Howsit Paul, I presume you in jhb somewhere referring to your altitude. I'm contemplating the termi exhaust for my 2015 DVT multi as well. Do you still have your bike? Would love to come hear it in person, mine is still stock exhaust. if you don't mind
Hi, yeah, in the east rand and still have the bike. I went with Akra headers and kept the termi can, I much prefer the look over the full termi racing kit (and it's half the price...) Private message me your number if you like and we can make a plan to show you the bike sometime
Paul any photos yet I want to do the same thing .. it looks like the carbon can is in the same factory location, no problem clearance with the side bags on? if you put a tune in that bike plus the 2017 air box cover it would be awesome thats what I'm doing maybe a rapid bike tuner or Rexxer. Did you weld the bracket to the header for the cover for the termigoni?
Hi, yes it's 'plug and play' to the bike, very easy installation. The only issue it that the diameter of the exit pipe is wider than factory. You either need to purchase a new silencer or mod the factory one. I chose to have the factory one changed as I like the style...
@@Paul-rt3ny Hi Paul, any details on ECU reflash? Was it custom or something off the shelf? Just bought a 1260S with the full system and it pops like crazy...
@@incult Hi there, did it not come with a new ecu/map ? I bought the Rapid bike Evo and then had the bike dyno tuned. Was a mission as they had to cut my Akra pipes and weld sensor mounts so they could measure each cylinder. Well worth it though, the bike is awesome now...
@@Paul-rt3ny So I had a thorough look at the bike, and I have the Akrapovic headers + the D179 Termi, the previous owner welded a short piece of pipe to accomodate the smaller diameter of the slip-on to the headers. It doesn't say Ducati Racing on the dashboard when I start it up, so I don't think it has the "map key" ECU reflash. The problem is that it's really loud, and I don't think it has a very good fueling, it pops like crazy in 2nd and 3rd on downturn. I was thinking to get the Akrapovic slip-on which has an optional silencer to make it a bit more quiet, but still need to do something around the fueling. As it looks, the Rapid Bike on it's own is not enough?
@@incult ok so you have the same setup as me then. When i took mine for dyno they said the 2 cylinders where performing quite differently so they wanted to read each cylinder output directly - not the combined output from the exhaust exit. My guy welded racing sensor mounts to my headers so he could get a reading from each cylinder and then dyno'd with the rapid bike. My bike is still a fair bit louder than stock but doesn't pop much at all. Id spend the money on this over a new slipon any day
Mine needed to have the fuel mapping cleaned up in the dyno. End result was a deeper note and no popping.
Yeah I ended up adding the rapid bike evo box and had it dyno'd to. Quite a difference...
Thank God, I will buy one for myself
Hey Paul, Do you recall how much the termi needed to be stretched to fit? Was an exhaust shop able to do it easily? Thanks!
Hi Travis, they didn't bother stretching, they took the carbon cover off and replaced the inlet pipe with the correct size. Was very easy.
Thanks for the response Paul!
You wouldn't have any photos of the completed can would you?
No not right now. I'll see what i can do

Sorry Paul, I don't seem to be able to PM you on here. Could you contact me on my emai it is hingisp1 at gmail dot com , thanks for the offer!
Lets be honest, its epic.
Hello Paul, do you know by chance if I do upgrade to the same setup as yours do I need to do any type of ecu mapping or its just plug and play ? Thx
Hi Bane, you don't 'need' to. I ran mine for a year or so, it pops a lot but was ok. I then added the rapid bike evo and dyno'd it. Much smoother now.
@@Paul-rt3ny O ok, I understand. Did you need to take it to the shop or you did by yourself ? I mean adding rapid bike evo ....
@@MrBanex25 I took it in to a shop, they did the rapid bike and dyno at the same time. Very happy with it.
@@Paul-rt3ny Thank you for video and info. Did they do any adjustments at dyno ?
@@Paul-rt3ny Hey Paul again, what did you do with servo valve on catalytic ? Did you need to add servo eliminator ?
Kids, hold daddy’s beer... now stand back !
Hi . What was the akraprovic header called. I want to buy one so need the spec. Cheers

hey did you just tie strap the exhaust valve cable with cable protector on it that comes with the header??
Hi, yes. The header unit comes with a cap if I remember rightly. Just screwed on and cable tied out of sight. No issues at all
Struggled to ztart? Do you use a battery tender?
Nope, every Ducati I've had takes 3 or 4 turns before it will start from cold. The dealers tell me it's just the way they are...
Did you remove the DB silencer or no?
Yes the short Termi doesn't have a db killer

There is nothing to remove
was this a straight fit?

Do you know what kind of mod was done to the factory silencer?
Yes they drilled out the rivets and slipped the carbon cover off and welded a larger diameter inlet pipe on
is that a low seat custom?
No it's the standard seat
Is this a full system?
Yes its akra downpipes & the stock termi slip on. Its since been chipped and dyno tuned. Runs like a dream...

Yep :-) It's even better now I fitted the Rapid bike Evo and had it dyno tuned
way too loud
