I've just watched a playthrough of Burning Shores since I don't have a PS5 and I gotta say that Kylie and Ashly really did an outstanding job here! Already found Ashly quite amazing in ZD and FW, but this is next level.

Sylens is the second main character of the franchise, only after Aloy. So passing of Lance Reddick is a huge impact on the franchise. The final chapter Horizon 3 will be missing him. Sylens is such an important character, devs can't write him off and make the third game without him. Probably he'll be played with a new actor. I'm just curious how this'll turn out.
With AI they can duplicate his voice I'm sure
Let us hope that this isn't the final chapter. So many ways it could continue. I hope it does.
As for Lance, I'm hoping for Giancarlos Esposito.
Just finished the main game yesterday. What a ride. Man it is so sad what happened with Lance Reddick. I wonder what they'll do with the character in a future game.
Maybe they can talk with his family and, with their approval, continue to use his image for the next games. The voice can be easily generated with IA, and I'm sure they have the most detailed scans of Lance's face. It would be weird, but it can be done. Or they can use it for a bit, as an homage, and to make a better exit for his character from the lore.

@@samuelsop371 One potential solution could be that Sylens finds some sort of ancient technology that he merges with to combat nemesis. That way the character could have a different voice, while still staying true to the character. Sylens may always have a plan, but he's a definitely reckless enough like merging himself with an old world AI.
This is still the most beautiful game to the date

This series had exactly 1 disappointment to me: the Genshin Impact collaboration; great idea on paper, terrible execution.
That had little to do with GG themselves mind you (collab happened out of obligation to Sony for the PS port and cross-play/save), but I discovered Horizon through Genshin so I can't ignore it. It's personal to me.

I’m calling it now, this dlc will be about VAST SILVER. Frozen Wilds was about the discovery of CYAN, Burning Shores will be about the discovery of VAST SILVER.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked Seyka’s character. However, when they mention badass women in the Horizon franchise (besides our protagonist of course) and Aloy meeting her match, I can’t help but wonder, “Did you all forget about Talanah?”

This kind of character is something that's never really been done in Horizon so far and I'm glad to see it realised.

Horizon is just the most fun game I have ever played and learning about this universe and the tribes is always such an amazing experience that no other game has ever given me before.

Nooo, don't jinx it. If Burning Shores ends like the Frozen Wilds DLC, where they introduce us to a new great character only for them to sacrifice themselves in the end, I'm not doing it. I cried once, not doing it twice lol.
You know, I was overall neutral on the idea of Seyka being Aloy's possible love interests. I was like, guys we have just one concept art and a few scenes of them interacting in a single trailer, we need something more then that... And then 2:51 to 2:54 happened and now I'm wondering, "Okay, ARE they going to be a thing?"
It's not that Aloy helps her up it's how the two bump into each other and what seems to be a long pause after that moment, like they've just realized how close they are and it's like "Aloy and Seyka .exe has stopped working. Please realize your feelings and Reboot Systems to Begin Properly working."
That, combined with Kylie Liya Page's little bit about opening up to love and I'm like, "Are you trying to be subtle and failing at it?"
I agree. I think it makes total sense as well as Aloy just learned how to bond and work with people as a team, whether it's with allies or friends, not to mention her new family. I think this progression of letting Aloy experience something like love and romantic affection is an interesting concept for sure, and I'd love to see how she'd handle something like that. The fact that Seyka seems to be just as capable as Aloy is really intriguing too. This whole time Aloy has been afraid of letting people tag along because she feels it's something only she can do and doesn't want to put others' at risk. But throw in someone who's just as capable as she is and how will Aloy respond? Will she be like Elizabet and hold everyone at arm's length, closing herself off to human interaction in favor of her duties to the world? If they go in that direction I'm definitely excited to find out.
@@senyuri7496 Sobek may have just been Asexual and her keeping people at arms length may have been a coping mechanism for that. To keep from hurting them.

But yes I think so too in regards to keeping them safe, and that's why I'm hoping Aloy doesn't follow that same path in terms of emotional connections with people and even herself. She's been isolated her whole life, so I would like to see her develop more relationships with people and make more friends.

I understand their hyping up the new character and I was definitely a fan . However I'm going to have to disagree with the aloy finally meeting her match thing . There were several characters in both games that could've qualified for that .

Can we get rid of the “hero lighting” on all of the characters? It looks horrible and makes the characters not fit into their environment. There’s a constant light source shining on them that doesn’t fit the environment light source.
Opinion....i love the hero lighting and it should stay.

What would be nice if they made a physical copy of this DLC kinda like naughty dogs did with uncharted lost legacy DLC But either way, I am still happy
Difference being that Lost Legacy expanded in scope until it became too big to be a dlc that it turned into its own standalone project
Uncharted The Lost Legacy was a standalone game not a DLC
