OTOH Skal said that the game is fun to play; well, as long as you can handle VR.
Skall there's an option in the game that allows you to change two handed modes. I'd recommend messing around with that and seeing if it makes it more comfortable. Also I'd love to see more of this game.
Not that it would prevent from hurting yourself with the pointy ends, but you should have wielding the double bladed staff with the left hand forward, like a spear or a quarterstaff.

I’m trying to build fantasy bow, straight medium length, equal on four sides (if that makes sense) so it doesn’t have a front or back or up and down. Idea is after shooting arrows and been run down, I have a weapon in my hands. I was thinking a blade on each end and using it like a quarter staff as you mentioned. Obviously the idea needs a lot of development. I’ve made one prototype out of poly pipe and I’m about to start on the second after a critical failure. Just wanted to say thanks as your comments on the two headed spear go a long way.

I hate that he didn't notice at 12:58 his stray slash catches a man in the head, who was trying to get back up off the ground. Talk about bad luck and good timing.
Skall, would it be reasonable to use the butt end of something like the Japanese naginata? Like say you have it before you like a bo staff and use your non-dominant hand to strike with the blunt end and then draw it back as your dominant hand brings the blade down in a slashing sort of strike? Or is that too cumbersome a move to be useful when you have the advantage of reach? I'm thinking in terms of using the blunt end on the shin or knees and then the blade on the head/neck/torso.
It’s funny I play a lot of vr games myself and I actually play blades and sorcery , and I thought man this would be cool if it was real and this is how I got into hema :D

To address one of the issues with two-handed weapons in VR, why not hold a broomstick or other stick-like object as well as the VR Controllers? Doesn't the Vive have holes in the top of them?
The second spearhead is fletching lol. Are the low framerate parts where you're slowing it down in post? Seems kind of redundant, I get that you're showing off that you're not using the in-game slow motion but maybe a better way would be to show it fullspeed and then the slowed down footage directly after the relevant clip, like an instant replay.
Can you hold the double spear so that both thumbs face the same direction and then use the blades in a rowing fashion, utilizing elbow thrusts and stabs and keeping enemies on your sides, blocking the middle with the center part of the shaft? Throwing it is a terrible idea BTW, what's stopping the second blade from taking your thumb?

If you follow through sufficiently with heavy weapons, you should be able to break their parry. You have nearly infinite strength in this to counteract the game's inability to stop your hands in real life, so if you just mine past the parry, you should swing right through it
