How to Spitfire Mk IX Part 1 - Intro and Cockpit Tour - IL-2: Great Battles

- Welcome to the first part of my series on the Spitfire Mk 9. This time I will break down my tutorial in more smaller parts to reduce workload per video release and hopefully get a more steady flow of How tos.
These Tutorials take quite some time to make. So this is a bit easier for me i believe. But when all videos are complete this should even exceed the detail of past tutorials. Other than that the videos will follow roughly the usual chapter flow of past videos.
Have fun.

At the end of the video, you can see the Spitfire lie down in order to gather strength for the next sortie.
lmao
I’ve been waiting on a Spit How To for a while because that’s the plane I enjoy the most. Thanks for this.
You making these videos is great for the il2 community, I learned so much from them when I was starting years ago.
Happy to see this serie back
Great stuff. Thanks Sheriff. They're a GREAT addition to Req's videos as they go deeper into the machines. NOT that I haven't used the plane but a refresher is always a great thing.
Sweet! I missed your how-to series. I know these are time intensive for you to write and compose, so thanks for taking the time!
HI Sheriff, thank you for this great vid. I'm looking forward to the rest. Have a nice day.
great stuff as always sheriff
Love these How-to videos!
I really enjoy your content. Thank you.
Hopefully the improved fuel system that the devs are working on, which will bring things such as drop tanks, will also allow us to manually operate fuel gauges.
I hoped you might do this one day , I am looking forward to seeing more great job.
Just picked this plane up and it's real fun to fly but feels so slow compared to german aircraft, I'm hoping there will be a video for combat tips in the future.
Nice, thanks. These 'how to' vids are great.
I love the tempest but I hate how the compass is right behind the stick, pretty much the only thing I don't like about it
Excellent and invaluable review as usual! Superbly done. (".)7
very nice
I'm not far off my first foray into DCS. Great encouragement. Thanks!
I think a dcs tutorial would help you more :)
@@SheriffsSimShack Any suggestions?
I don't play dcs. But i am sure Google will help :)
@@kiwihame Can't go wrong with Redkite. Grim Reapers also have a lot of tutorials on just about anything in DCS
Thx for the video and work...i am curious for the engine management video..i hope... then it is possible, to bring back the Spitfire to the airfiled...most time i walk.
I love these vids I have been binge watching them with the gf if you are ever able too can you do the Fw-D9 no one does it like you 👌
1. Advice, don't drink alcohol or else you get motion sickness from spitfire wobble behaviour if you only fly axis planes all the time xD
Wobble dee wobble dee wop. I can't fly anything but the Spit. Once you've tasted the butter, you can't go back to margarine.
👍🏻 thanks for the content, very good like always. May i ask what kind of hardware you are using?

Thx
May i ask the screen/video settings for wartunder, your content always looks great 👍🏻.
@@jtkoelewijn I havent played War Thunder for over a year.
Once the IX series is done will you do Griffon?
I think you are confused about the compass. It is for setting a course and following it. You set the compass to show the direction you want to go at the top then turn the aircraft until the Needle (which points NORTH) is inside the two lines. In real life it was also used to calibrate the gyro when it drifted away (by turning the dial to match the needle instead of the other way around). It was horrible and was basically a ships compass shoehorned into an aircraft.
Correct. But we can't calibrate. The t shaped indicator ia pointing the wrong way
@@SheriffsSimShack Sorry. I see now that you were just describing the bodged way that 1C had put it in. I think they had to make the needle work backwards in order to make it point at a useful number. I know either Cliffs Of Dover or DCS has a working P8 compass with an adjustable dial and a way to recalibrate the Directional Indicator (though to be honest, it is a real pain :-) )
Correct. But if the needle would point north it would be useful.
why are the grafix so dark?
Is this the one from Battle of Bodenplatte or Normandy?
the mark 9 i believe is Boden Platte dlc on steam version and il-2 s stand alone
@@RigstersJourney Cool so I already have this one
@@TheWhoamaters yes should be able to fly it :). long as you have that dlc regardless of standalone or steam :D.
@@RigstersJourney Yeah I got it
💪 Promo-SM!!
How did you ger a mark IX? its my preferd modle but all i saw was xiv and V. dlc or in game. since when was a mark ix there?
it comes with the Battle of Bodenplatte DLC
@@SheriffsSimShack Dammit..alright guess thats what im getting lol. Hopefully they put out an early war western campaign. not nessesarily battle of britian but perhaps north africa. Id love a defence of egypt campaign as the british.
(or any pacific campaigns at all)
