great video im using the 3D at my shop resto repaints & small insurance jobs the 3D is great when used properly pads polish etc...
alot of guys still use 3M Farecla & Juice polishes another thats come about last few years is Cartec...
what ive found with polishes it depends on the paint you use (brand wise Glasurit PPG Protec Debeer etc and if you bake jobs or use air dry clears or HS or MS applications as they seem to work alittle different with the different ways paints applied dried etc
new to your channel well done

Yes I have used Farecla and Juice previously but I find the 3D system to be far quicker with better lasting results (and cleaner for the matter too)
I did notice the 3D was a little harder to use on clear that only had a couple weeks to air dry, but a month old clear it polished much better.
Glad you’re enjoying the channel, will have new content coming soon 🙏🏼

To start in this journey you must know first of all which clears are for restoration jobs and which for refinishing jobs put everything in line so can polish as you like all materials are good but for different kind of jobs

It looks awesome as, I take it you used acrylic seeing you are polishing it after a good cut back.
The grey in the tray reminds me of the colour flek they used in the 70s & 80s.

2k clear over base, high solids clear.
I flattened it back to remove the nibs and small amounts of orange peel.
Look back a few weeks and you’ll see it straight after it was paint in the off the gun finish.

@@TheRestoShed ok kool as, I was just finishing watching the polishing lol.
      2k clear is really good.
I prefer Acrylic over 2pak, never seen a base coat done with 2k clear looks excellent.
I learnt in the 70s & 80s, smoother cut paper nowadays, we finished off the cut back with 1200, Although I have used finer since then.

As for the tray colour that is how they came from factory in the HQs. I had that colour matched to some original samples of the VynaCoat Grey and do it all again in clear over base 2k.

I’ll have some acrylic refinishing coming up with my HZ Kingswood rebuild.

Where do you buy 3D from in Adelaide looking at getting some to give my car a final polish up

Can’t help you with a supplier in Adelaide sorry, I ordered through Autolac Industries as they also stocked Pure Wax products and saved on multiple postage costs.

That Ute bed looks so mint mate the grey pops against the yellow. Can’t wait to see what interior you choose for it

Thanks mate, there was a lot of hours getting that tray the way you see it now, lots of rust repairs and hours upon hours of sanding…
Interior will be the factory dark brown, so very contrasting between the yellow and grey.

How did you do the sanding up to 3000 grit before polishing? I was do sanding over air dry 2k clear and had trouble with pig tails. the air dry debeer seems very hard??? Looks amazing BTW. Thanks for sharing
