    GOAT and he only played 11.5 years. People throwing out that Kareem has better numbers and just as many rings and more mvps. No shit Sherlock the man is one of the greatest of all time and he played 21 years in the league, so I'm sure he'll have better stats. Had Jordan not broken his foot in 1985 and retired from 1993-1995 he would have won more championships. Jordan should have more MVP awards, but the voters just didn't want to vote for him every year because he could have won it nearly every year. Don't believe me LOOK IT UP! The man is the greatest basketball player to ever play and to say otherwise is utterly ridiculous.

    • @d25615
      @d25615 8 лет назад +4

      If jordan would've retired after that 88 he would have still had a hall of fame career that's how great he was. It's amazing what he accomplished in the first nine or 8 and a half. Then he added 3 more years of winning.

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 6 лет назад +5

      MJ has the best numbers still and better than Kareem or LBJ. Both will beat MJ in terms of longevity stats but those don't mean that much - it's about the per game numbers and MJ is clearly the greatest ever. It's not even close. Once you play 10 seasons or so, that's a career and it's about the quality of play through said career. Nobody thinks Karl Malone is better than MJ but he scored more points as he played so much longer.
      What is incredible is how efficient MJ truly was as he only played 11.5 actual seasons for the Bulls and he generated all those numbers. What's even more amazing is that MJ's numbers were at their highest in his first 6 seasons which are the best stretch in history in the modern era. But he sacrificed his personal stats at the start of 89 for Phil Jackson and the Triangle which he agreed to for the sake of winning. Imagine if they never brought Phil in and he continued to play without the Triangle? His numbers would be astronomical considering he averaged 37 points in his 3rd season!
      And finally, he did it when it was much harder to score - if he played today, his numbers would be even higher.

    • @JSwanKilowJ
      @JSwanKilowJ 6 лет назад +3

      I have to imagine that Jordan (without injury & retirement) and Wilt (without injury and change in playing style) would be the only two people in the 40000 point club, barring the conditions I listed.

    6:01 That sequence pretty much sums up the heart of Michael Jordan, kids. That's why he will forever be the G.O.A.T!
    1: He splits the double team defense with amazing ball handle
    2: Drives to the basket, pump fakes in mid air and makes the shot.
    3: Steals the inbound pass.
    4: Gets pressured and loses the ball.
    5: Chases McDaniel all the way down the court and cleanly prevents the shot!
    UN...FUCKING...BELIEVABLE!!!!

    Real physical defense and no FLOPS. Basically NO BLOOD, NO FOUL. That is unheard of in today's NBA. One big reason why Today's top Shooting Guards like Kobe, Lebron, Durant, Wade and others will never equal or top MJ no matter how many rings they win is the fact that all these guys play in the most soft Era of NBA basketball in history.

    • @kanguessokang9918
      @kanguessokang9918 9 лет назад +1

      ***** Are you crazy? Watch the early 90s Bulls vs Knicks playoff rivalry and see the type of fouls committed and hardly anyone was ejected. Today's NBA is a joke. Players get ejected for talking trash or mean mugging other athletes after they dunk on them. Pure trash and soft'

    • @kanguessokang9918
      @kanguessokang9918 9 лет назад +1

      ***** Funny, you get a technical foul for "taunting", you get a technical foul for "staring" at your opponent or "mean mugging" your opponent. You get a technical foul for wagging your finger at your opponent after blocking his shot or just simply put, the Mutombo rule. Tim Duncan was once ejected from a game for laughing while sitting on the bench. No hand checking on defense, I could go on for ever, bottom line is the game is soft and weak today. Most former NBA players agree, from Jalen Rose to Shaq and Barkely They all agree. Players flop at every single contact that it is painful to watch, it's painful to watch a freight train like LBJ and others flopping to the ground after being bumped by a player half their size. It's soft, if you don't see it, I have nothing else for you.

    • @kanguessokang9918
      @kanguessokang9918 9 лет назад

      ***** Ok, clearly you are delusional or just started watching basketball yesterday. Players don't flop that much? LMFAO, all that tech stuff doesn't show how soft the game has gotten? Ok, have it your way, there's clearly no point in conversing with someone who thinks flopping in the NBA today isn't out of control, I am done here.

    Great match-ups with the Knicks enabled NY to push MJ to 7 games! Born & raised in Chicago, this 91' - 98' Knicks team was my 2nd favorite 90's era team after the Bulls. I can appreciate NY's "blue collar" determination & work ethic! Only Detroit's "Jordan-rules/Bad Boy Piston's" Championship team gave MJ & Co. better competition from '88 to '91. MJ's inability to hit a curve ball in my opinion, was the best thing that ever happened to the city of Chicago!

    omfg best sequence EVER from 6.00.. shakes the double, scores, steals inbound, turns it over, chases McDaniels down for the block. Seen 50,000 in Air Time as well.

    Mike drops 42 points in a game 7 while kobe goes for 6 of 24 in game 7 of the 2010 finals vs the Celtics. That just about sums it up big time.

    One of the many (!!) things that make MJ by far the best is his ability to take his game to another level on command !!! It is as if he had a kind of super-pursuite-mode button he only had to press.....
    Make MJ angry or give him a challenge.....he presses that button....LaBradford, George Karl, Van Gundy, Alonzo, Knicks, Pistons,Game 7's, Flu, Comebacks.
    I think if Jordan's body was not wearing down he would come back every 2 years and still win championships. His hunger never stops !!

    I mean the best moves, the best plays always come from his most important moments like finals or here game 7 in playoffs

    Michael Jordan, at 35 and with torn ligaments in his index finger on his shooting hand, shot 46.5%FG in 1998. Take into account he rarely drove and shot an ass-load of fadeaways(very difficult to perfect), i'd say that's pretty remarkable. GOAT

      What wasn't shown was, when Jordan first went to McDaniel, to separate him and Pippen, Mason came from behind and pushed Jordan with one arm. Jordan turned around and looked at Mason, and Mason walked away. Jordan then went back to McDaniel. It was so funny. At 3:05 you can see Jordan turn his head away, that was Mason.

      chiladin he never lost in the finals. 6 on 6 mvp finals. 10 times scoring leader. and game 6 of nba finals.have you ever seen someone to perform like this in the last minute in the finals??? with that pressure. never.he was the man in his team. Jordan grew up with his team brought it to the win. kobe for me are just two.three the best player of the team was shaq.lebron had to move to miami where there was a great one like k wade.

    • @Elbomberdelvernal

      Jordan played against the greatest players in the world.the majority of them was afro american athletes. I think in bill Russell time there wasnt a lot of black guys in the League and we know why,M.L.king Malcom X they was fighting for a full integration in the Utd states of america society.So in a few words the League was composed by a lot of whities which are not known as great athletes.People never talk about the BIG O oscar robertson,he was huge,I think he s better than Russell than wilt and so on.the goat ok is subjective,but what i don t like is people saying lebron is the goat,kobe is the goat and bla bla bla.about lebron we cant talk noe because he is still in his prime.we can talk about kobe,do u think kobe is better than mike?he s not better in titles,in points(and kobe has been playing for 17 seasons and he has not reached MJ points),hes not better in rebounding,in steals,in assists in defense.. kobe is nearest thing to mike,seems like his shadow. when it counted who performed better than mike? when you close your eyes, and think about mike,kobe and so on which are the highlights of those guys??nothing cant be compared to mike period.maybe magic game six in the finals in his rookie year without jabbar cause he was injured,playing on teh road,he dropped something like 42 p grabbed 10 rb 15 assits and won the champ

    • @Elbomberdelvernal
      @Elbomberdelvernal 10 лет назад +1

      no way,kobe more skillfull than mj??cmon,kobe lost two nba finals!of course he is one of the greatest but if you want to be compared with the god of basketball what he did is not enough!c mon Jordan schooled Young kobe in the all star game during 1998 season. 55 against Washington when Jordan was 40 and he was not even guarding him??he was guarded by newble and stackhouse??!! kobe was 24 and Jordan 40! ok,if Young Jordan plays against the Lakers now(kobe 34,not 40) Jordan will score more and more than 60 points i m sure,because mj was all about motivation. you forgot 1996 season,best team ever(72w 10W).kobe was very lucky to play with shaq.jordan playing with shaq?10 rings easily,no doubt about it.I love kobe,when I hear people saying LBJ is better than kobe i laugh.people is crazy.I like LBJ too,and people now say thatdurant is better indiana will beat his ass and bla bla. lebron has 2 other guys nothing.kobe has 5 (but 2 as a team leader) durant nothing. Robert horry has 7 rings but no ene put him in the conversation,so is for bill Russell they dont deserve it! in his early years you forgot kobe struggling in the playoffs throwing airballs in clutch time.

      chiladin oh one other thing,im 30, and in 2000 years no one wanted to be like kobe,we all wanted to be like mike and than like my favorite player allen iverson. the answer he was really great and his game 1 in the finals is a game for the ages

    • @gabeg2434
      @gabeg2434 10 лет назад +1

      chiladin Of course Russell lost in the finals. You're way too young to realize that Jordan was head and shoulders above any player from any era. 33 means you never saw MJ in his absolute prime, dude was a beast! It's not even close and MJ would have destroyed Kobe in the physical era of the 80's and 90's. They had to change the rules of the game because they were worried someone would get seriously hurt after watching teams play so aggressively that today's game is such a joke.You can't even hand check anyone anymore to increase the scoring and any perimeter player has a huge advantage blowing by people.There is a reason why no one likes your comments, it's because they're totally wrong.

    7:33 This the move Kobe asked Jordan about at half court. When you feel the defender on you back thigh, don't shot the fadeaway, spin off and they will fall foward.
    Beautiful footwork.
