    After watching games 2 and 4 carefully...had they stayed concentrated, the Bulls would've swept the Blazers. Too many strange turnovers.

      The '92 Bulls for some reason, struggled more than they should've in the postseason. I think it was just the situation of being the hunted. Knicks, Cavs, and Blazers all seemed to take them further than they should've gone. But Portland REALLY blew a chance to push it to the limit. Up 17 late in the 3rd...they should've won Game 6. The last gag job of that Blazers team that really underachieved.

      it's nice to meet you and i'll say the 1992 blazers didn't play them as well in the playoffs as the 1992 cavs 1992 and 1993 knicks 1993 suns 1996 sonics 1997 jazz and 1998 pacers but more importantly the 1992 knicks didn't get past the semi finals like those other teams

    This Portland team was no joke. Surrounded by shooters and guys who could score really well inside, it’s no wonder they nearly took the Bulls to 7 games.

    Now that I think about it, the '92 Blazers were the only ones who had a chance of beating the six-time champion Bulls.

    Forgot it actually was 2-2 after 4 games. The series seemed more like a blowout. However, I never thought the Bulls were in danger of losing the series. The Blazers had really good talent, but the Bulls were a far better team. The Blazers reminded me a little of the Buffalo Bills. A collection of talented players who didn't really gel as unit at the championship level. On offense they seemed to stand around too much playing one-on-one basketball - unlike the Bulls who had that triangle offense. A lot of times the Blazers would throw up a long jump shot and it seemed there was no one around contesting for an offensive rebound. That was different with the Bulls who always seemed to be putting pressure on the other team on the offensive and defensive end. They also didn't have that extra superstar player to compliment Drexler. Drexler was their go-to player, but they didn't have some one else they could get the ball too who they could count on to put the ball in the hoop. Drexler was also more of a slasher rather then a go-to player like Jordan or someone like Hakeem. The Blazers where very good, but they lacked a more comprehensive team system on the offensive end, and they also needed that extra superstar player to help them win the championship. Drexler later found it with the Rockets and Hakeem. Very good team. They just weren't the Bulls.

      Blazers had bulls in trouble in game 6

    • @Riles3152
      @Riles3152 2 года назад +3

      They had there chance against the Bulls. I think revisionist history causes many of us to only remember this series from MJ's iconic shoulder shrug game 1. But we forget how Portland bounced back and showed real TEAM character by winning game 2 in Chicago in OT. Obviously winning game 4 here and were a 4th quarter collapse away from taking it to a deciding game 7. I thought overall they had a respectable showing in there 2nd trip to the finals. They just had the misfortune of running into the historically under appreciated Bad Boy Pistons with prime Isiah, and the incoming dynasty of the 90's Bulls led by peak Jordan.

      Had Sabonis been able to suit up for the late 80s/early 90s Blazers he would've been the Final piece to a title team at some point.
      They were just missing someone that could consistently score or create in the halfcourt when games slowed down.

      Blazers should have won game 6. Up by 15 points in the 4th quarter, Jordan on the bench, the Bulls had basically conceded the game. Then the referees stepped in to “fix” things. The first 11 possessions by the blazers in the 4th quarter, the referees called highly questionable fouls against the blazers. The commentators even discussed how every call was going against the blazers
