All of this is so true. Especially because my boyfriend never did anything physical or made any move and held off on that and I got so frustrated! It could be that he's transitioning from one type of lifestyle to another to better himself for the person he's interested in - but his friends are from the old lifestyle. (For example: used to be a party guy who went out drinking with buddies - but now is more career focused but doesn't have those career focused friends, only the drinking buddies. So he doesn't want to introduce the girl to the drinking buddies and get the wrong impression.) My husband did this with me except it was more his friends from school drifted into the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol and he didn't - but he still had a heart for his friends even though he limited his interactions for times when they showed they were trying to move beyond it. He also withheld family member interactions with me too because he came from a very broken home and his family members... well... they will take advantage of you if they can find a way. He protected me from them. After his passing I saw all of it. They even put up a gofundme for myself and our child - but I have not seen a penny of what they raised and it's been 4 years since he passed.... so, yeah... there's that.

Lol!! This is making me laugh, bc it is so true. When we were hanging out, in the “getting to know each other” phase, my bf squirmed around, and said things like “umm...so...you are really interesting” I was like “yes, I AM interesting....and fun too!” He smiled and goes, “yeah, you are, and I really enjoy spending time with you”, I go “thanks, I am pretty awesome!” He says, “yeah, so umm....”, I am vibing that he wants to ask me something serious, so I say “Are you trying to ask me something?” He goes, “umm yeah...I just umm, would you want to be with me?” I look at him, and go “I would be agreeable to that”. I've always thought that not wanting to introduce you to the friends means they will let on that he has a relationship already. I was told by several guys that I wouldn't like their friends., so I couldn't meet them. I truly viewed it as having something to hide.
Believe me I wouldn't want my girlfriend to meet any member of my extended family. They hate me and I hate them. I don't even want to be anywhere near them. My dad is the black sheep of the family and I am guilty by association. Believe me she would be better off not knowing my family.

I'm in a new relationship, and having a safe space to be able to communicate so that any misunderstandings are minimized is critically important. I'm very impressed with this video. It gave me peace of mind when it cast not being introduced to family and friends in a good light. Six years ago, I was in a new relationship with a man who I was very much in love with, but his health rapidly declined and he passed away within ten months. The more I reflect on that relationship; the more I am convinced that it was the most meaningful romantic relationship I ever had. I knew that it was real and he was what I always wanted. Despite what a few people thought, I sensed that this man was committed to me in his heart. I didn't feel that he was ashamed of me. He was truly my friend and he would have helped me to become the best, most Christian woman I could be. He was honest, loyal and patient enough to reach me. Matt! You totally missed #4! While some of that could be true, in my experience guys don't bring a gal they like around their friends early on because they don't want competition! They don't want to risk her falling for one of his guy friends, or being compared unfavorably in any measure to one of his buds.

I find that every guy I meet or try to talk to, they act weird and very awkward to the point that they start talking and get seemingly nervous and so distracted that they start talking with someone else around that they know about something you just told them about. I agree on everything you're saying, but honestly, I don't think only men's brain is constructed like that, but all beings' brains who are capable of thinking should be the same way. I am a woman, and I think exactly like men do. I don't believe in multitasking. They're just deviding your attention to different places allowing you to screw up everything you do successfully. i also like the idea of "overs" and "unders" u presented in this video. i tend to guage my "success" of a date on intrigue as well. it's not wholly on purpose, but i find that the more deep into myself i present myself on a date, the more fascinating dudes find me. this comes naturally to me, of course, but it is equally something i look for in a guy. if i'm on a date and he's got some sort of "under" going on with himself naturally as well, i'm pretty much interested. i tend to be attracted to mysterious/more quiet dudes. it's just that pull thing that they've got goin on. it's like the more i talk to them, the more i wanna know yet everything unravels slowly and it's just such a beautiful thing to engage in when it's mutual.

Would love to hear your take on couples living together before marriage. My daughter is considering moving in with her boyfriend next year and my husband and against this. They have been together two years, my daughter is stable in her career and doing well financially and her boyfriend while he has a college degree is not stable in his career (he is four years older than she is). They plan to marry and my daughter says they want to save. She knows that my husband and I will help financially with a wedding so this is not a good reason. I think this decision is more beneficial to him than her.

Sometimes people come together and help eachother in different ways that families can't see. Not everyone is always super stable all the time but it doesn't mean they don't deserve love, or that they can't give love and support in other ways or the best they can. Maybe moving in together would help her as well.

It could be that he's transitioning from one type of lifestyle to another to better himself for the person he's interested in - but his friends are from the old lifestyle. (For example: used to be a party guy who went out drinking with buddies - but now is more career focused but doesn't have those career focused friends, only the drinking buddies. So he doesn't want to introduce the girl to the drinking buddies and get the wrong impression.)
My husband did this with me except it was more his friends from school drifted into the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol and he didn't - but he still had a heart for his friends even though he limited his interactions for times when they showed they were trying to move beyond it. He also withheld family member interactions with me too because he came from a very broken home and his family members... well... they will take advantage of you if they can find a way. He protected me from them. After his passing I saw all of it. They even put up a gofundme for myself and our child - but I have not seen a penny of what they raised and it's been 4 years since he passed.... so, yeah... there's that.

When people talk about "loving bombing" being signs that the guy is really in love with you - "love bombing" I mean calling all the time, showering with compliments etc, it reminds more about Narcissists chasing his victim, not the guy in love! I've always thought that not wanting to introduce you to the friends means they will let on that he has a relationship already. I was told by several guys that I wouldn't like their friends., so I couldn't meet them. I truly viewed it as having something to hide.
Believe me I wouldn't want my girlfriend to meet any member of my extended family. They hate me and I hate them. I don't even want to be anywhere near them. My dad is the black sheep of the family and I am guilty by association. Believe me she would be better off not knowing my family.

Six years ago, I was in a new relationship with a man who I was very much in love with, but his health rapidly declined and he passed away within ten months. The more I reflect on that relationship; the more I am convinced that it was the most meaningful romantic relationship I ever had. I knew that it was real and he was what I always wanted. Despite what a few people thought, I sensed that this man was committed to me in his heart. I didn't feel that he was ashamed of me. He was truly my friend and he would have helped me to become the best, most Christian woman I could be. He was honest, loyal and patient enough to reach me. Thank you for the "ackward" "opposite action" sign descriptions. I find that every guy I meet or try to talk to, they act weird and very awkward to the point that they start talking and get seemingly nervous and so distracted that they start talking with someone else around that they know about something you just told them about. It seems so rude to me. But, they will follow me or try to come back and draw up another conversation. Seems so weird and crazy.

Would love to hear your take on couples living together before marriage. My daughter is considering moving in with her boyfriend next year and my husband and against this. They have been together two years, my daughter is stable in her career and doing well financially and her boyfriend while he has a college degree is not stable in his career (he is four years older than she is). They plan to marry and my daughter says they want to save. She knows that my husband and I will help financially with a wedding so this is not a good reason. I think this decision is more beneficial to him than her.

Sometimes people come together and help eachother in different ways that families can't see. Wow, the 4th one really says so much! I knew my man and I were falling in love before this video lol. But I couldn't understand why he wasn't super eager and even nervous to for me to meet family/friends. But super eager to meet mine! I didn't think of it in this way. I'm 25, my longest relationship was over 2 years, was my first love. I've been with current boyfriend for just over 5 months now. But it feels like a lifetime, in the best possible way. I never knew that, that feeling, that feeling of being completely content, comfortable and yet still have butterflies existed as strongly as it does. I have met the man I will marry. And I am so blessed. Kind, humble, protective, understanding, considerate, patient, very chivalrous. I'm very shy, so he has this way of pushing me yet comforting me through it. Respectful, goal and family oriented, gets along with my family so well and loves what I find to be embarrassing or awkward traits of mine and therefore making me love them too. For all the women out there, they do exist! The biggest thing though is you have to realize that physical attraction can grow. My first date with my bf I wasn't really that into him lol. But I figured another date wouldn't hurt, and then I fell in love. I'm dating a man, a man who does everything in his power to court me and to make me smile and feel supported. It does exist ladies.
