They heavily imply that she's going to, though? lol weren't you listening? She's leading her divided tribe back together and afterwards doesn't know what to do because she doesn't belong. The "I'm not ready for this" is my Canon. We see Aloy open up about her past and how she feels, and see how she's still learning how to let herself feel. It makes sense and still progresses her character, without feeling forced, plus it leaves the 3rd game open to maybe finding herself falling for someone, despite the odds against her.
It felt the most natural for me as well. She just began accepting help from others, embracing her friends, and feeling the pain of losing people dear to her that wasn't Rost. To jump into romance so quickly didn't click to me, but I interpret that as Guerilla saying that in the next game we will be presented with romantic choices for Aloy. I love Seyka though, and I hope she'll be in the next game. She fits Aloy to a T and is a stronger contender to be her partner
Yeah plus. I didn’t really like the fact that Aloy would instantly fall in love with a woman she literally met a few days ago. When she’s been with Erend, Talanah, Petra, Avad, even Kotallo for wayy longer.
I’m just glad they didn’t force this relationship. I can’t wait to pick my choice for Aloy.
I chose that option too, but I chose it because in the prologue of the game, in the conversation with Avad, I chose the option that Aloy says that she'd accept his date invitation after her mission is over
This demonstrates why the W@KE agenda sucks.
homophobe
I actually prefer the "This is too much for me" option, it's a way to let Seyka down gently while still highlighting Aloy's "gotta save the world" mentality. The "I'm not ready for this" option comes across as a lot harsher, more like the actual rejection option.
The world is probably ending and I wanted her to finally find her person and she did. Lol I like that there is different options to make everyone's choice different
The heart option is cannon and no one can tell me otherwise and thats probably what Guerrilla intended. One of the main points of the DLC was character development for Aloy. If you choose any of the other options then what character development has Aloy made in the past two games? To keep rejecting everyone and never learn to let someone in? One of the focuses in the second game was Aloy learning to let people help her. And the DLC was Aloy learning to let herself experience feelings she’s never let herself feel. I feel like its all supposed to be a stark contrast to Elisabet. Elisabet never let herself get too close to anyone. Like Tilda for example. Elisabet also sacrificed herself for the hope of a new world. Aloy is trying to preserve the one they already have and she’s learning to accept help along the way. Guerrilla showed us the similarities Aloy and Elisabet share in the first game. The second game and especially the DLC is to highlight their differences. To show that, yes, Aloy is a direct clone of Elisabet and they share some of the same qualities, but Elisabet never let anyone in and died alone sacrificing herself for the world. Aloy is learning to accept help and letting herself feel things she would otherwise suppress. It would be a pretty boring story if Aloy did the same exact thing as Elisabet, don’t you think?
theyre both basically "maybe but not right now. maybe in the future" and therefore every option is garbage.
@@gracemesch16 its not cannon to me,reeks of ESG money to get a boost in sales, make a char gay 2 games and 2 DLCs into a franchise? lmao bruh

@@random_an0n Did you even read my comment? Can you explain how Guerrilla is doing this for money? If anything this is a huge risk Guerrilla took in making Aloy’s character queer. I doubt they did it for sales. And you’re proving that too by saying you’re no longer playing the game. You’re probably not the only one to stop playing either, I’m sure there are a lot of homophobes out there that will stop playing as well. I see it all over twitter.
"I'm not ready for this" is the realistic choice. Aloy has Nemesis in mind and busy finding a weakness. She can't settle down yet. But at least the devs showed that they can put romance systems for the 3rd game. Interesting. I'm straight btw but Seyka was a good character.
She wouldn’t be settling down. The heart option was they kiss and she leaves anyway. One of the main points of the DLC was character development for Aloy. The second game she lets people help her, in the DLC she lets someone get close in a way shes never let herself feel. Maybe to set something up for the third game? 🤷♀️ Who knows. Personally, I didn’t want any romances. I wanted Aloy to live her life with Beta. Aloy teaching her how to hunt and Beta teaching her stuff from Apollo or something. But I see why they did it and I trust Guerrilla so I’m not too worried about it.
Yeah cramming this romance plot feels poorly handled. Two huge games of Aloy being completely mission-minded and turning down every single advance from people she has fought beside to save the world *twice* and now we’re supposed to believe this brand-new character is the only one we have the option to choose after they survive *one* DLC-sized mission together? Really hope they open up other options in the next main installment.
It’s like playing Mass Effect 3 and being stuck with only Vega and Traynor as your only options.
Yeah I was like "bish we just met 2 days ago! slow down! can we get coffee first?!" 🤣
She's good but it feels so forced because she just appeared in an EXPANSION of the SECOND GAME and now she's a romantic interest? Bullcrap, she showed chemistry and has more history with other characters since the first game like Erend or Varl (RIP T_T), narratively speaking, it doesn't make sense this "romantic" interest
@@gracemesch16 Good points! FW shows Aloy accepting others, embracing people again after spending so many years isolated and closed off from others after losing Rost. Losing Varl makes me think that she realised she actually values them a lot and wants them close, not far, so they defeated the Zenith together at the end. This DLC shows her now willing to open up to others and be romantically involved with someone. Seyka fits her characters a lot. She's daring, strong-minded, adventurous. However, like you, I'd rather have Aloy stay single. For once, a character in a videogame isn't tied to love. And a female character, on top of that. Aloy feels the most forward and modern character so far in games, and I hope Guerilla will give us the option to keep her single in the 3rd game. If not, well... I hope Kotallo is a choice, too lol I'll have to compare him to Seyka. Seyka needs more time with Aloy and the rest of the group.
I feel like all choices are valid to Aloy's feelings and experiences. I went with the 'Yes' choice however, because the whole game has been about her opening up to people and finding a true, personal reason to fight on, instead of trying to exemplify her genetic mother. Saying yes felt like a culmination of that journey and a narratively fitting end to the Forbidden West.
Amen to that 🙏
I definitely feel like the second game was Aloy tearing herself down trying to stand in the shoes of what is technically her former self. Through her journey I definitely think she's learned that she's Elisabet, but she's also Aloy. I hope in the next game she learns to forgive the Nora just as she learned to love and trust in her friends.
@@ColonelPickleswitch yep you are. Aloy had feelings for Seyka, regardless of your choice.
I feel the “This is too much for me” choice is the truest to Aloy’s character and development thus far; turning down all kinds of advances from attractive individuals for the sake of her mission, I chose “Yes”, just because I can’t help but want Aloy to be happy even just for a moment cuz goddamn has her life been rough.
That doesn’t sound like Aloy. That sounds personal
Kiss her, don't kiss her, if you don't like her for Aloy then walk away. But ultimately it's what you, the gamer wants, they gave you an option, another woman vying for Aloys heart like all the love interests who wanted her since the first game. Turn her down like everybody else if you like her as the lone wolf. Me personally, it was refreshing to see Aloy see herself and her struggles in someone else, to care so deeply that she might have hurt their feelings, to confide in them that she doesn't really know how to celebrate a win and not be pushed on it unlike every other one of her friends who gave her a hard time about it. Seyka was passionate but patient, encouraged Aloy, and fought by her side in a way we haven't really seen till now. I know we like to think our protagonist can do it all alone, but if not for Seyka, Londra probably would have won. I know we were all shipping her with other people, and that could be a real possibility in a third instalment. But, honestly to me, Seyka impacted Aloy in a huge way and to deny that much and diminish their connection (when in reality, you spent about as much time talking with her during the DLC as you did with everyone else during the main game) would be a huge injustice to both of them. Aloy can save the world and kiss a pretty girl at the same time 😂
you exchange a small bit of banter on 3 missions and thats it really,it was cringe and outta nowhere and reeked of ESG money and probs was a sony deal to get a ps5 bundle deal in exchange for making aloy a lez in exchange for a big boost in sales cause you had to buy a bundle cause single ps5s was hard to find.
I completely agree. As the player, seeing Aloy so emotionally disconnected from people around her, even ones she deeply cares for, always breaks my heart. She tries so hard to focus purely on the task at hand, that I just wanted her to experience joy. To experience being wanted, fully understood and accepted. The feelings are there no matter the choice so why does the kiss matter? In the end they still go their separate ways to do what's right in the grand scheme of things. I chose the love option because I just wanted Aloy to feel the joys of life for once, regardless of whether or not it feels rushed.
Hahaha, it's just more LGBTQ bullshit propaganda. Of course they had to make Aloy a lesbian.
It's why Kratos is forever the greatest of Playstation main characters.

I chose the "Reject" option, aka "Nice try woke Devs for trying to force this lesbian relationship into the plot. I Alloy, was raised and taught by a strong father-like figure, Rost. I don't have a mental disorder, I'm into dudes as all girls are meant to do. I'm trying to save the world and repopulate it. Can't do that by being a lesbo".
Exactly!
Not a fan of how this was handled. Fans have spent two full games with half the cast of supporting characters being viable options for Aloy with no option to pursue any of them only to be stripped of any real choice for a character shoehorned into a DLC. Aloy has saved the world twice over with Erend, Varl (RIP), Avad and several others and still turns ALL of them down for the sake of her mission. We’re supposed to believe she has one much smaller adventure with this brand-new character and she just goes head-over-heels?? Come on!!! I love the Horizon games but this is a major L for the writers.
i can see how horizon got that ps5 bundle deal, probs ESG money involved also
wokify aloy, get a easy sale on every ps5
What does how long she's spent with any of those characters have to do with anything? That's not how love/attraction works. People just click instantly all the time. Just because Aloy spent a lot of time with those other characters doesn't mean she's going to be automatically attracted to them.

@@Highlander77 from a gaming perspective, it’s frustratingly inconsistent and not something that should have been squeezed into a DLC. Having a romance option after two HUGE games of “hey I like you!” “Sorry but my mission comes first” is already a big change but it still feels a bit ridiculous to add an *entirely* new character expressly to serve that end. It would be like if Mass Effect had no romance options until 3 and then the only option they cram in is Vega or Traynor.
All this talk about playing your way and choosing your dialog options and then when we finally get a real choice that might actually make a difference in the narrative (the sparing/killing Regala choice was a COMPLETE joke), the devs say “aight it’s this totally new person or nobody.”
Basically the same shit UbiSoft made with Kassandra and that idiotic average guy from DLC... At least Guerilla gave us the option to refuse this...
I personally think the most "Aloy" decision is "this is too much for me". However, that may be personal projection on my end. When the world is hanging on by a thread, with Nemesis on the horizon (no pun intended) I just don't think Aloy would personally take the time to consider love. I believe that she FEELS love, though. "this is too much", to me, means "I do, and I want it, but I need to make sure there's even a world left for it". They say "better to have loved and lost" but I disagree. I think once Aloy's adventure is over is when she'd realistically consider it. Better than agreeing to it and then watching each other die.
thats the nice thing, all are valid. For me i chose love since, if you think about, while Aloy did try to stay focused, it ultimately wore down on her more to stay closed off than open up to people which she learns throughout Forbidden West, particularly after Varl died before he could see the end of this long road. The world is hanging in the balance, but Aloy can also try to enjoy her feelings while she has them, as she or those she cares about might not live long enough to appreciate it.
I really don't get why somebody can love and fight for a cause at the same time. Do you think people don't fall in love while changing jobs, or moving cities?
I know the end of the world is a bit of a bigger deal, but still.
As cool as it for Aloy find love, is there any chance that if we reject Seyka, can we romance somebody from the main game? Like as interesting as it is, I wanted her to be with somebody else for a very long time, and I really would like to see that happen.

I expect Seyka to be in the 3rd game
@@iSkiZm24 i hope not
I think yes, there were clear hints with Erend, Avad etc.
Think 3rd game is gonna have multiple optional romances, to each of it's liking
First off I'm queer so don't think this comment is anti queer cuz it's not..... The biggest issue with them making Aloy queer is that they have set a precedent that they believe queer is a genetic trait that is detectable and cloneable when this is simply not the case... I'm happy there is an option to say no, but the fact that we haven't even had this choice yet with Erend or even Talanah is a huge cop out! Especially when both character had potential love interest story lines set up (talanahs being subtly hinted in comics but they threw away that idea with FW)
They're probably testing the waters with this DLC to see how people respond to Aloy having a love interest and that love interest being a woman. I agree there are more fleshed out characters that could be with Aloy but let's wait and see for the third game.
I also don't think they're trying to say that Sexuality is genetic, or at least not entirely. But it is also important to remember that Aloy isn't really the child of Elisabet, she's a literal AI-generated clone of her, so if her sexual preferences were transferred it would make sense without necessary saying that it's genetic, but I could be wrong depending on where they take it in horizon 3.
You’re gay
How do you live with yourself
But it kinda is... There's a lot of research in that, for example in twins that there's a high possibility of them having the same orientation. Regardless of their upbringing.
@@acmartialarts2227 by sleeping with your father ❤️ set me a spot at the dinner table, step-child.
I hope they continue with this approach towards romance for Aloy, of leaving it up to the player to decide whether Aloy is Heterosexual, Lesbian or has no interest in romance. That way all players can be satisfied.
Absolutely!
That would be at least the most tactically smartest option for Guerilla to please everyone.
I think it's extremely sad that such a big rift has arisen in the horizon community because of this. Give the players the choice of how Aloy's path should end in Horizon 3
I hope Guerilla listens to their fanbase ❤
You weren’t paying attention. No matter your choice, Aloy likes Seyka. So she can never be straight. You don’t get a choice in that.
@@Cuty_peach212 no, they shouldn’t listen to everyone whining about losing their ship, they should write the story they are writing and not have poor romance options because people cried too much over Aloy getting an actual story love interest.
the whole dlc has hinted at aloy and seyka having feelings for each other. the love option is the only one in my mind. justice for petra though. I bet if she spent more time with aloy, it would’ve been a similar scenario as with seyka, although admittedly seyka’s soft approach let aloy bring down her walls at her own pace
So she met Aloy and fell in love in less than a week 🤦🏼♂️
If Aloy rejects Seyka, can she go back and romance say Erend or Talanah or Petra or ❤Kotallo❤. @@ConverseEvolution I totally agree. If they allow us to choose who she can romance instead of just forcing us to choose one I feel like could satisfy everybody. @@novaKnightimagination4215 100% sure that's what's gonna happen. They specifically end things ambiguously with Seyka even if you chose to go with it, so in the next game you'd have a choice.
Also more companion interactions would be my desire, like everyone having a Birthday party at the base or going to ride that balloon with your friend/romance in hidden ember (whatever analog there is gonna be in the next installment)
After this expansion I'm certain we are going into that direction
Man I was dreading this decision the entire time when I was playing the DLC. I have no problems with the romance being with another woman (I’m a bi woman myself), it just felt like another rushed Korra and Asami situation. I think that Seyka is pretty cool, albeit a little flat character wise. There wasn’t really any chemistry between these two imo 🤷🏻♀️. The relationship between Aloy and Erend during the quest where we had to find Erend’s sister felt WAY more organic. It’s nice that they give us the option to say “no” to her though.
Seyka and Aloy are too much alike. As someone on another site said, Aloy falls in love with herself. I prefer story romances where the couple are very different from each other. This makes for a more interesting dynamic. Hopefully Aloy’s future relationships are better written.
Personally, due to the environment she's grown up in, I would of assumed she was asexual ESPECIALLY after the first game.

@@roonkolosI think it was such a perfectly logical conclusion if nothing else. Forbidden West was about Aloy finally making long-lasting meaningful connections and opening herself up to people. Burning Shores is the culmination of that progress. If you want a trilogy game where the lead female protagonist goes through the same emotional journey and doesn't end up with anyone, play FFXIII.

Nil is way too weird for a relationship with Aloy. He went from former Carja soldier to prisoner to psychotic dude who hunted bandits to Fast and Furious. Avad clearly needs therapy. He had Ersa taken from him, and he's understandably upset and grieving. He projects his "what could have been" onto Aloy, and that just wouldn't be healthy.

Fans may have wanted them together, but Aloy was never romantically interested in Avad. Erend she loves, but I always thought platonically, and I like how he accepts her friendship love as all he's likely to ever get, and doesn't push the issue, even while he wishes for more. That is life sometimes.
And if you've never met someone with whom you've had an immediate "click" and attraction with, then I suppose this won't make sense to you. But it happens all the time around this vast wide world. Instant connection, shared passion - it's far more powerful than someone having an unrequited crush on you for years.
It’s clear the relationship - or atl least Aloy being gay - will be canon going forward regardless of choice made here. In all three options she admits her feelings, she just doesn’t act on them in two of the options.
To be clear I have ZERO issues with Aloy being a lesbian, but this relationship feels way too hurried with a character she barely knows and their only emotional connection is that they’re basically one and the same - similar background, same skills, same struggles with family and tribe, etc.
I can think of at least two characters that would make for a more interesting lesbian romance for Aloy than Seyka (Petra and Talanah).
Aloy and talanah have gone through so much more it makes much more sense

well it's her first love after all those aren\t always rational or right. but also Aloy can be BI not lesbian!)
I think all options are valid. Saying this imo choosing the "love" ending doesn't fit Aloy personality. Since the beginning of the first game she's been fighting to save the world and always put her relationships with people 2nd place, despite making some friends. I chose "reject I'm not ready for this" because I really think that is what Aloy thinks, with the future Nemesis problem and all, she still needs to figure out how to deal with that huge problem. I'll give a quick example, in Tlou Ellie being gay is a huge part of her, it defines her and being that way makes the game way better. In HZD and HFW I don't feel that Aloy being in a relationship adds to the story, it doesn't enrich the story so to speak. With this being said, I don't see why not after the eventual 3rd game she couldn't start a relationship with a woman after all the problems are dealt with. But that's my opinion, and I do genuinely think that all opinions are valid. (Sorry if I made some typos as English is not my first language)
I feel like this is the point. It feels a bit fast, but I feel like it's the most fitting even tho I don't understand why it had to be with Seyka, she's only known her for a very brief amount of time. I have felt the way Aloy feels, feeling like attraction is a burden and is only making things harder in life, and letting go of that mentality is very freeing, unexplainable.
Make America Great Again ❤ Make Entertainment Great Again 😎
I disagree. Ellie being gay isn't that big a part of her, and the love ending here isn't even a big deal. Aloy leaves her anyway. She still puts Seyka in second place.
Being gay/not straight doesn't have to be anymore character defining than being straight does. Aloy after all wouldn't put any special significance upon it because her world has so far been depicted as not homophobic. Ellie to some extent still lives in a world with our modern prejudice, so it's more influential in the way she approaches life.
The important part here, is not her sexuality, but her opening up to somebody even in a romantic way. To some extent all the options allow for Aloy to acknowledge her growth in this area, one is merely more growth than the others. HFW was ultimately, and patently about Aloy opening herself up to relationships-a rejection of Elisabet who closed herself off to true relationships with anybody. At the start of the game she runs away from her friends and rejects their attempts to help her. By the end, she let's them help her on missions and accepts Beta as family.
@@highrepublic2056 I do agree with you. I'm not saying a gay character is a better or a more profound character than a straight one. I only think it's a bit rushed this love option. As far as we know Aloy never had a intimate relationship with anyone. Like you wrote, it took the entire game for Aloy to let her friends and Beta help her on her mission. I do think though that the sexual orientation of a person can define said person, for better or worse.
Your transitions feel like IGN. Very smooth.
The question is will this choice carry into the next game or is it just for this ending.
I hope it does.
The love choice anyway.
If it does then it's gonna make Erend probably leave the group cuz at the end of the day he's ONLY THERE for Aloy because he clearly likes her.. hell she was in his arms at the end of the base game... But then again who knows since they gave us a choice to murder Nil but it didn't matter in the end anyway...
@@DrRippenShitten they're still friends though, i highly doubt erend would just abandon aloy if she rejected him or got into a relationship, that would just show that he's a bad friend. I think it would actually be interesting if Aloy got into a relationship in Horizon 3, so Erend's character kind of had to expand a bit more. I don't want a love triangle but more for Erend to become his own standalone character
@@seraphitella2466 I mean he almost did this game tho... Varl had to convince him to come back after Aloy literally left Erend in the dirt early on
I think people who hope a love interest with a super masculine argumentative woman take the gay test.. 😂
to me this means that if seyka is going to be in a future game (probably the next since I don't expect a fourth game) that their interactions will be awkward but also straight forward. well at least at first. It would be super wierd if seyka and aloy would suddenly kiss in their first few interaction if she got rejected.
Aloy and Seyka have not known each other that long, this was pushed waaay too quickly and their relationship is more like best buds. Also I really wanted Aloy to go back to Sun King Avad lol, or be with Kotallo, as he reminds me of Rost in a way.
its not even best buds, the DLC was like 15 hours and in game time only a few days had past, and they went on like 3 missions so it was like only 3 in game days and most of that was fighting
totally inorganic, alot went from indifferent to biting her lip and being touchy feely by the end of the 2nd mission, what was it? hearing the girl talk about her sister joined a cult that turned her on lmao? it was so cringe and outof touch,it was like a lez romance written by a virgin male, who doesnt understand how love works....it was like the devs took ESG money from soros and picked up the 2 models and went "now kiss!" like dolls lol
they just want to force that idea into children minds they probably made this DLC just for this reason
I had Aloy shipped with Avad too. Wish we had a choice in shipping and handling besides gay or awkward.
Me personally, I never felt like love fits in with Aloy’s Journey at this point, she’s constantly at odds with a new looming threat all the time and I feel like she shouldn’t be in a relationship with anyone at least until NEMESIS is defeated. After that, then I think it would be more appropriate and earned.
Yeah seriously, at the beginning of Forbidden west, there's options for Aloy's feelings for that king and we had choices but apparently that's dropped for gay Aloy
In fairness, her dialogue addresses this also.

Can Aloy have a this option for a male character? Let's give everyone a choice on how her character develops!
Yeah I like the cyberpunk and mass effect way of doing it. You can basically pick your character's orientation and try out different paths. I think that's smart because it lets the player bring what they want to the character. Even as a straight person myself, I'll choose the character I like the most, not the orientation I want my character to be. That freedom is great.
That being said, I like seyka and as much as I was team-no-romance, I thought this was a great diversion for aloy and I'm excited to see how it plays out in the 3rd game
Nope, that’s not how this game works. There have never been story options and you don’t dictate her character, so why would you now?
@Moon Moon have you played the new expansion where she has a choice to be with one of the female characters?? This is what this video is about! If they Aloy is given a choice to choose a female love interest, it would have been fair for all players to have a choice for a male love interest or to choose none as well.
No as that would go against the woke gay agenda. Aloy has to be gay she can't be straight.
@@borg111 Aloy is not a faceless, voiceless create-a-character. She has a personality and wants outside of the player, as it's a narrative driven game. She's queer, get over it.
The option "This is too much for me" is the best for her, she's doing the correct thing.
I didn't really felt the chemistry between these two, although I already knew aloy might be lesbian, I thought aloy was more asexual and always puts her obligations before her personal desires, considering how much is in her shoulders
I wish I could have her choose Avad
This doesn't bother me in the slightest. That said when your game appeals to a broad audience, this is unwise. Aloi's story didn't really need romance and this feels kind of forced. If you are going to give the player agency and choice, you may as well have 2 romance genders like in Mass Effect. Then everyone is happy.
They didn’t give the player agency. JG and BS have stated that the flashpoints are not meant for player narrative choice.
Thank God that this is optional and you get to choose.
Im grateful they left the choices for the straight
is too much to ask for my character to be straight?
Now I know who's gonna die next in Horizon 3. It's unfortunate
It's probably gonna be Sylens... For obvious reasons ... Rip Lance
It will be Erend….
Can’t have a straight white male protagnoist, that’s not allowed. Gotta make room for the out of nowhere lesbian couple.
I hope that this woman and Aloy have no love story she don't need one, especially with a woman.
@@joebejjani3579 why not Talanah?
The only one's wondering about her sexuality are those whose identity is based entirely upon their own sexual preferences. The average player, i.e. the core customer base - doesn't even enter our minds as we expect men to like women and women to like men, because it's normative.
I choose this is too much for me 🤷🏻♂️
The DLC was good that horus fight was crazy. But I chose the love option but the I'm not ready for this option is and does make more sense. Because she's been fighting her whole life and trying to stop the threat. And now she's making friends and more this is the first time For everything, I wish I could go back. But it does make sense more sense to pick the I'm not ready for this option.
I wish they give us choices kiss Erend, Avad or Kotallo though
didnt aloy hint at giving Avad a chance when she was ready to settle back in HZD? it was a choice in the compassion dialogue. Personally I don't see why we need romance/sex interests in a scifi game.
I think the first and think about it choice are the best for it. She deserve someone to love and at the same time to reflect. We must respect abd thank guerilla for giving us this choice
I remember the good old Lara croft games, she was sexy and she knew it, she was strong, skilled, a killer, smart, rich and she loved her mandem
When female video game characters were allowed to be sexy and empowering without being forced into a relationship to validate their worth.
I think all options are valid and each one fits with the story and Aloys character. To say one is better than the other diminishes the different and unique ways that people play and perceive the game, as well as the depth of Aloy as a character. It’s clear that Seyka is important to Aloy but I like that whether their relationship is platonic or romantic is up to the player. I personally chose the love option because I felt it best fit the how I want to play the game and what I wanted for Aloy.
It’s not. Writers confirmed that it doesn’t matter what choice you make. Aloy likes her. Aloy has feelings for her.
moonmoon2479 i dont think so
This honestly just felt way too quick , we literally just met this girl and they automatically try and thrust a relationship on us while Erend has been with us since the beginning.

Thank god we have a choice to reject.
Why is there no reject as in a straight up no, not these bum ahh options?
Cause some people don't want her to be lesbian
Because this is how people with emotional intelligence try to act in real life - even if it's a hard no, we don't *want* to shut someone down hard and brutally, as we know the pain it'll cause them. So nice people try and do it gently. Even if that means having to put up with a lingering crush you don't really want to have to deal with.
because aloy canonically likes seyka.
@@moath6108 thats what im asking. none of these can straight up deny this garbage, theyre all basically "maybe but not rn"

I hate how every strong female character has to be lesbian these days. It sucks so bad.
I loved Seyka, she's adorable, but I softly rejected her. I'm holding out hope I'll be able to romance Kotallo next game. But if there are zero (no pun intended) romance options and this was the only one, then I am fine with this. BUT if there are, I really like Kotallo. He's respectful and has really cute chemistry with Aloy. But who knows. I just want Aloy to be happy 💕
Reject is the logical choice. don't let them canonize the Love option. I just finished the game on PC and glad I went with the reject option, I smelled woke shit from a mile away and I'm glad I did that.
The fuck do you mean? Rejecting her is even more woke considering she'd be aroace then lol. Your backwards ass thinking is brazy
I was kinda hoping Aloy would turn out to be asexual, but this was nicely handled all the same. Love these games. They’re far from perfect but they’re a lot of fun, and gorgeous.
Asexual does not mean you don't pursue relationships.
Asexual and aromantic are different things. There are very sexual people who are not romantic and visa versa.
Either way, I thought they did a terrible job of forcing them to like each other. I felt she had much better chemistry with literally everyone in the vanilla game. The nerdy quen would of actually been a much better romantic choice as it felt more fleshed out even if in the end Skyla spent slightly more time with aliy. Just felt really forced to me. I could be wrong.
Just to clarify, I know very well about the difference between asexual and aromantic, since I’m on the asexual spectrum myself. It just seems unlikely they’d portray a relationship with this shy approach at chemistry with a character that’s asexual, considering the lack of asexual representation and most media

It’s very rushed, and I don’t think we will be able to choose another relationship from the main game.
They’ve stated Aloy is gay, and in each wheel option it’s obvious Aloy has very strong feelings over Seyka so..it’s going to be difficult to steer around that.
I’m sad though, because I was Aloy/Avad all the way. They could have grown and learnt so much from each other.

Aloy isn’t really into men romantically, nor was Elizabet. Avad was kind of a boring character. I really liked seeing Aloy grow in her personal relationships in this game.
@@markhubenthal what was Aloy supposed to do with Avad in the future? Live in a big castle constantly protect him?
She would be bored out of her mind there. She needs someone fun and adventurous and Avad was never it.
I found when Seyka and Aloy saw a machine sometimes Seyka would start fighting them before I was even ready. None of the other NPC’s would do that they would always wait for Aloy.
@@Michelle-ep3mi yeah, I never said I liked Avad or that Aloy should be romantically involved with him. I said he was boring. Perhaps you replied to the wrong post. I like the Aloy Seyka relationship. Even before the final scene with her, if you sat down at Varl’s grave she admits she really likes Seyka. And many hints of her feelings were sprinkled throughout the game that imply her feelings. So I figured it’s best to choose the option that it seems the writers intended, which is Aloy kissing Seyka.

Agendas, agendas, agendas... everywhere kid's turn their heads!
I'm sick of it!
Thank you for sharing all three options, so I don’t have to choose them myself. For me the love option is the only satisfying conclusion to their story. Either of the other options hurt my heart to witness. The ‘I’m not ready for this’ option at least let’s Seyka down a little gently and suggests Aloy can’t allow love in with so much still to fight. The‘this is too much for me’ option, feels like H:ZD Aloy as if she’s not grown as a character, when we know from how she allowed friends in at The Base, she has. The upside for me is at least none of the options flat out deny romantic interest in Seyka, which is obviously not true from everything that has gone before.
As far as I can see, aside from the obvious of dealing with the Londra threat, Burning Shores is set up from the moment Aloy gets shot down and crash lands at Seyka’s feet, as a love story. Seyka is set up as an equal to Aloy whom she can respect and come to be fond of. There are numerous moments where Aloy gives the sort of big cheesy smile you can’t help yourself giving when in Seyka’s company, especially when she does something that impresses Seyka. Denying them the payoff of sharing a simple kiss and parting ways fondly, with hope for an unknown future together, just don’t feel right to me.
To me they made the crush feel natural. I do think something interesting to note is that we expect in media for a character to have some sort of long development before we see a romantic interest. However, in real life people often get crushes while knowing very little about each other. I know it’s not as deep as people would like but I think Aloy saw a pretty, badass girl near her age and developed a sort of crush on her. People don’t see it. Aloy is nervous and anxious around somebody for the first time and is not completely sure why. People don’t always fall in love with the people they spent the most time around. So, it’s interesting to me to see people calling this “forced” when this is a completely natural development. I think they did a good job, particularly Aloy’s voice actress.
I wonder if this choice will have an effect on horizon 3?
Seeing Aloy and Seyka reminded me of Vi and Caitlyn from Arcane. I know their encounter was brief, but in that short time, they risked their lives, saved each other, fought together, and opened up emotionally. When two people share intense experiences, bond over commonalities, and genuinely like each other, feelings can develop rapidly. It's understandable to believe you've found a connection.
So glad I went with the ❤ option
