If you don’t reflash the ECU, the popping sound which is actually missfire, part of it in the intake will eventually dammage the map sensors and the bike will run horrible( I have a 2014 pikes peak, ran into the dame problems, the popping sound will become louder and more frequent and mess up the sensors, Rexxer does a great job on the ECU)
Sounds awesome did the same to my enduro 1200 with the Akraprovic plus I added rapid bike an the quick shifter and dyno tune that stopped popping goes hard enjoy the bike good video
Good one man! I went exactly the same path on my 1200s DVT in the last 2 years - First got myself a Termi slip-on (regret doing that) and then the Akrapovic FS! Absolute character after that!
Did a similar conversion on mine recently with the Leo Vince decat and end-pipe kit, with similar sound results. I love the sound, (especially from the rider's seat) but I think it's more like that gruff, functional bellow of a Veyron or new Ford GT than something musical like a Ferrari or sweetly bassy like a two valve Duc.
I have the Akra can and Leo Vinci mid pipe- no map installed, although I have the RB waiting patiently in the box. I personally think my bike needs a tune after this exhaust setup was installed. Glad you’re liking your setup.
Beautiful sound =) Actually, I would do the mapping even if it is for a casual use. The map is not only for perform, it's for better consumption and fuel mix. With the warranty it would be even better with the maps since it is the oficial Akra for this bike. With no mapping, they could says that "without the map the bike suffered more than it should be"
Next time try Bridgestone S22. I immediately took stock tires off and sold it out. Watching you moving ass aside prior to braking during approaching turns makes me write this tire comment for you

can it be used with pillion pegs ? By the way there is something wrong with the mapping as its back fires very badly. Every quickshift sounds like the bike exploding like a two stroke. Good sounding exhaust but definitely needs mapping.

Akrapovic already did dyno testing and claims power +4.4 kW (5.9hp) at 3250 rpm; torque +13.3 Nm (9.8 lb-ft) at 3250 rpm. If in the future I do a Rapidbike or other type of fuel map upgrade, I will dyno then.
The original is better sound! Put that akrapovic in bmw S1000rr, M1000rr 2021 or Honda cbr 1000 rr fireblade sp 2020 and new 2021. Than you will see the difference not that bike 😂😂😂

Music to my ears! I did the full termi with map update. Changed the whole bike. Shop weighted the cat, 14.8lbs... enjoy! She's a beauty!

How did you remap with the Leo so that you didn’t get a code?

It is too loud for me. Maybe with the baffles in. I would really like the weight savings.

You have to do a flash. At least a base tune for an exhaust. It’s so bad for the motor if you don’t.
