Toujours Pret. I was in L Troop from 72 -72. My Troop Commanders were 1st Lt. Turpin, then Captain Harmless. Both were good guys who played the Army game well but, who also knew how to have a hell of a good time. Rocco was your K Troop First Sgt. Your CO, Podowski (?), was a real dumb ass. He'd gotten a battlefield commission in 'Nam but, I recall that he lost it and was demoted to Platoon Sergeant because of some major fuckup or other. Did you know that crazy fucker, Dykstra? We came from the same town in Iowa. Squadron Commander, Lt. Colonel Hall, who arrived after "White Charger" left - Lt. Colonel Landau - was the world's biggest prick. Colonel Landau was one cool MF. I smoked some of the world's finest hash, drank some of the world's best bier (Weizen and Pils), and screwed a number of good-looking German girls with huge tits. Good times. Graf was a hell hole.
