Recently learned Armscor Makati Manila Pistol shooting is P600 for Filipinos, but P1500 for foreigners. Other branches also have extreme price difference. This is really dishonest and taking advantage of foreigners. Especially when Armscor exports products other countries including USA. This could give Armscor or Rock Island Armory (RIA) a bad reputation with US customers and other countries abroad. Another RUclipsr Tony Phan covered it in his video below. ruclips.net/video/uCA5oBWSfzI/видео.html
B Adventures You should realize that owning a gun in the Philippines is not as easy like in the US. Too many requirements and if you really deserve to own one (armed forces, sportsman, etc.) and only if you have a corrupt/ powerful connection. As a member of armed forces and gun sport, the price for a range is just right for us to hone our skill, but for a foreigner having to pay a higher price in my opinion is just right since this country isn’t encouraging gun ownership for ordinary citizen. If you think gun range price is unfair, then maybe you can have your shooting practice in your own country or any countries that offer a much lower price. Don’t blame Armscor or any company for just doing a fair business.
It's dishonest. Not fair business. That means they can overcharge anyone, including locals. You are supporting bad behaviour and scams. You are right about one thing, the corruption and scams will force tourism somewhere else. Foreigners leave after many bad experiences. Won't come back. No more tourism industry. AFP swear an oath of personal responsibility and integrity. I think you're claiming stolen valour. This is the type of corrupt behaviour Duterte is trying to remove.
B Adventures There’s no standard policy or governing body regarding charges for range, you can have it cheaper by being member of the store unless some congressman or lawmakers pass a bill for this. I am not a supporter of bad behavior or scam, being dishonest to me is not telling the truth about their range or not clearly stipulated in their reception area. But they told their price range, just take it or leave it. I don’t condone their exorbitant price but that’s just the way it is, this country doesn’t really promote gun ownership/ handling to foreigners unless if needed so by law even to its civilian. I don’t have to prove to you about my service but don’t you dare accuse me of being stolen valor.
Good video. This is the first Philippines gun video I have seen. I tend to take for granted the rights I have. The majority of people shooting and hunting tend to be more polite and respectful. Stay safe and enjoy👍👍👍👍

Thanks brandon.. hope to see you again! My brother and I went back firing at the range. We tried the 9mm in 1911 frame. Hoping we can visit their marikina branch for the test 1911 Tactical FS TCM.
Hey nice one, was waiting for you to touch base again. 1911's in 9mm tend to shoot very well. I thought they also have a 22 TCM pistol in Makati branch. Try out the 22 TCM for fun. But if you want my honest feedback, get a 9mm. Ammo is more common and affordable and still very versatile. The 22 TCM is so over pressured you get fireballs coming out the barrel. Though it looks cool, its wasted propellant/gun powder. Also noticeable amounts of unburnt gun powder blew back into the slide. Again wasted propellant. The barrel also got really hot after 1 magazine, and my target groups started to string. Over pressured rounds tend to wear out guns much faster. Don't get me wrong, still fun. But I don't see much advantage over 9mm except the ammo is lighter weight.
Glad you liked it. Not sure of your background. You can also get a Filipino friend to go in and check local prices first. You may like link below 😉 Full Auto Guns Angeles City ruclips.net/video/igOEeJ_x6hY/видео.html
Next time your'e at Makati Square you should do a tour of the mall itself, I'd love to see that. I went to school closeby and we would hang out at this mall all the time. I can't believe that Shakeys is still there! That's been there since the mall opened in 1982!
I buy MagTech ammo here in the 'states. Good plinking shot for my Citadel .45 officer clone. Love the Philippine angle on the .45 1911. Excellent quality without the Colt/Springfield price! Great vid!😁😁
Hey nice one. Good to hear your experience. The RIA Citadel is basically the model I used in Philippines. Good ergonomics and trigger. They all worked well.
Good shooting. Enjoyed your video a lot. Me and my Philipina wife love to shoot at the range here in Tampa Florida. The Sig 9mm is great for us as well as the Browning Buckmark .22 for her. Good to see that the SIg knock off is available. Happy shooting and stay safe.

when we arrived in manila we was so shocked by the amount of guns on sight by security and shops, being from england we dont see any guns so openly carried around iike this. It was quite scary until we got used to it a few weeks later. You make it seem not very scary which is good and this video prepares people for what you will see there. great vid
Thank you for the feedback and good points. If you're not use to it can be a shock for some. There is a gun culture in Philippines. The security forces are there for our protection. So culturally well armed security means it is a safe area. I try make an effort to understand the local culture and you have a better experience. If you want a to be better prepared, I recommend you and your friends watch the "Metro Manila" movie. British director, well made, and prepares you for the gritty side of things.
yea i agree its very important to make an effort to understand the culture for sure. I will definitely watch that movie to. I think the gun culture is more popular in manila and maybe cebu city because when we went to the islands guns seemed a lot less in your face. Enjoying your philippines content and looking forward to watching were you go and see if you give us new destinations that we have never heard of

Problem in the Philippines is you have to register your firearm, you cannot buy firearms without registration and you have to have license to carry...unlike most states here in the US you can buy with no registration and u can carry without license...
Cool, I know the feeling hehe. The Armscor/RIA MAP1 is a clone of the CZ 75 type handgun. It's a good shooter. Have you tried Grand Power K100? That's also meant to be very flat shooting. Accurate and low recoil. MCFR Full Auto ruclips.net/video/igOEeJ_x6hY/видео.html

2:33 the glock is about $1,000 USD or 1/7th the average annual salary in the Philippines. To put it into perspective it's like paying $7,500 for a gun here in the US.
That's a good point, puts it in better perspective. Helps you appreciate the freedoms you have in USA. Thanks for sharing 👍 Shooting Sports Playlist ruclips.net/p/PLWw-_AGo_PBhGK1NFoygmiqHuhx8fbtPZ
Dropping low right is typical in over trigger pull or over anticipation of the shot causing you to briefly pull the gun to the right prior to the shot.
Yes good point. I use two thumbs forward. Maybe I'm push the thumbs so hard on the left side it pushes the shot right when it breaks. We checked the sights after. It's common for ranges to over adjust the sights right for new shooters who shoot low left. Or whoever zeroed it shot low left 😂👊
Thanks, still learning but enjoying it. You don't know how good you have it in USA. The equipment can always be replaced. But if you build up the skill you can keep them for life ;)
The strictness of gun ownership and the inflated price is due to the fact that many Filipinos are irresponsible gun owner that's why the government doesn't sell it easily. I enjoyed your video.
Both good choices. Try as many different pistols as you can first. The Armscor (RIA) MAP series is an EEA Witness made under license. Also a CZ-75 clone. I would not have considered it until I tried it. Depends on your region and what's available or not. Shooting Sports playlist ruclips.net/p/PLWw-_AGo_PBhGK1NFoygmiqHuhx8fbtPZ

hey B...good video again...I'm very much into guns....being on large acres out west here...just wondering what gun licences you hold also have joined your Facebook site...have fun...
Oh I don't have any gun license in AU. From the research I did would cost around $1000 a year to own a pistol in AU. Registration, licensing, fees, club membership, etc. That does not include the cost of the firearm and ammo which is also much higher. I saw a Mapgul Pmag selling for $90 in AU. Totally ridiculous, it's a $15 magazine. It depends on your State but most of AU is not gun friendly. So I'm literally better off flying to PH every year.
Ok...thought u had to show a firearms licence...anyway..have fun and maybe one time u can do a video on the restaurant in Radisson Blue at Cebu..it's all u can eat and great food I think it was about $20 anyway..go grab a redhorse...u may need it..

Good video.Always enjoy the firearms videos . Always crazy to see the prices compared to U.S. Understand imported would be expensive to a point. But even the Armscore made in Ph is exp even to West prices.
Thank you appreciate it. Yep I asked these questions respectfully at each business. There seems to be a culture of extremely high prices on all firearm products. A Magpul Pmag is around US $15 in USA. I still could not get a proper explanation how it ends up US $80 in Philippines. I spoke with the different Armcors club branches about the inconsistencies in pricing. Locally made Armscor products are more expensive in PH, than their exported price in USA. Also the inconsistent and higher range fees for foreigners. Hopefully they can streamline and become more consistent in future. Otherwise it looks like severe price gouging.
Export taxes coupled with shipping from the USA to abroad, I would imagine. Box of PMAGs probably ship for $40-50 a box after they slap the ordinance warning stick on the box.
thankz for thiz video. I'm also planing go in makati square.. now i have an idea. for you what's gun store offering low price manila?? hehe. ihope someday I'll be with you in ur yutube. hehe
Glad you found it helpful. Make sure you ask for the Pinoy local price, much cheaper. They charge foreigners much higher. Trust Trade had competitive price for the Norinco and Glock pistols, and tried both at the range. Like anything shop around, maybe you can negotiate better prices. There was a bigger store with more variety, but owner was not there so could not record it. In PH I would probably get a Norinco, the 9mm I tried before was accurate and reliable. Just keep it clean and lubed like any firearm. Haha yes maybe you see me at the range like the other subscriber. Best wishes =)
It is great that the government has given the people to right to own a gun so they can protect themselves and their family but this weapons and ammunition are so expensive that the average pilipino cannot afford to own one. It's all for the well off people, the upper echelon of the population.
Good call. It comes from the imperial past and oligarchs (wealthy upper class). Ironically the imported Glock in this video was more affordable than the locally made 1911's. Sometimes even security forces have to buy their own equipment, see link below. Browning Hi-Power pistol ruclips.net/video/xIX97yMZUI0/видео.html
At first it felt so unfair why an ordinary citizen like me cant have a gun just because of the price but i realized something :most filipinos dont have good gun culture unlike US where they are responsible owners and the ones who can afford it usually means that they are more responsible people when it comes to guns than regular filipino citizens. I mean i am a responsible airsoft owner... but i totally understand why it is a bad idea to make guns accessible to every filipino
Yes. They said 'Take it easy buddy, imported goods are expensive. You'll need to pay upfront. Plus time travel fee, plus electricity fee, plus terminator fee'. Jokes 😂✌️
@@BAdventures hahaha nice, I'm gonna visit this store after everything goes back to normal. I live in San Andres, only about a mile away. Stay safe man!
Yeah..i often went there to armscor firing range..i always use the Armscor MAPP1/MAP1...exellent gun!...cost about 24k-26k...if im not mistaken thats about $140-170 give or take..
The MAP1 Tanfoglio has good ergonomics and flat shooter. But the trigger design is complicated and over travels. Ironically Armscor RIA are much more affordable in USA. All firearms and parts are more expensive in Philippines.
The gun looks more like a M&P w/o the hammer than a CZ 75. By the way, base on looking at the holes on the target, looks like the ammo is the culprit? Seems like It's hitting sideways,
Maybe you meant the NP-58 / P226 clone? That looks like an M&P. The Armscor MAP1 is actually a licensed clone of the EEA Witness. And that is a copy of the CZ-75 style pattern. The slide rides inside the frame for a low bore axis. Good point on the ammo. The cheap reloads could have been inconsistent. Also possible the barrel was damaged or worn out. That can cause key-holing (sideways impact). Both factors would explain why it was printing all over the target.
I've heard of other ranges renting Glocks but never got back to me or the range was far away. Only Armscor brand pistol and shotgun at their range. I rented a Glock19 in Dumaguete City, but that was from a competition shooter who joined our range day.
Exactly. It depends on each country. From what I understand the Armscor MAP1 handguns are built in the Philippines. But all parts came from Tanfoglio in Italy. Sometimes it's joint venture or licensed agreement. Other times the patents have expired. The Glock Gen3 patents expired in USA and internationally. So you can make a complete Glock Gen3 with aftermarket parts. I saw photos of an experimental Armscor RIA SF9, their own "Glock" handgun. Basically a Timberwolf (USA) frame with their own slide and barrel. Vaporware for now, but shows they can assemble the parts.

Yes, despite what the movies tell you. Glocks have a steel barrel, and slide. The lower frame is made of high strength polymer, and reinforced with steel rails. The major internal parts are all metal. Only a few other parts are polymer like: the trigger shoe, magazine release, guide rod, striker sleeve, and sights. The stock plastic sights are known for breaking or falling off. The stock magazines are thin steel wrapped in a polymer shell. Range Day with Glock 19 ruclips.net/video/pgj6PBp4maI/видео.html

interesting vlog, it's not something we see here in the UK , or at least I never have anyway . I am sure someone will tell me I am wrong, but not where I live anyway ,nice vlog
Another sub and friend told me. In UK pistol shooting sports has been banned since 1997. That's why I share this content. Something other countries may not have. Also other sports shooters and enthusiasts can see what it's like in Philippines. Not the exaggerated fake stories the mainstream media would have you believe.
Sig Sauer make good guns, and the P226 pattern is a good shooter. It's been copied and cloned around the world now. I was also impressed with Norinco. They are often made of high quality metals and very tough.
Not too bad, you were shooting better than the person to your left anyway. It looks like some of the rounds were too lite so it caused them to keyhole, turning sideways as they went through the target. I roll my own rounds, meaning I reload my own ammo at home with my progressive loading press.
Thanks for sharing. It's nice rolling your own. I noticed a few key things in PH. Locals don't like clean or lube their firearms. Internals can be worn or damaged and barrels clogged up. You wouldn't know unless you inspect and clean it yourself. I consider it a safety standard as I don't want a gun blowing up on me. I think you're right about the lite projectiles. The bore or crown could have been damaged at some point. I also noticed ranges tend to adjust the sights so point of impact is to the right side. It over compensates for a right handed shooter pushing down and to the left. I checked this theory at the Cebu City branch. The manager tested the point of aim and impact on the handguns. The windage was way off lol.

Another great gun-related video, bro. A couple of suggestions on your stance. You should've leaned forward a bit more on your earlier shots like you did at your last magazine. Also, I noticed you were shaking quite a bit on the arms. You need to breathe properly to relax a bit more. The last thing would be your feet. I couldn't see how wide you had them separated, but that's also a must for a better anchor, and you need to bend your knees a tad bit. By the way, I sold my Walther PPS for a Springfield XDs 3.3 inch in 9mm. I just wanted that bit more of safety (the grip safety, like 1911s have) since I carry AIWB. I was surprised they allow rapid fire in that range, or did you just do that for the hell of it?
Thanks for the feedback and appreciate the helpful tips. Yes need to work on my breathing and stance. Oh what sold the PPS. Well whatever works well for you. Yes you can rapid fire at the range. They try to make sure everyone is supervised, so as long as you're practising safe handling it's ok. Thanks for sharing ;)

ive only shot a few times in my life. it honestly still scares me to shoot anything bigger than a .22 but im deadly accurate for some reason. never shot a semi auto pistol in my life and only a revolver once and i hit cans at that distance no problem first shot i attribute a lot of it to the way i stand relaxed despite being hella nervous i keep my weight centered and back and instead of being titled forward into the shot i tilt my head back a little. i also bend my right elbow slightly and my left elbow a lot more and keep them pointing down towards my hips, i also pull out on each hand slightly and with even pressure to keep the gun centered left to right
Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure where you are or what you shoot. Sounds like a 22lr rifle. Much more stable platform with a butt stock and hand-guard. No, not legally. Usually gunsmiths and manufacturers do that. But if you had the parts you could do what you want. To legally own a firearm in Philippines you need The Basic 3: Filipino Citizen, 21+ years of age, complete and pay licensing requirements. Licensing at PNP Firearms and Explosive Office www.feo-system.com/
Exactly. That's why I wanted to cover it. Interesting as a documentary. But can also help the international friends appreciate their freedoms (or lack of) a little more.
Yes, and I looked into it. They are known for using strong metals. This example was a 40 calibre. They work good. Just keep them clean and lubed like any other firearm. Norinco NP-34 9mm handgun I tried ruclips.net/video/bfDaZsQ3RU4/видео.html

Great to know ! have not fired a gun since about 25 years ago. So it would be fun to check this firing range and see how I am doing today. Tanks

when we arrived in manila we was so shocked by the amount of guns on sight by security and shops, being from england we dont see any guns so openly carried around iike this. Thank you for the feedback and good points. If you're not use to it can be a shock for some. There is a gun culture in Philippines. The security forces are there for our protection. So culturally well armed security means it is a safe area. I try make an effort to understand the local culture and you have a better experience.
Right. Squeeze don’t pull.

hey B...good video again...I'm very much into guns....being on large acres out west here...just wondering what gun licences you hold also have joined your Facebook site...have fun...

Sometimes even security forces have to buy their own equipment, see link below.

yea, those pistols are on par with the price of a small used car. That Glock sell for $400 in the US
Better to have one and not need it; rather than having none when you need it.
At first it felt so unfair why an ordinary citizen like me cant have a gun just because of the price but i realized something :most filipinos dont have good gun culture unlike US where they are responsible owners and the ones who can afford it usually means that they are more responsible people when it comes to guns than regular filipino citizens.
I mean i am a responsible airsoft owner... but i totally understand why it is a bad idea to make guns accessible to every filipino

very nice video.i am from India . which is the cheapest and tourist friendly shooting range in Manila.t thanks
It is indeed. Much more professional and safer for tourists or locals. Thanks for watching =)
Nice video do they have a glock that you can rent or just armscor brand only?
I've heard of other ranges renting Glocks but never got back to me or the range was far away. Only Armscor brand pistol and shotgun at their range. I rented a Glock19 in Dumaguete City, but that was from a competition shooter who joined our range day.
B Adventures Travel Vlogs thanks can’t wait to visit Philippines again.
Q. How do they get away with cloning Brand names? Arent there lawsuits from Sig? Some CZ designs may be public domain by now.

Yes I'm pretty sure I saw TISAS there. I also inspected another Turkish brand Canik TP pistols. Some store didn't allow the camera. You have to keep shopping and asking to see what is available or not. Thanks for watching 👍

What are the Requirements to purchase one 44 caliber?
I don't think there is any special requirement for 44 caliber. What did you have in mind like 44 magnum revolver? Go inside your local shop and ask them, or call them. Also try the Firearms and Explosive Office (FEO) link below. Also general info below may help. Philippines Gun Laws en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_law_in_the_Philippines

Do they ship the frames to the states ? 1911 , and how. Much .
I'm looking for the frame to build , a 38 super , 9mm, 22tcm
I've seen guys in USA build their own using Rock Island Armory (RIA) parts. That's the US branding, but it's Armscor International. Look up RIA and it's much more affordable in USA than Philippines 😉👍
Will do ,it that way

b, what do s your Filipino friendsin australia tell you, what'd they think of you travelling Philippines every year. it all started with your friends wedding right?! just curious.
Well at the start they were very encouraging and promoting Philippines. Now maybe they are a bit jealous because I have seen more of the country than they have lol. I generally don't tell people about my travels these days. If they have never travelled they tend to assume the worst about PH from all the negative press in the media. Also people can just be jealous or immature about it. If they really want to know I tell them I have a channel so they can see for themselves.

Hey dude so i just read a news article on the philippines that the guns they own should not have a fully automatic function only semi-auto, is this true because i havent seen anything in RA 10591 of automatic function being illegal?
Sounds more like a suggestion or critique. I have not seen any legal change either. You have to be careful of fake news. Always check the sources and writer. Sadly fake publications are common around the world now.

hello b adventure we miss your vlog here in Phil
Thank you. This video was part of Philippines Season 4. I'll be back soon enough lol 😎
interesting vlog, it's not something we see here in the UK , or at least I never have anyway .
Sig Sauer the first gun I've been firing at grade 6. Filipino greeting.
@@BAdventures Yes, that's probably right, it could've been a pistol in bad shape.
Can you feature some shotguns being sold there.

I will be going to makati in a few months. Can you rent ar15s there? Or just handguns?
No, just handguns and pump shotgun. If you want to try M4/M16 the best range I've tried is MCFR in Angeles City. Link below ;)
ruclips.net/video/igOEeJ_x6hY/видео.html
B Adventures Travel Vlogs oh man no angeles city is a no go. Gf wouldn't be too happy lol. Already been warned. Aww well i guess pistols will just have to do. Luckily i have an ar15 along with a few other sporting rifles so just have to wait to get back home. Just be nice to shoot one in Philippines.
I understand hehe. I tried finding long arms and rifles in Manila. But the places or contact were unreliable and didn't work out. Hey at least you got AR's back home. If you're going to travel around I heard there is a small range in Puerto Galera. It's a popular beach destination south of Manila. I explored there this Season 4. But didn't know about the range.
B Adventures Travel Vlogs yes apparently thats where my gf is taking me to. So i may hit that place up. Man guns are so expensive over there. For 50k pesos that a price of an ar15.nand wow pmags are only 15 dollars to 20 in the states. And seems like ammo is crazy high too. Im gonna go check out that range when im there.
What is your take on China taking and building fortresses in the south-china sea? Are you taking the Aussie side or China's?
This video was about gun stores in Makati Manila. Don't have a side, and not interested in the politics. Thanks for checking out my channel 😎
I wonder if the prices here are higher than it is in the us?
Yes they are. From what I understand much higher prices in Philippines from local 'fees' and taxes. Armscor International brand under Rock Island Armory (RIA) in USA. Same products made in Philippines. But there is a bigger firearms industry in USA. Shooting sports are more common.

Hi Alexi not sure. I covered what I could as most stores were camera shy. Message or call them to find out 😉👍
The Norinco looks like a cheap crap copy of a Sig Sauer P226. Available in 9mm and 40S&W.
That's a "decocker" to safely lower the hammer.
You should come to visit the U.S. We will show you some nice high-quality guns: H&K, Sig Sauer, Walther, etc.
MagPul = $12/each
I understand, I covered those points in the video. Sharing the travel experience. The Norinco's were good shooters, don't be so quick to judge. You're spoilt for choice in USA. Would love to visit sometime. Thanks for watching 👍

@@BAdventures Thanks! My wife is from the Philippines originally. If we ever go back I might check out some of the ranges over there, just for fun.
And if you ever visit the Pacific Northwest of the US (between Portland OR and Seattle WA and you need a local guide, let me know! Wide range of guns available here. Cheap ammo. And you can go out in the woods and shoot for free! :)
Thanks appreciate it. Made a few friends from Washington State. Would love to visit and check out all the new gear.
Not your fault. Dont be surprised that you got those results. Ive shot at that same place before. The problem with ARMSCOR rental guns is that the guns are so inaccurate. They dont care to align the sights at all. They are just interested in renting them out. Sorry but thats my experience there.
Thank you for the honesty and kindness. You're right, they're not concerned with zeroing sights. Just for plinking and try out their products. Maintenance is also a common problem. If they cleaned and lubed them properly it would also help 😉✌️
Had better luck on a previous range trip ruclips.net/video/yh8gALShrgM/видео.html
Thanks for sharing ;)
where is that old makati square last year I'll go there they said deference this gs to me
It's called Makati Square, formerly Makati Cinema Square. I was staying in the Makati area, so jumped in a taxi and the driver knew. You could look it up on Google maps. It is an older area, I explore a bit in the video below.

@@BAdventures If I want to buy a gun that is not sold in the philippines, how can I buy one from the usa? Is there a springfield armory philippines?
most filipinos cannot afford to buy legal guns because its too expensive and obtaining a license/permit is very hard that is why PALTIK(local made guns) are patronized by those who cannot afford.IMPORTED GUNS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE HERE.
I understand, that's why I covered it. In USA Armscor products are actually more affordable. I think store prices are over inflated.
how much to afford license ?
4 million guns have license and 4 million illegal guns in Philippines 😂

Ang mahal tlga ng 1911 series kesa glock series. Glock kasi siguro more of polymer eh idk. Pero yung glock na pede mapalitan ng barrel from 9mm to .45 astig!
Yes modern duty sidearms tend to use a polymer frame to save weight and manufacturing cost. The 1911 is an older design but still a solid shooter. More stable with a metal frame. But also heavier and harder to manufacture.

ive only shot a few times in my life. it honestly still scares me to shoot anything bigger than a .22 but im deadly accurate for some reason. never shot a semi auto pistol in my life and only a revolver once and i hit cans at that distance no problem first shot i attribute a lot of it to the way i stand relaxed despite being hella nervous i keep my weight centered and back and instead of being titled forward into the shot i tilt my head back a little. i also bend my right elbow slightly and my left elbow a lot more and keep them pointing down towards my hips, i also pull out on each hand slightly and with even pressure to keep the gun centered left to right
Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure where you are or what you shoot. Sounds like a 22lr rifle. Much more stable platform with a butt stock and hand-guard. You worked out a stable stance and trigger press. Some more range videos below 😉👊

No, not legally. Usually gunsmiths and manufacturers do that. But if you had the parts you could do what you want.
