- What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we're at Bulford Military Camp, which is one of the main locations of the Royal Military Police, who in this case were under the impression, that I cannot film in public, but yes everyone, join us today.
What is the purpose of your filming? And what do you think you are auditing exactly?
I was an army brat and then served in the army and this brings back really nice memories for me. My dad was a tank engineer so the tank park was our playground. Many years ago I freaked my daughter out when we were parked in a lay by along Hadrian wall. Suddenly I said wow a tanks coming.... She thought I was going mental until a minute later a tank rolled by and then I said another one is coming ....and it did. She couldn't work out how I knew but you can feel the vibration on the road long before they come.
I liked the cop, he sounded a bit like the comedian Hugh Dennis. Very diplomatic and extremely likeable. Credit to the force.
He's not a cop, he's a PCSO
It’s the Royal Ghurkas regiment , MP . But idiots like u and bot with his camera don’t respect him, this bloke doesn’t even realise that his regime is the most respected and toughest in the British army. But this clown thinks he’s above him.
I served for years in the British Army, I do not recognise it now! Officially we do not have enough forces to be a standing Army, we now have a militia. PS Them wagons are Warrior APC's (armoured personnel carriers). I know Bulford well, lived there for a bit.
It’s strange and that’s interesting to know. Thanks for your service, it seems to have changed a bit from the people I know who have served
Four years? A bit rubbish were you?
@@HumansAreShitFactories Hi shill, nudge unit, 77Bde. How's the software, still shit?
They’re not armoured personal carries they’re infantry fighting vehicles 🫣
Standards are extremely poor. Served 9 years aswel, ex infantry. Came out with no headdress, hand in his pocket, and so many other wrong doings.
At the end of the day your going to a military base with a camera looking for a reaction that hardly happens there security is heightened so of course there gonna be suspicious
No, I’m going to a military police station, to exercise my rights, and entertain people, not everyday you see a military police station is it. I bet most people have never seen one, so what’s the problem?

In Denmark tanks can not drive on public highways. They are transported by flatbeds or in special cases always have and escort of military police. The reason is that in the 60 we had some terrible accidents happen. I was 10 when I witnessed a friend of mine he was 9 got hit by a tank, in a crossover. The only reason I didn't got hit was my mother grabbed me by the neck and got me back. I was traumatised for years. It was not the only accident though, but most talked about.
That would make more sense if they did that here, although when you see them on motorways and major roads they are on flatbeds
Same here bud. I was at one time a driver of a Scimitar, gunner and Commander. Then progressed to Gunnery Instructor for Warrior and Scimitar. Then just for the sake of it a Driving Instructor for the Warrior. was around both vehicles a long time.
That must have been horrible to witness; sorry to hear about your friend. My Dad and I were lucky to get a ride in an Alvis Saracen. He worked as a photographer at the base (for media and press releases) and I stayed one weekend while he was lucky enough to get a go at driving one with me as a passenger. It was so loud inside. I think the reason they were used in Northern Ireland is because they were safer around town and they didn't use tracks. South Africa still use the Saracens too.
Why is it that security staff have such poor English language ability?
Why is it that the British have poor English language ability?
Say again!

I'm not certain which, but some of the roads around the site where the houses are, are military roads. If you are on Military property, and asked to ID yourself, and don't you can be detained.
If there were signs at the main entrance saying no filming/photography quoting the Official Secrets Act, even if on a public rd, then you would be breaking the law, the signs only have to be at the main entrance, and you could end up in the Military Police cells.
@Kens UK Adventures If you read my reply in full, you would have noted I mentioned the Official Secrets Act, Section 1 of the Official Secrets Act 1911 makes it an offence for any person for any purpose prejudicial to the safety or interests of the state to approach, inspect or be in the neighbourhood of a 'prohibited place' or to make or otherwise obtain a sketch (a term which encompasses a photograph) which might be directly or indirectly useful to a potential enemy. All Government Communications Headquarters sites are prohibited places for the purposes of the Act.
@Kens UK Adventures Sorry, but you are wrong the Act is clearly worded in the affirmative, i.e. the Photography is illegal, but there has to be signs posted to that effect, otherwise that Section of the Act cannot be enforced.
@Ubiquitous Ubiquitous Please read Section 3 of the 1911 Official Secrets Act.

The English language skills of the "British" Army are awful.
To be fair. the English language skills of the "British" are awful.
Thats because ‘British’ people do not want to join the Army anymore…
Why
Have you served yourself?
Lots of people here making the connection between civilian police and military police, which is absurd. Not even remotely the same thing. Without looking at the legislation of the UK it’s a military establishment not a post office, police station or other government establishment. You would think that even if could see it, should you be filming and distributing anything to do with your armed forces for the world to see? Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Your claimed freedom to film this is also your weakness, to be exploited by others. Regardless of how innocuous the footage is, loose lips sink ships. Think about that.

Great video, this brings back memory's my old camp from 2000 to 2007, 19 tanks, my old house was where the court martial centre is now 👍
Up to 15 minutes in a new claim that you have seen tanks. This is not the case. The vehicles that you announce to be tanks are actually Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) or Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs).
These vehicles are intended to transport soldiers (about 7 soldiers, plus driver and vehicle gunner) on patrol or to a combat area. For IFVs in particular, they also provide supporting fire with the mounted machine gun.
These vehicles are not built to be, nor intended to be used as tanks.
I’m not an expert on the military, and yes I know that now, I’ve known for a while now
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA tonk still great tho
Surely a simple "Bugger off, Halfwit!" should have sufficed to make the "soldier" go away, but NO...... they've gotta act silly and pretend they have a say over the public...
They do
The reason the RMP / Police / Army etc etc have problems with you doing this is that you could be anybody, you could be taking videos / pictures doumenting the locations of cameras, which could aid in an attack. As the officer said, youre allowed to record public areas, but military property is private land. Therefore technically youre breaking the law by recording the camps and sticking your camera through the fence. At the end of the day from this video I could quite easily plan an attack on the RMP base if there was something of interest to me in there from your video, from the front and the left side I can easily see where all the cars are, all the windows, doors and cameras. This is why people come at your saying go away, you could be endangering their lives.
I get what youre doing, trying to get attention to make videos like this, but try to understand that these areas are very sensitive and people who stand out doing suspicious activities are instantly picked up as either a threat or a person of interest.
And for fuck sake stop taking pictures of soldiers and questioning them and laying it down to them when they ask you to stop, again its suspicious and you can get somebody killed by doing this.
@Ubiquitous Ubiquitous can’t just say that then leave go on - elaborate

Cop> Filming in a public place is legal unless your looking into private property
Reply> You cant LOOK INTO, only LOOK TOWARD, light reflects from an object and moves to the camera, the camera doesn't move to the object. LOOK TOWARD not LOOK INTO.
@Kens UK Adventures Yes you do look silly trying to be clever.
Explain the physics of LOOKING INTO, and how that INVADES PRIVACY.
Your eyes made contact with the glass did they? smashing though the window? entering INTO thus invading privacy?
Or did the light reflect off the content inside the window, then pass out through the window and across the public space and into the eye. So was OUTSIDE when seen.
Thus why people when they are standing on public property say, you can trespass my eyes. No one looks INTO anything, eyes are not LIDAR.
Your not allowed to under the official secrets act meaning you clearly not allowed to film outside of them no matter if your on public space. That RMP soldier was doing his duty and outside of the barracks there are signs stating not to record the inside of the base. Basically you were in the wrong.
Of course you are. That section of the official secrets act was repealed
So you’re wrong
Look it up on legislation.gov.uk
And I wasn’t inside the base, my camera doesn’t automatically get transported inside, it’s still on the outside, it’s just capturing what’s inside
You are wrong. You have no authority to create disclosed information no matter if you are on public road or not. The official secrets act is automatically placed on anyone no matter civilian or not and is still up to date today. What you are saying is absolute nonsense. Disclosure is still covered in the legislation which inturn means you are yet again in the wrong.
Next time a member of plod activates their body worn camera - ask them if they have anything they would like to tell you? And wait. Then ask about their policy.

Where can I take photographs?
everyone has the right to photograph in a public space,
you can however take photos of private property, ie shopping centre, if you are standing on the public highway. The exceptions to these are military institutions and some national/royal spaces. As Bulford lays in the Salisbury Military training Area the military police, Regt Police or officer/snco can insist you stop filming in the area.
