I moved in April from a flat to a cottage (still one bedroom) and I have taken my time like you to only add things I really loved but I now have space for a proper wardrobe and a dressing table and getting made up and dressed every morning is a joy. I had done all my decluttering at my previous flat so my wardrobe now has only items I love thanks to you. Looking forward to seeing your other rooms.
I moved out of the primary bedroom and into a smaller room in March. I spend so much more time in this room than I did in the other room. It’s painted light gray and is a very soothing space. I lost my husband last December, so this is definitely a new phase for me. I’m finding it to be a good thing to have my own space. Thank you Allysa for your channel. It speaks to me on several levels.

I checked out Boll and Branch and while they have lovely bedding I would think most of us cannot afford this. I have always found Gluckstein bedding to be high quality for half the price.
Hope you are loving your new life! Consider checking out shoe dividers/slots. I am not suggesting any particular brand; however, there are types that hold both shoes and keep the bottom shoe from falling through the open shelves. This allows for more shoes on the shoe rack.

I love the feel of fresh linen on my bed. Especially 100% cotton that has a nice soft feel to it. For your shoes, as you have many heels, I think a different type of shoe rack would work better. You know, the kind that has jus two horizontal bars and where your shoes sit nicely at a slight ankle. Actually that type of shoe rack works well for any shoes.
Going through this now. Husband and I are sadly divorcing and I'm getting my own house. This one does not have a walk in closet. It's like a wide closet that had the bifold doors taken off. So I have to have doors put on but I'm going to design the inside. It's forcing me to realize that I have to many things. Funny part is that I'm in an airbnb fir about a month. I only have a suitcase of clothes. I've been able to go to work and leisure on just this little bit. So I think to myself.....do you really need all that? Are you fine and more creative on just this little amount. 🧐👀

IKEA has great bedding at a more than reasonable price. For a person with kids and pets, it’s the best. Although I could afford more expensive I don’t see the point.

But more to the point, a team of hospitality professionals inspected what the market offered, and ordered the best version for their property. FYI for a calm bedroom It's poor feng shui to have anything hanging over your head when you sleep (esp. not stationary items), the door should be in front of you when sleeping and mirrors are not good for sleeping. Just thought you might be open to hearing this.

Although I do appreciate your bedroom make -over it should not be on your chanel. It is too private. That also counts for your video on Italy and wine. Why not educate people more about fabrics and the way they are made, the drape and the feeling on your body, the costs for the enviroment to produce the cloth, the fast fashion industry and its way of making money. Awareness about the impact of the fashion industry on the enviroment is much more urgent and because slow fashion is your core business you and your charming presencance could make a huge impact.

Hi Gertrude ... Thank you for the feedback ... what's interesting is that the amount of sponsored content has not drastically increased. What has changed is the ratio of sponsored content vs. non-sponsored. I used to post 2 times a week when I had a sponsored video because I like to keep the ratio balanced but I simply do not have the mental bandwidth for that pace these days as I am going through a divorce. I also need to rebuild myself financially, so - while I still maintain a critical evaluation of the brands I do decide to work with, the ratio of sponsored to non sponsored content has changed, which is why it seems like I'm taking on more. I still turn down 90% of what comes my way due to my slow fashion values, so I consider myself lucky when I can work with brands whose values and aesthetics align with my own.
