Ghostly Goings on at 'Haunted' Barracks 31.10.13

It's Halloween and things appear to have been going 'bump in the night' in Germany!
Members of the Anglo-German Paderborn Paranormal Group are trying to prove that people haven't been imagining things after reports of strange encounters at a British barracks.
In the 1920s Dempsey Barracks - now home to the Queen's Dragoon Guards - was a camp for six and a half thousand war-displaced children. It's thought some died there and may not have quite gone away.
Ghostly accounts include being push aside at the bottom of stairs, strange sounds in the night and an attic that people refuse to enter on their own.
Adam Harding, an ex Queen's Dragoon Guard, said: "Our job is to try and capture that on audio on still cameras, on video so that we can show that to people that this happened. Explaining what it is is a whole different ball game and we actually don't claim to know what it is."
In tonight's report the investigators visit a building in the barracks where there have been most reports of apparent paranormal activity.

I was stationed in Dempsey Barracks from 1965 - 1972. The haunted areas were alleged to have been in the attic and cellar of the Regimental Cookhouse, this was of a German soldier. In the officers mess one of our officers sadly committed suicide. A Staff Sergeant who had a room above the cookhouse where an entity would switch off the lights and put any cigarettes he left in an ashtray. The ghost of the soldier appeared to have half his face blown away. It was said that the local Gestapo had their interrogation centre in the cellar of the cookhouse. Just before I joined I heard that a soldier saw something that terrified him so much, he was sent to the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, Southampton, which was still in operation, and was later discharged as no longer being mentally unfit for military service. There were other accounts, but I think that after a good session in the Battery Bar, anything could happen.

The Something Awful Forums tells of a story from Dempsey. Multiple youtube users tell of the story of Humper Monkey. It’s a 3 hour long very detailed story. Either it happened or someone is really good at telling stories.I personally like listening to RUclips user Chass’s version of the story. Suggest looking into it. Might provide some hints as to what your experiencing.

Been there done that the attic above the cookhouse had a bad reputation for spooky goings on slept up there a few time while on a course nothing happened I know the STOREY of the figure at the end of the Bed spooking two men of 36 Bty I was in next room also the storey of the wrecked room in 36 when some played with the glass on a board game more the likely the only spirit is what they drank (just saying very unlikely)
