- May 7, 1992 Chicago Bulls vs New York Knicks.
After first tight physical game Bulls are trying to find offense and defend Patrick Ewing in post and on peremeter.
One of the most physical basketball series in 90s...
Matchups:
Grant vs Oakley, Pippen vs McDaniel, Jordan vs Wilkins, Cartwright vs Ewing. - Спорт
Today you will never see a game like those. Bulls, Knicks, Heat, Pacers, Pistons, Suns, Jazz. OMG, What teams!!😱
BJ Armstrong with some huge plays in the clutch
the 90sNBA was so hard defensive!
Jesus... Oakley, Mason, Ewing, and McDaniel on the same team. That's like a checking line in hockey. The most physical team I've ever seen. The Bad Boy Pistons were physical but their bad reputation had more to do with playing downright dirty. The Knicks weren't trying to injure people though. They played hard asf but also clean. They have my respect for that.
Let'sAllLove Lain - EXACTLY! Detroit took cheap shots but the Kcicks were just straight up physical bruisers! This was so challenging for their opponents not only physically but also mentally. The fatigue factor was real in a way that you don't see today
Let'sAllLove Lain Greg Anthony was a lol dirty especially against the Bulls since Mj always had his number
&(+-power.

NBA today is too regulated 90s ball was hard and tough yet allowed players to showcase their amazing skills which tells me players like MJ Pippen and Ewing would be dominate the nba today
TaArxidaMou - exactly! Way too regulated today. You can't stand in the paint on defense for more than three seconds. You can't put your hands on somebody. Etc etc. too may rules and countless foul calls which give soft players today too many free throws. Of course they score more today.
That's why these stat comparisons while not accounting for the ease of scoring today are so ridiculous.
Jordan, Pippen and countless others would dominate in today's soft ass NBA.
Jordan’s post game is unstoppable
It still amazes me the noise the Stadium use to create. The UC may be bigger but never this loud
Exactly.... nothing will ever beat the loudness of the old Stadium...
I'm so accustomed to watching today's NBA I expected a gang of whistles on several plays...damn they were physical
M B so true was expecting a lot of whistles too
that 92 Knicks team was stacked
Extremely stacked! If that 92 team ran it back in 93 they would have beaten the Bulls.
They should have kept Wilkins...he couldn't stop MJ but did better than anyone else.
That knicks team was low key stacked. Jackson, starks, xman, Oakley, Ewing with mason, Greg Anthony, kiki, etc coming off the bench
1992 Knicks:
*Patrick Ewing HoF- Top 5 in the MVP vote ( 1992 ).*
*Xavier McDaniel-1x All-star.*
*Charles Oakley- 1x All-star, 2x All-Defensive Team.*
*Mark Jackson- 1x All-star, 1x Nba Assists Leader, 1987/88 ROY.*
*Anthony Mason- 1x All-star, 1x All-Defensive Team, 1x Nba Sixth Man,*
*1x All-Nba Team.*
*John Starks- 1x All-star, 1x All-Defensive Team, 1x Nba Sixth Man.*
*Gerald Willkins, Greg Anthony and Old Kiki Vandeweghe.*
10:04 Now that's team work!
Basketball and boxing combination i love 90s nba
BJ was a huge part of this win!!
BJ hit some clutch shots down the stretch late in that 4th quarter
Jesus - the X man was so BADLY in Pippen's head in this game. You could see it in his eyes - he was totally intimidated.
daveberg69 you crazy as fuck x wasn't in scottie head, talk wht you know!!!!#whowontheseries
Scotte Pippen=6-Points, FG-17%.
I don't care what anyone says, players back then were tougher than they are today. Kevin Durant just tore his Achilles. All these players today are tearing their Achilles without even playing defense. This series alone should have had at least 5 torn Achilles. LOL!
Knicks should've kept this same squad the next year. Instead of letting Wilkins and X-man leave and acquiring Smith. They would've won this series IMO
Nah
If the Knicks were going to win this series, they should have won this game, and had DA BULLS down 2-0 going to New York!!
4:25 U can get a better look at the move if u watch MJ Airtime...its the split turnaround jumper, its not a travel, and neither Kobe Lebron, nor any other player whose come since has replicated it...
starks blows it in the clutch again
BJ saved that game. Chicago could've gone down 2-0 heading back to NY.
I always wondered why did they get rid of BJ Armstrong I know they brought in Ron Harper did they bring in Ron Harper for his defense because BJ was a way better score
@@kbnice2393because of penny hardaway killing him in 95 n Orlando was so big with penny 6’7 Anderson 6’6 Scott 6’8 grant 6’10 n Shaq 7’1 he got abused n couldn’t guard anyone n he didn’t want to come off the bench n they needed the bigger guard. So they started harper n got rid of bj . Harp was a better fit to beat Orlando in 96. He came off the bench in 95 n it just wasn’t right because Phil had to try to work bj in and he got abused the entire series
I always wondered why did they get rid of BJ Armstrong I know they brought in Ron Harper and Steve Kerr but did they bring in Ron Harper for his defense because BJ was a way better scorer than Ron Harper
Bodies getting thrown to the ground almost every other play
The league is more easily controlled with more rules in set. That is why I don't watch it no more, its like the WWE trained to confuse you
I can’t figure out why the Knicks got rid of the X-man and Gerald Wilkins after that 92 season. They probably would have beat the Bulls in 93 had they kept them.
Nah.
Just commented the same thing before I saw you said it.
