Spot on professional response from this police constable, not sure why she would ask for his name, but her suspicions were expected. She did well to confirm that there were no worries or crimes to report

Thanks for covering this Station again, I know Torbs did a visit as well. Although that plaque on the wall says opened in 1996 I can say for certain that it is the original building which was probably built in the 1920-1930 period. I can tell by the chimney's, they are original and have been recently capped probably during the refurbishment in 1996. Another reason I can say that for certain is because I have many memories of being hauled into the place in the 1970's, it very much looks the same. There was an old local copper who relished seeing me brought in so he could inflict his sarcasm, torture and interrogation methods on me! Of course in those days it was only a civilian station, the MP'S were at that time stationed elsewhere on the camp.
@ubiquitousubiquitous3843 Richmond Road, the main road through Catterick is maintainable at Public expense, North Yorkshire, and the RMP only have powers over service personnel and those subject to service discipline under the Armed Forces Act 2006
I wonder should an emergency arise can the public rely on support and assistance from the RMP even if no military personnel or vehicles are involved but would they intervene in a dispute, or a breach of peace or a vehicle breakdown in a dangerous place etc ?
RMP do have authority over "Civis" if they are on military property. I used the old "by laws" a few times aginst civi's as well - and the powers that be went into a flap (double whamey). Just like a self appointed auditor w***** you have to know your rights.
TGA gets his introduction wrong again, the entire area is a military base, this is why its a garrison, the RMP can cover all of that area (the map is on the bye laws for Catterick Garrison), you can be removed totally from the garrison (that included by the RMP) and yes, the same legislation covers filming in those area's as it does to individual military establishments. Good job the law is changing though eh! Means flying your drone will have more consequences near any military establishment, including fines, confiscation, removal of the person and their vehicle, even prison.
The RMP don’t have powers over civilians regardless, it’s military personnel and civilians subject to military discipline (military families, official visitors and MoD contractors)
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA Again you are wrong, whilst in the garrison, which is a military base, they do have powers to remove you from that area, if you don't believe me, go read the bye laws, they can also detain you whilst waiting for the police to turn up, they have more powers than you think on military land/bases, which you were on.

I would like to know what the Military's opinions generally are about the RMP, as I've normally heard a lot of negativity but mostly they seem quite cordial and professional apart from Bulford
@@TheGwentAuditorTGAAs a point of interest, the RMP, on military sites are the police. Depends where you are. Cyprus for example they would be out in the local town. They see us soldiers kicking off they step in, more to protect an international incident. More to it it course, but you get my drift.

To all police officers (Stasi) it really is that simple. No ego, no agenda, just some simple questions to make sure you are ok!
What a stupid thing to say
I used to be an RMP at Catterick in 1977 -78
that police lady was spot on , that`s how it should be done respect to her .she should be at the training centra for new copper`s

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the RMP not have to use like citizens arrest and all that since they have no jursidiction?
