    Great Bulls team. True dynasty.

  • @yaiqab
    @yaiqab 11 лет назад +5

    Exactly. This Cleveland team right here was an excellent team. They were every bit as good as the Spurs of the 2000s. Daugherty was just as good as Tim Duncan is. He just played in an era with a bunch of dominant big men.

    • @williebrown3691
      @williebrown3691 5 лет назад +2

      yaiqab. I disagree. Daugherty was a poor man's Tim Duncan. Their games were similar but Tim Duncan could block shots on the inside and Daugherty couldn't. Duncan had better post moves than Daugherty. Even though Daugherty was solid he wasn't better than Duncan. Nance and Williams made Daugherty look good on defense due to his inability to block shots. All Daugherty did was held his hands up. He never left the floor to block shots. I fault Coaching on that. I would've called him out as a Coach.

      the 1992 cavs were more elite than the 1995 and 2001 spurs and the 2000's didn't have legends like jerry west larry bird magic johnson kareem abdul-jabbar oscar robertson wilt chamberlain and bill russell

    you have to remember that Cleveland hated him since 89 and "The Shot". They loved him afterwards after he came back from his first retirement

  • @d25615

    It's kind of sad this cavs team never made it to the finals. They were the better team a few years definitely in the series with the shot. What's crazy is watching teams that were once contenders with the bulls move aside and never have a chance once they started winning. The teams that were contenders like the cavs during the first three peat. Didn't gave the staying power to take over the east. They moved aside for younger teams to get beat in the second three peat when the bulls where old but Damn were they good.

      D Lowe. Letting go of Ron Harper was a big mistake. The Cavs was never the same after that trade.

    • @NZ92673
      @NZ92673 5 лет назад

      @@williebrown3691 That trade was more about politics rather than basketball. Wayne Embry didn't like Ron Harper and heard rumors that Harper was hanging with the wrong crowd, hence they wanted him gone. The problem with Danny Ferry was he wasn't strong enough to be a power forward or quick enough to be a small forward. Even if Ferry would have worked out, he wasn't gonna match up with Scottie Pippen. My gripe with Ferry was not so much that he underachieved, but how he held the Cavs hostage with his 10 year 37 million dollar contract. Ron Harper with the Cavs would have gotten the Cavs to at least one title in my opinion.

    0:45. Check out where MJ jumps from. And he did the same even with dunks. Because he could palm the ball, he could jump from much further out than anybody else and finish plays. Countless drives, MJ finished with crazy layup a from much further out than any other player would even try to convert from - including today's players. In today's game, only Kawhi would have a chance but I don't think he has the requisite skills or leaping ability.

    If that had happened in practice, Ferry would've gotten his ass laid out. Jordan was known for clocking dudes in practice lol. Ferry was still mad about the dunk that Jordan had over him the year before, and the trash he talked after it. Look it up. The game is on youtube.

    With Lebron that was a different case because he received most hype but he backed up with his tremendous skill and earned the entire 3 year (4th yr opinion) worth $60 million. The problems the Cavaliers during the Lebron was that he lacked the good supporting cast and he made his first Finals with Pavlovic, Gibson, Hughes, Gooden, and Ilgauskas (not a strong cast). The reason Mo Williams made his only all star appearance was because of Lebron.

    Ferry got ejected cause his punch went forward. Jordan not quite LOL! All kidding aside. Ferry was the biggest bust in Cavs history. Its one thing to suck but when you hype yourself up as the next Larry Bird and drain the Cavs financial resources 37 million over 10 years, that's extortion! Prove yourself first! I wish they could have done that contract with Lebron.

    Bottom line is he could stop Michael in 88, and especially 89, throughout that series so Michael had plenty of reasons to say that he couldn't guard him but their is no shame in that because despite that fact Ehlo was a good defender when you matchup against him you got no chance.

  • @SeecretWeapon

    0:59i think the layup at the beginning was routine for him
    1:07 look how he moves from the first step tot he last
    2:01 just shakes and gets what he wants
    5:10 players today scream and yell. hes dunking on no slouch there
    5:38 someone tell Ehlo thats Jordan he's trying to pull that lazy defense with
    8:03 Wade picked up Doughertys move only made it 100 times faster
    8:34 finishing with his left and making it look easy

    Cavs would have won NBA Title in1992 not for the great Mike. I savor every victory over the Bulls during his era. Cavs 99 Bulls 85. Cavs beat Chicago in the 72-10 1996 season 75-72

    Danny ferry shouldn't have got ejected in that game. Like I said before, Jordan got the calls, if not all of them during this time. how are you supposed to beat him with stern on his ass every year, except for '97-98. Well Malone had those because Jordan was old, and Kobe Bryant was the new thing at the end of the decade.

    • @theroseexperience

      He threw a punch that soft connected and then back handed another. How was that ejection unjustified? Today that's a suspension and a bunch of softies chesting up.

      The Rose Experience - he's one of these delusional people who want to attribute MJ's success to foul calls. According to him and others like him, Jordan got every call. Did he get star calls? Yes like all stars. ALL STARS get calls.
      But it's laughable to suggest he got all the calls. Especially back then. Jordan used to get pummeled. There's countless video for those that didn't watch available here.
