That is very true. I think only one man approached me and every other time I was told by someone else. I don't think I'm intimidating or mean; I'm just introverted and in my own world. Anywho, I had three close guy friends (who think that they are so sly about hiding their feelings) and each of them were so fearful of rejection. Finally when they did go for it, two of them told the woman that, if she didn't say yes, then he couldn't be her friend anymore. I thought that was a dirty move for how much she wanted to make others happy: "I can't be friends with you because you're just so awesome and I'm telling you this to influence your decision." One went as far as insulting her and refusing to speak with their mutual friends. I'm not friends with that one anymore, although it is still sad.

It's not like we're in caveman days anymore, so what's the real problem? Ive long had a theory that in modern society the only real reason a woman needs a man anymore is for protection from other men. You can want a man. That's different than ''needing'' though. And that is what love really is. It's wanting a person, not needing them. Who wants someone around because they ''need'' you? It's a crap feeling.
