Horizon Forbidden West - Cute Hidden Dialogues with Beta (if you never chat before bonding with her)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 25 июн 2024
- Hello,
So while doing my 7th playthrough I decided to do things differently. I was wondering if the cold dialogues with Beta would change if triggered after bonding with her (the cutscene with Rost) instead of talking to her beforehand. It turned out that all the conversations about companions change and they are wholesome af! I think it's worth waiting to see some more sisterly bonding. See for yourself ^^
Just to make this clear, in order to see the sweeter versions of the dialogues you mustn't talk to Beta about other companions until after you've seen the cutscene that happens before the Gemini mission.

PS.
My heart exploded with joy after watching these scenes. Beta mentioning being outcasts together with Aloy was enormously cute. Have you encountered these scenes before or did you have them the usual way? Игры
Aw geez, Beta's crushed expression after Aloy tells her "it's a good thing you aren't a Nora, then" is heartbreaking. We the players know that Aloy means it without malice (and maybe even sort of a weird compliment, given her own feelings about the Nora). But Beta, very reasonably, interprets it as yet another sign that Aloy rejects her as kin. The contrast between that version of the scene and Beta's hopeful "we could be outcasts together" in the after-bonding version is incredible.
Agreed 100%!
Yeah I remember just being a bit surprised when Aloy said that. I knew she didn't mean anything harsh and was just being blunt like she usually is, but Beta's reaction to it was just... ouch lol.
The first time I heard that I remember shouting to the screen, “Aloy! Could you be a little more sensitive?!” I know she doesn’t mean it, but just because they’re both clones of the same woman, doesn’t mean they are the same.
Aloy's a tyrant I tell y'all.
Who care.. if Aloy reject her, she could fulfill her promise easily.. to kill her when the zenith find them. So, The Zenith cannot use GAIA because there is no clone of Sobeck as key of the AI function. But what happens? Aloy choose to risk everything even all human life only to not kill her sister Beta. Beta is more precious than all human life for Aloy? Yes she is.
The contrast between before and after is so great.
In the before, Aloy is trying desperately to get Beta to talk more, while also trying to keep her patience in tact (a clear sign that she is solemnly focused on the mission, and forgetting to treat Beta with more care), while Beta is retreating into her shell and stumbling over her answers (you can hear the nervousness as she feels interrogated).
In the after, Aloy is more gentle in how she interacts and speaks to Beta; while Beta is more relaxed and her answers come more naturally
I love your point of view!
I can’t wait to see how their sisterhood flourishes in the game. Aloy is going to have to teach beta how to fight if they are to get back Hephaestus and defeat nemesis.
I dont think beta will fight however she'll be like shaun hasting from assassin's creed to aloy. She will run shotgun with her from the base running all sorts of programs and anti hacks to help aloy with her missions
@@AMaidenlessRunt she's the girl in the chair for Aloy!
Honestly I really like to see that.
The story would be very interesting to see how she develops her story and character. She definitely would like to be praised by her big sister. ❤
Beta will most likely be the girl in the chair
I didn't even know about this. I always had the before bonding. When Beta said they would be outcasts together. And Aloy's expression. 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Beta adores Aloy. Hits me right in the heart.😭
I'm glad people are able to find out about this wholesome version
I honestly wish I was there, being friends with Beta. I wish I could get her away from Aloy so I could keep her safe while still having everything she wants and needs.🫂💕
@@aidenparker5955I strongly feel that Aloy is good for Beta, once they bonded. They can be sisters. Family. Kin.
@@kevinthunder3375 nope. Aloy is just in a dark, scary way lying and playing around with or forcing Beta to do her bidding, manipulating her as a nobody and an instrument.
Definitely doing it this way when New Game + comes along. I really hated how short with Beta Aloy was. Honestly wanted Varl to have a word with her about how nasty she was.
Considering the stress and doubts she's already subjected to, it's not surprising that beta's pessimism would grate on aloys nerves
Though I love Beta, I understand why Aloy found her grating/hard to deal with at first. To Aloy, Elizabet is an ideal more than a person. Both the closest thing she has to a mother figure and a role model she admires. But she also feels she has the duty to live up to Elizabet's legacy and champion the same cause she did. And I think the idea of that- the idea that she is directly related to Elizabet- is a source of inner strength for Aloy when things get tough and the odds seem impossible. Because if she was brave, strong, selfless, kind and wise enough to save the world once, then Aloy has that potential too by way of having the same "essence" as her.
And then it turns out she isn't the only clone of Elizabet... except Beta hardly seems to fit any of these standards, at least at first. She's knowledgeable but not a fighter, prone to panic and quick to throw in the towel at the first sign of difficulty or risk, often coming across as self-absorbed in her cowardice (like that "if you had died Earth would be doomed, *MY* escape would have been for nothing" line before she bonds with Aloy). All of which is diametrically opposed to how Aloy sees Elizabet. I think it's more than just Aloy not getting along with Beta because she's too different. I think to Aloy, Beta represents the possibility that she could not measure up to Elizabet even though she has her genetic code, that the idea she drew strength from- being blood related to THEE Elizabet Sobeck- ultimately means nothing. I think that's why she's kinda hostile towards Beta for a lot of the game- she feels threatened by the prospect she represents.
And of course that's not fair to Beta. We later learn not only where she comes from, but also that this entire time she has held her inability to fill Elizabet's shoes against herself as much- if not more- as Aloy did ("what is my defect?" scene). And then they have a heart to heart and the extent of Beta's trauma, dehumanization and loneliness finally sinks in and Aloy realizes that what makes them so different is that she had a support system where Beta had none. Like the closest thing this poor girl had to a loving relationship before Aloy and the crew was Tilda- who we know completely ghosted her after a while and only ever saw her as a way of alleviating her own guilt over Elizabet's death and an extension/pale imitation of her. Beta deserves all the hugs man- and also probably a new name :(
But yeah, given Aloy's character and the information she had at the time, I think her initial reaction to Beta was at least understandable.
I spent LARGE swaths of the game shouting at my TV... "Aloy just HUG YOUR SISTER!!!"
@@chiefpurrfect8389 an excellent analysis - and I came to much the same conclusion.
Aloy spent her entire childhood seeking her mother. Then discovered not only that her mother was a god-like figure who saved the world, but now Aloy is tasked with the same impossible quest.
Aloy stands in Elizabet's shoes.
The pressure to live up to that - not just parental expectations, but if she fails, the world, itself, dies - against the backdrop that Elizabet accomplished much the same task...whew!
She's not allowed to give up, and she's also not able to hand off the task to anyone else.
She draws strength from her bloodline to Elizabet.
Beta being so pessimistic speaks to that inner pessimist in Aloy - the one she always has to fight because there's no other option for Aloy. Beta's pessimism emboldens Aloy's pessimism and makes the fight harder on Aloy.
Aloy is approximately 19yo and Beta is about 15 (based on a lore video I saw.) These are very different stages of child development. At 15, you're still trying to figure out who you are - it's a terrible time of self-doubt and worry about what others think of you. Aloy won the Proving, so she passed the test of confidence and is beyond that period.
I wish after the bonding scene, Aloy had said, "and I want to be for you what Rost was for me."
How do you “bond” with beta? I loved this character but I don’t recall her and Aloy being super warm to each other until later
Its quite interesting people still discover hidden dialogue even 2 months after release.
People (one person in particular) still finding new secrets in Witcher 3 !!
@@Tom_Kowalczuk and rdr2
It's been 2 months already?! Dang
This game is quite underrated. It actually took time for people to discover these things.
And this will go one for a while.
I remember that I played ZD at least 4 times (being sick in Bed anyway and frustrated how bad I was at first with the controller (never played such a game before, I usually stick to p&c adventures or interactive stories like Until Dawn).
And every time I played it (the last 2 times with The Frozen Wilds) I still ound new things.
Alone how long it took me to discover every possible "conversation" at Rost's grave, because that is only possible if the grave is visited even during the mainquest when fast travel inside NoraLand is not possible, going back to the grave before taking down the Eclipse and the corrupted thunderjaw at allmmother AND doing so again after killing them but before entering the mountain gives such a sweet dialoge, like there is a LOT in the game if Aloy talks to NPCs after or even during tons of quests.
If Guerilla put the same amount of love in the Forbidden West.. everyone who looks for it will keep on finding new things for quite a while.
Love the contrast between these...
Before: she's falling back on her intelligence and knowledge of her experiences, straight factual and logical (technical jargon about Gaia's emotional programming)
After: talking about it from an emotional standpoint, how Gaia become her own independent being (sentience) even going as far as forgetting she's a machine.
I'd love to see Aloy training Beta in the next game or the DLC, Beta is such a rich character and I think Aloy and Beta could learn a lot from each other. They were so cold to one another before the bonding, without this video I never would've noticed how much they grew toward each other. Thanks for this mate!
I’m not so sure they should do that, on the one hand it seems to make sense that with Beta becoming braver they would wanna teach her how to defend herself but at the same time much like with Alva even though the majority of them are I kinda like the idea that not every person on the team is a fighter, like Beta and Alva are the 2 smart ones who stay behind and work on the technical stuff while everyone else does the fighting, to me that makes the team seem much more like a unit, and with the soft, lovable personality that Beta has it seems like that would fit her more than killing things with a spear, so I personally feel like they should just keep her at that
The last one hits the soul, those two are aborable. Im glad aloy has someone now. Just finshed the game 👌😪
beta is so cute
Man... just listening... to the two of them without watching... and it still feels like 2 different people are talking to each other. The acting talent on display is nothing short of AMAZING.
I honestly think Beta was my favorite part of this game
Beta cracked a joke at the end saying they would be outcast together!
The way she said it melted my heart.
Beta hesitating to call Varl a friend like she's afraid to get attached is so sad :( especially given what happens later
Before they became closer I kept thinking ''come on girls you're sisters stop treating each other like you're enemies''
Wow I never knew about the scenes after bonding! It's such a different vibe and you definitely feel their emotion from each conversation. I always thought it was unintentionally cold when Aloy said that it was a good thing that Beta wasn't a Nora. You even feel Beta's reaction and see it on her face. But then again, Aloy's reaction when Beta said that they'd just be outcast together was incredibly heartwarming and wholesome 😁
They're so cute 🤧💕 I wish we could see more of their interaction in dlc
I'd love to see that 💞
I'm sure we will
Beta is a sweet cinnamon roll and when there was a given option for Aloy to actually tell her, “I’ll protect you.”
I literally squealed “YES PROTEC THE CINNAMON ROLL!”
Thanks for uploading this, that last dialogue was so cute!
Very nice. I'd enjoyed the versatility of HZD and seeing it continued here in HFW, in the ability to adopt different play styles. There's no one way to dispatch a machine... and then there's this option of being able to yield alternate responses and slightly varied scenes from choosing different options. I love this stuff.
Aloy is an epic badass and we stan.
Beta is precious and must be protected.
I would have never known about this on my own! In almost all instances I could empathize with aloy and see why she would be so frustrated with beta, but when she told beta that it's best she wasn't nora, I really felt like scolding aloy. Love these warmer dialogues! (Also wow 7th playthrough? That's awesome, the characters and story are by far my favorite in the horizon franchise
13th now 😂 I'm glad you love Horizon ♥ this game deserves all the love!
@@fernomoon it really does! Happy hunting 💜
It wasn't really meant with malice. Aloy grew up a Nora outcast after all so she had her own feelings about the other Nora. It was kind of a weird compliment
I always like FW's story cuz while talking about topics on "twins" or "clones", many stories tend to exaggerate how different they are and focus on the individuality between sisters, while FW focus more on how they have in common and how they're more bonded and inseparatable then other.
Wow. Wow. Wow. THANK YOU for making this video! I had no idea!
I'm constantly blown away by Ashley Burch's unequaled acting performances! I wonder how many hours of dialog she recorded!
And these additional scenes. Wow. Just...wow.
I really love how they thought about everything from the time you interacted with characters. I didn't think to try this, but aloy and beta actually getting along is refreshing. It really helps to make the world feel more alive such as the tenakh showing you respect or commenting on your achievements if you've defeated regalla or finished another quest relating to them
Wow never thought that this would so much differ.
Thanks for showing this
Seems interesting! I wanna check theese dialogues in polish language
Beta still is my favourite character 😍
I wish I never played this game just so I could experience it all over again. If they come up with some kind of device to delete specific memories, I'd use it so I can re-experience stories like this all over again.
At least burning shores got announced
Omg that Last one 💝
love this thank you!!
This right here makes me hopeful for the possibility that aloy trains beta in the next game. Maybe even have them both as playable characters with each their own skillsets. I doubt it, but it would be so cool.
I really hope so ❤
Geez man how will avad, the carja and other tribes react when they see 2 aloys
Petra will be over the moon when she sees she now has two Aloys to flirt with 😆
@@philiphunn194 😂😂
tbh, I don't think Avad would be too into Beta. He seems to have a thing for very strong-willed women. Curious and intrigued yes, but not romantically interested.
@@J-manli If Guerrilla wanted to go full soap opera they could have Beta start crushing on Avad while Avad only has eyes for Aloy and Aloy is only interested in Talanah 😂
@@philiphunn194
That would be my personal nightmare :)
Thus I enjoyed the story between Varl and Zo I am truly thankful that Guerilla spares me any love stories with Aloy (Avad's almost obesession with Aloy gives me the crreeps).
And Beta.. I think they never really tell us how old she is..
I think she is younger than Aloy, 15 or 16 maybe and given the fact that she grew up without any human contact, not even speaking of affection ...
Personally I don't see her in any romantic stuff at all.
Years ago, after Steven Spielberg produced the game Medal of Honor, he was asked about the future of video games. And if they would ever replace movies.
He said (and I'm paraphrasing): "When a video game makes you cry after finishing level 17, movies are in trouble".
This is what he was talking about.
I kind of wish we had a little more control over Aloy's responses to Beta. We only get the one instance of Fist, Heart, Brain choice and I wanted to be nicer to Beta much earlier.
Naww, the after bonding dialogue is soo beautiful! Wish I would've gotten that
Man I love these two
We NEED a Beta plush to go with the Aloy plush
Did anyone besides me ever notice that Beta put her focus on her left temple while Aloy wears hers on her right? Thry are two sides of the same coin.
Yup! I love this fact because of symbolic reasons and that it is perfect regarding photography and other arts
Thank you! Now I just MUST replay the game to hear it by myself on my mother-tongue (russian).
Awwwwww Aloy's SISTER 😢❤️
In this video the dialogue on Erend should be added, where Beta would show him some videos about wrestling ❤. I read a comment saying that this dialogue only appears before going to Gemini, again after the bond between Aloy and Beta.
Yeah, I know but the video is about comparing only the dialogues that appear before bonding as well :) But the dialogues about Erend and Alva are cute indeed
For most people being first in the proving would've been their height for Aloy thats only chapter 1
Anyone else wonder how everyone would react to 2 of her walking around side by side
Eugh.... [strained frowning at that familiarity *(**01:54**)* ]
Are you certain these dialogue options can’t be picked at all after being picked once? I remember a dialogue option with GAIA about zenith shields being picked twice both before and after rescuing beta in the same walkthrough.
Well, it's a different dialogue. It's a dialogue about the Zeniths and these can be picked infinitely
Honestly? I find Beta adorable... But I am suspicious of Guerilla and now having Sobecks. Well, "Sobeck" only by DNA. I think this game has taught us, through Aloy, Beta and now Gaia, that they are their own people/ choose who they are to be and that their upbringing helps to shape that. At any rate, I think they are considering something here. Something we should all be prepared for: Aloy's death. Redundancy. Think about it. She trains Beta how to take care of herself and maybe dies, come the end of the 3rd game, then the younger sister steps up to the plate. If they did this real smart like, they could do a "Prestige" thing here and maybe (fake) kill Beta off or say that she's gone away with Sylens to Sirius etc. Because I'd imagine Sylens would want to go to where the Zenith came from, to scrape up more data and knowledge. Secretly, not even known to Aloy's friends, Beta is training with her in the mountains, hunting etc. Hell, after Aloy trains her, Beta can even go back into her container and just wait for the wake up signal. Lots of fun things you can do with two Sobecks lol. You could also give Beta her own spin-off franchise. Maybe she does go to Sirius and fight AI there as well, either in aid of Sylens, or in interest in being the Sobeck of a new world and starting life there, but also partially in interest of knowing more about the people that raised her. She may even have a completely different style of combat...maybe she's a technomancer and uses Zenith tech/ guns, and things that resemble spells through technology and floats/ levitates etc. As Zenith do.
So I'm doing my second playthrough, and want to experience these dialogues - I just...don't talk to Beta, don't even go to her room after rescuing her until I need to go to Gemini? Or do I simply always choose the diamond/leaving option?
I've noticed dialogue can be missable on the other players if you don't keep up every visit to the Base.
Any tips appreciated! I just don't wanna blow it. :) (Maybe add a little more detailed directions into the description?)
Yes, you should completely avoid talking to her (outside of essential story cutscenes) before the mission to GEMINI.
Glad I talked to Beta after bonding. Before bonding, I purposely avoided her bcs Beta was brooding and being negative. Only after the big fight where they talked about Rost and then achieved a mutual understanding about eachother, I approach Beta.
so about nora after the bonding is missable if you talk with her before on the topic??
So, in order to get the nice interactions, we have to avoid talking about companions and Gaia to Beta until we get the scene with Rost?
Exactly
@@fernomoon I see, thank you
What armor is Aloy wearing? It’s Nora I think, the one at 1:24 but idk if I have that one lmao
Nora legacy
How to get the Rost's armor there?
About "the bonding" is it because the rost scene?, I've never know the bonding but i know all these dialogues i thought it was just dialogues and them in the process of the bonding
I don't know what you really mean, but if I get it right then yes, the bonding is during the Rost scene. Depending on how you play you get either one version (with checking the dialogues before this scene) or the other (after checking these dialogues after the scene)
I can't remember. When it is that Aloy bonds with Beta?
Awee
Beta is too cute for this world 🥺
With beta aloy now has real family.... sisters
Damn i dint know this, ng+ here i come
Just to be clear, I should not talk to her at all (other than the mandatory) until the rost cutscene or just not talk abt "other companions" ?
Also, I know other ppl have asked, but I'm dumb and I've just been avoiding talking to her altogether(other than necessary)
Edit: forget it! I'm so dumb, I did it 😅
How do you even ‘bond’ with her? I can’t find it anywhere online (maybe I am not looking well enough). I did my best to always be kind to her but I still did not get it so I’d like to try again in another playthrough.
You just need to play the game. It's a key point of the story
@@fernomoon i finished the story but never got it. Did I miss it and is it just before gemini?
@@Bram_Weijgers It's when Aloy shows Rost through her focus and realizes that the difference between Aloy and Beta is that Aloy had someone like Rost while Beta didn't.
@@rithvikb.5573 ah thank you very much. I never re-listened to the dialogue so that is how I missed it. Will definitely do it on my second playthrough. Thank you for the help ;).
How do you bond with her? Is it just a story thing?
Yess
Right now, I just delivered all parts to gaia and I currently dislike Beta. She's so whiny. I can see Aloys annoyance with her. I love Aloy. Clearly she's the better clone lol
Okey what do you mean by before bonding/ after bonding?
There's a point in the story where Aloy finally understands what Beta's been through and starts seeing her as something other than an annoyance.
Exactly as Philip said :)
@@philiphunn194 so i just need talk to other npc first before beta at the base??

F*ck.... Why didn't I know about this?!?!? 😳
Aloy Or Beta
Hmm Hard To Chose 🤔
I GO WITH ALOY PELOY YAY 🤩
Porque no los dos?!?!
It wouldn't surprise me if they get to meet their mom in the next game. Is time travel that far off.
Man she really changed her tune quick after their little convo. They shoved like 95% of her character growth into a single moment. A bit lazy but eh I guess the plot needed to get moving.
How bout that... Crappy players who rushed thru the game got rewarded lol. Good for them I guess.
I did not like Beta.
why???
Aw, how could you not like here feel for her? She was abused and neglected so bad, growing up. Then she was enslaved.
