Just replaced both sides on my stepdaughters 2013 Jetta. I replaced both ball joints too, (fun getting those off). Also, changing the drivers side is more involved with the dropping of the sub-frame and tilting engine/transmission back to get to enough clearance to remove/install bolt. Again, both sides were tough getting the ball joints out. Lastly, I pre-loaded my suspension to levels the same as sitting on the ground with tires mounted. This will require one to raise the rotor a lot higher to do this.
Yup. this guy probably dealt with the Driver side and didn't care to note the extra steps in this video. Leading less experienced DIYers to think both sides are easy like this. Great job OP. 😂
The bolts for the arms are considered stretch to yield bolts and are not reusable, did you know that? I just found out when I looked in the manual and also the dealer confirmed it. Overall a good video planning to change mine but buying new bolts they're super cheap at the dealer 5 bucks for both sides.

6:41 what’s the nut or bolt called? He’s taking it off and I need this for my car as I almost got into an accident because it was stolen off my car
Really awesome video. Hoping it's this easy on my 13 TDI.
You can do it!
Super thanks
