      @@TXLorenzo A lot of people just want a reliable bike to commute on and get from A to B, without the frills. About the cheapest mode of transport for all vehicles is a 125 cc scooter. Can flow with the traffic and just needs a provisional licence to ride. Some pass their bike test and get a bike like the Enfield. Leave the gizmo stuff for the guys who bike for bikes sake, and more so can afford it.

    Agree with all your picks. Royal Enfield does make some great looking bikes for the Money. Then you have a $50,000 Harley on the other end. Buy a Honda Gold Wing and save $20,000. Some of these manufacturers are still living in COVID ERA pricing where everyone paid over MSRP.. Today people asking where is my DISCOUNT. No one paying Msrp. Prices go up like a Rocket but drop like a feather. With high interest rates, tighter money, wait for the discounts. During covid you felt rich with all the cash thrown at you. All the money printing caused inflation. Inflation is still too high and no one feels rich anymore. Not $50,000 rich for a motorcycle which is a depreciating liability. That’s a down payment for an asset, a house.

    Why do British channels report all prices in pounds (GBP)? I understand it is their local currency, but I think they aim at a wider audience than just national. English is the international language afterall.

      Because its the sale price in the UK and the £ is the currency of the UK. As others have pointed out prices vary from country to country so you have to have a constant, which is UK prices in UK pounds. Simple.

    The KTM is misleading. It's not out of the factory so if you throw aftermarket bits at any bike (like the KTM) then the price can rocket.

    How about the Lotus C-01? I’m not sure about the price but it’s a pretty crazy looking bike

    • @ianmacfarlane1241
      @ianmacfarlane1241 Год назад

      Because it's not made by one of the 15 biggest motorcycle manufacturers in the world.
      That's not to say that the list IS the top 15, but the Lotus is nowhere near a big manufacturer.

    Jaysus..... I think your final point nailed it, 4 top quality bikes in their own right, or one mind numbingly ugly bike? A spare grand buys a lot of guiness also.....
