In this tutorial, I'll show you how to simply split two videos side by side in Sony Vegas. We'll use the Event Pan/Crop tool to create a one-time preset which can be used for all videos. Works for 1080p and 720p video sizes + more.

add a third video/photo track which shows your chosen background, if you crop the other two as described the third one or background should show up instead of the bars

Thank you for this tutorial! This works in Vegas Pro 19 as well. This tutorial enabled me to compare two of the same video rendered in different bitrates, and sure enough there was a difference between them.

+tanishalynne No, that's the same for all video players, unless you mean to color the background. Cause if you fill it with the video, the video resolution will be out of proportion and look very weird.

You just put a layer of white behind the layer of the two pictures. (by saying layer I mean track)

say i have two videos
12 and 35
and i want to split the video 12 (as in i have a image and i cut it in half and remove one of the half)
so that leave 1. and then i do the same thing to video 35, that leave 5.
then i want to join them together which will result in
15.
