I love the way you've structured your unstructured reset Sundays Alyssa! I aim to do a lot of the same things most Sundays as well. I really like to plan my week and over the years I've created some systems that work well for me. I've learned it's about finding a balance of structure and flexibility. The right planning structure feels supportive. The wrong planning structure feels restrictive. I sit with my weekly plan and shift things around until i'm excited to step into the week and it feels achievable and looks enjoyable! I've also learned to leave space for the unplannable events of life that happen to all.of us. I actually plug it into my week as SLACK ... unscheduled blocks of time where I Strategically Leave Allowance for Crisis and Kindness. I'm such a little nerd... I love a good acronym! 😅 Enjoy the rest of your week and as always, thank you for your thoughtful and inspiring content! 🙏
I find all your videos extremely insightful and fun at the same time. My take away from this one is to really pace my day/ life on my own terms from time to time so as not to get overwhelmed by all the must-be-done noise. "Consistency is better than intensity" great quotation! I agree and was just thinking about this when I watched your video. I notice how people who achieve more of what they want out of life tend to work calmly and consistently rather than in sporadic bursts. I find it challenging to be consistent at times but I've been thinking of building up more of a consistent routine to help me be a bit more efficient and feel less overwhelmed.

Your new place looks gorgeous. Would you consider doing a video about how you approached furnishing (if it was unfurnished?) and decorating with a sustainable approach in mind? It seems that interior design and home furnishings have really started following the fast fashion model and I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.

I love your reset. I too love my weekend reset. Especially the day before my cleaning lady is coming over. I prepare all of the things I need ironed for her to do. I love your notion of consistency vs. Intensity….I am going to use that! BTW, love the new apartment and you inspired me to get into the practice of buying flowers once a week.

I love puttering around on the weekend, tidying, cleaning putting things away, it helps me clear my mind and relax. Also walking my dogs for as long as I want to, taking a coffee with me to enjoy the outisde is amazing!!!! Loved the idea of a small rack.

Would love to see more like this every so often, covering different life topics - maybe your creative process, mood boards, what you like on pinterest etc? The flowers are Lisianthus :) Some of my flower farmer friends call them "Lisis" (Pronounced like "Lizzies.") They can be a tricky crop to grow - need a lot of babying, but beautiful result and as you noticed they hold forever in the vase which is a treat!

I really enjoy your content, Alyssa, so many fashion RUclipsrs are shallow in my opinion and too caught up in trends and how old you are and how you should not wear stuff after a “certain age.” Drives me bananas!! Thank you for being thoughtful and informative. Love the idea of a wardrobe reset! And I love seeing your kitty, I had one that looked just like him but sadly he died a few months ago. But I have a wonderful German shepherd puppy now that is keeping me on my toes, lol!

YES to the weekly wardrobe reset 👌🏼 I also find that doing this helps me start forming outfit ideas for the week ahead! (And helps me stay connected to all the options already in my closet so I’m less tempted to shop 😬)

Apparently more in Asia! We are still burying human kind in discarded clothing! Absolute madness. So keep up the great work!

This introvert would love a Sunday reset but with two young kids, it’s impossible 😂 However, I think I can introduce some sort of routine on Sundays that would mimic this as best we can even if it’s still chaotic. Thank you for so much great inspo as always!

Love having my place sorted. This is a bit harder in recent times as my son and daughter in law did a big renovation then decided, after all, to sell and build. I've been storing things for them for some time. Hoping that all changes soon and boxes etc move out.
This was great and really helpful to remember to incorporate reset and slow days into our lives along with our fashion. Thank you :)

I go back and rewatch past videos often. Recently I reviewed some of your travel planning videos to help me prepare for 5 months at our cottage. I ended up with a capsule wardrobe that so far I am loving and it is serving me well. When I get back home all of my other clothes are going to feel new and exciting after 5 months with a small capsule!

Love Tru Earth laundry stripes. Like you I don’t use traditional fabric softeners but will try their stripes. I also use Tru Earth multi surface cleaner….it’s great. Have a bottle in my kitchen and bathroom.
I loooooove Sunday resets!❤☕️The only morning Im drinking my freshly brewed coffee in my bed (while watching one of your video). Then laundry and closet cleanup. I know a lot of people have sunday blues but to me its really my favorite day. I make sure to celebrate what I accomplished during the week, feeling blessed/gratitude for what I have, setting strong mindset for the new week. When I go to bed on Sunday night in my clean sheets, after I took the time to take a good shower, I can only finish this perfect day with perfects dreams.😇Thank you for that nice vlog Alyssa, you can incorporate more for sure, and with clothing too! I always love your content. Thank you for always being so authentic and engaging. I was wondering if you have a process for cleaning your clothes purchased from a thrift shop. I recently purchased a second hand linen summer dress, washed it normally, then when I was ironing it the most ghastly B.O. smell was released from under the arms. I sprayed it with stain remover and re-washed it (I also use Tru Earth) and the smell dissipated but was still there. So, I sprayed the under arm area with stain remover again and soaked it in a solution of a Tru Earth laundry strip and OxiClean for 24 hours, then washed it a third time. It is finally wearable, but I’ve doused it with extra-strength antibacterial Febreeze as well. A lot of work for one garment. Please tell me you have a better method!!
Baking soda is a deodorizer, so you can also make a paste of water mixed with baking soda in a bowl, then apply it to the garment that has been turned inside out on the underarms, as in your example. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then launder the item as usual. (You don't need to rinse off the paste. I just toss everything in the washer.) I do this with all my workout gear.
Thanks to one of your videos I tried Tru Earth detergent and am now stocked up for a year. The strips work really well and there is no sticky mess from my old liquid detergent.

I'm almost 60 and I find myself thinking about apartments and possibly on my own in the future, and what it would be like again on my own. (Morbid planning, i know 😆but i like to be prepared, ha. Hiya Alyssa from Cephalonia. A few days of vacation before heading back to the UK. I organize my clothes on Sunday too. No space for a rail but plenty of door hooks. 5 days of clothing sorted every Sunday night. Then I don’t have to think. Lol. Love the Hudson Bay blanket in the background. I don't remember which laundry sheet brand I bought before overseas travel, but they're fantastic. They are tearable, if you're just doing a couple of things in the sink; they dissolve almost immediately; and I love that the company isn't shipping huge plastic jugs of (mostly) water around the world. AND they got my clothes clean and fresh.
