It's that time of year again! Sick Week 2024 is off to a cracker of a start! Day 0 is test and tune/tech so not everyone made a pass but those who did got us excited! Possibly the most exciting is Jeff Lutz coming back and ripping off 2 low 6's! The passes weren't even clean so we're hoping to see some 5's this week! The variety of cars, the level of competition, and tropical Florida is a recipe for the ultimate drag and drive experience and we cannot wait to see what the rest of the week brings!

Hey Fred the position you were standing in while you were showing the down track shots of the car crossing the finish line and showing the time and mph was completely obstructed by a massive glare on the time board in the right lane and of course in most cases when you repeated the time and mph of the car was drowned out by other cars preparing to make their pass and doing their burnouts so most of the time we could hardly hear you and when you tried to show the time of the car in the right lane we couldn't see it because of the glare from the lights in the pits so that is something to work on for next time when they come back to Orlando but otherwise I enjoyed the video just like usual when I'm watching any drag racing videos that you guys put out and when you're on the road covering the drag and drive events makes things that much better because we get a video every day for a week and most of them are 30+minutes long which is a pleasure in itself and then after I watch 1320s video of the day during the event I go and watch every other RUclipsr's video of the day during the event and I don't need to watch anything else

He mentioned in an interview with hot rod awhile back that every thing he has learned 1/8 mile racing and getting a car out of the hole was going to hurt some feelings whenever he went 1/4 mile racing again. Im sure he’ll be laying down some numbers as the week goes on.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in South Florida. I grew up in an area that I could see all the space shuttle launches from my back yard there is nothing more exciting as a kid to watch that live! Especially the night launches it felt like you could watch them for 30 mins. Just 1 of the many many reasons I love FREEDOM FLORIDA!

Tom is hosting the event. Cleet has the platform to stream it. Why not use it? Racing cost a lot of money. Of course they have to make money. You get great coverage in return and it’s not like they are charging an unreasonable amount.

Sick Week is amazing, so happy your covering it so those of us without a race car or a friend with a race car or the spare time to see it in person.
That would have been a 5 second pass, but he traveled 1520 feet to cover a 1320ft pass.
You know you had to drive it when you almost cross the centerline, and almost get the wall on the same pass.
I bought tickets I’ve wanted to go for a couple years now I can’t believe I’m actually going to be seeing this in person Thursday. Love the videos can’t wait to watch em all

I got to see that Durango out here in California. They did a drag and drive event and ran at a track fairly close to me (still about an hour away.) saw them rolling on the street.
