seen this on the Panther and Tiger models
Andy, you do a great job presentation :-)
cant wait to get one of these, and them branches are nice
Awesome model really like the camo you did on it 👌
Nice job!!
Wow, Andy! Excellent as always. I like the format you used in this video. Thanks for your time and efforts!
Great video Andy!!
Wow you are a great master
Hi Andy love the vids keep up the great work👍
LOL. That Collector's Society t shirt is dead on!
Love the branches! Maybe a foliage tutorial in the future? Nice looking kit. Kinda surprised you didn't do any modulation on all those nice flat panels. Looks good tho for sure. Thanks for all your helpful videos.
One of your best. Thanks.
Great video Andy, building this at the moment and although the manual states the top should be temporarily fixed for the life of me I cannot see why. Anyway will put together as you did, nice work with the leaves also. 👍👍👍👍👍
Oh great. Now i need a Marder too.
very nice, thanks for sharing.
Hi Andy realy like your work... could you make a video how you weather exhaust?
Nice! Liken the camo.
Another nice camo job and love the brass shells. Tamiya needs to move away from the 50/50 barrel now!
Andy, the branches look great! They finish off a really nice model perfectly. (But you really need to do the figures :) )
Good subject. It would look nice on your bridge diorama base. I share your thrill as you do the kit. I guess you edit parts clean up. I have to say, I like the plastic color. Fun fun fun. Nice presentation. I would not enjoy doing this posting stuff as I really prefer to watch or listen to t.v. as I hobby. Much like Richard Dreyfus in Close Encounters with the t.v. going as he made the mountain in his living room. That would be a video killer. How can you do no painting? Even airbrushing later would be hard assembled. Good times. Thanks.
Oh nice...! 👍👍
Hey Andy from South Carolina! Neat video...would like to know more about the leaf punch!
Terrific work Andy, thanks for sharing.
One of your very best. 👏
Have you a link to how you make those trees?
Paratroopers would have walked straight into it!
Great Build.
Another superb build Andy. I was surprised that the muffler screen was stainless steel, brass would have been easier to bend, can you show the annealing process in future builds?
In the autumn, will all the leaves fall off ?
My guess is that Andy is planning to build a kit of a "PzKpfW Leafblower" before the fall. Also, I bet he'll remove the shovel that's on the Marder & replace it with a carefully painted 1/35 rake. 😉😆
@@derekbaker3279 Sounds about right.
You have an amazing skills!
