Love the plane comparison charts. I know it's a lot of work, but perhaps in your next "how to fight" video, you could also make some charts for plane matchup + what to do in each situation? For example, La-5 vs. G4, what to do on equal energy, energy disadvantage, how to ideally attack, etc. It's hard to keep all your advice together just from remembering all the tips throughout a 20-minute video. Of course practice eventually engrains all these as well. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks. Dunno if I undestand the question correctly. But that is exactly what you see here. "MCN" Videos are only a continuation of Videos I did on predecessor aircraft. In this case the F-4 and G-2. I do full fledged all out explainations on aircraft types I never did before. I can imagine the Spitfires and the P-47, P-51 and so on.
Sheriff's Sim Shack yes that's what I meant, the other planes such as the ones you mentioned. Thanks for the reply,I only found this channel recently but I really enjoy the content, ceep it up!
I was thinking about getting Il-2 BoS (as I have become disenfranchised with WarThunder), however I noticed that Il-2 Cliffs of Dover has been re-released. It is cheaper, and I am more interested in the battle of Britain anyway. However, apparently the AI is horrendous, the flight models do not perform as they did in real life (e.g. 109 B-1 [I think it's that model] is shown as having better turn rate than Spitfire and does not compress properly), and the controls can be a bit finnicky. That said, it is getting updated further with a North Africa expansion which is alleged to have AI improvements (doubt). It costs £20 as opposed to the £40 for BoS alone. Which one would you advise that I would get?
BoS is much more modern. In terms of engine and accessibility. Africa will take a long time before they release something playable. Bos is much cheaper than 40€ if you wait for the regular sales.
Sheriff's Sim Shack OK, thanks for your input, sheriff. Would you advise me to get/make a TrackIR system to play BoS, or is a hat-switch on a joystick enough?
For the start to get the hang of things Joystick is enough. you can upgrade later to head tracking. Dont buy Track IR tho. too expensive for the same bang like other and cheaper solutions. For reference: forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/34403-a-complete-guide-to-set-up-head-tracking-opentrack/
any way we might see a how to MC-202? its a plane very rarely seen so just wanned to see if it could get some love. xD even tho I know its not really the best. xD
I seem to remember the the Spit had one of the highest critical speeds of the war, including jets, is this reflected in the game? It may be dependent on variant, not sure.
Momo mimi you are refering to the Mark XI which is not availible. Also those planes had loadouts specificaly designed to allow for maximum dive speed survival. Not combat loadouts. The mark IX (which is availible) can go past 800kph for a while before it starts to lose control surfaces, but gets squirely around 750kph
Momo mimi Indeed, most of the highest verified diving speeds were recorded by Spitfires. However, most models suffered from "wing-warp", which is where the leading edge of the wing would bend at high speeds. This was fixed with the Mk XIV, which had a very thin wing to prevent this.
+lo - "However, most models suffered from "wing-warp"" - Not "most models" but one plane. While this plane was going at Mach 0.92 (world record, never beaten) the prop fell off, which unbalanced the plane. Due to that it pulled *effing 11g* , which knocked out the pilot and warped the wings. Once the pilot regained consciousness, he landed the bird and collected his medals. Anyway, I'm no expert, but Vb overspeeding above 800 kph seems to make sense to me. While the record plane was not highly modified (apart from fully feathering prop), it was a Mark XI with a new wing (and no guns - Photorec duty).
Realy like the direct comparison between the different 109s and against its Russian counterparts!

Good move! Won't find anyone who does the opposite.
Excellent tips, as usual!
Thanks for the info, I always thought the best climber was the F4..! And good tips for the La5FN
I just got my hots today I hope to see sherrif and the rest of you in the skyscraper when I learn how to fly
Nice vid Sheriff
So glad I discovered your channel, ceep up the good work! You're awesome :D
Also, could you continue the how to fly series in Great Battles?

My only problem with the G4 is that there are always 190s to fly when it's availible ;)

you are awfully nit picky for someone coming from Turd Wander
@@cbz3237 Atleast he quit that stupid game
I do prefer the G4 to the F4 and even the 190 at times depending on my mood.
nightrise45 it’s all in the reflexes...

Excellent Video!
What means (MCN)?
Model Change Notification - when something in-game has changed regarding FM or other stuff (usually FM)
I see in the future I have to explain that. Yes. I use that phrase for changes from predessor aicraft. F4->G-2->G-4
Are you working on a video for the G6?
Not actively at the moment
@@SheriffsSimShack struggling to learn it, not as fast as a 190, and doesn't turn like an 109F4. Just big guns .
And there you hsve said basically everything you need to know about the g6 :)
Is it sad that i use these for war thunder sim and it works?
funny enough, picking up on real world tactics and maneuvers makes you quite the beast in WT sim, you can dominate using proper knowledge
Svastica censored? Wtf...
It was all good, except for that propaganda from the Epoch Times.
uhm, what?
