CRF300L FRAME GUARDS - ACERBIS
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 21 дек 2023
- The Honda CRF300L has a very thin paint on its frame and the part which you are constantly rubbing your legs against will easily get peeled off! Just take a look at mine, after just 5000km I'm down to the bear metal.
The frame protectors I have installed are from Acerbic and offer an additional rubberised section for better grip.

Thanks for checking it out! Would love to hear your feedback!
Nice cinematography, especially for a new RUclipsr.
I don’t know how I feel about rubber bands holding on parts on the bike but we’ll see how that holds up overtime I guess .
Thanks for the nice comment! Glad to see that the effort has been noticed 😁!
Indeed a few people have mentioned that it’s a good idea to use zip ties instead.
Just putting mine on now. Ordered after watching you. Watching again. Your making fitting easy!
Nice, Alex! Glad to hear the video was helpful!
I use the same frame guards since 6000km. they are perfect. Only the O-Rings dont last, they crack from sunlight and tension. I replaced all to zip ties.
Thanks for your input!
Good to know about the orings!
Looks great! Nice upgrade!
Thanks a lot, Gary!
Great video , as usual.
They look way better than the cheap ones I have on my bike from Amazon. These work good in theory , but sand and will get behind them and scratch up the frame. Out of sight , out of mind. 🙈
Thanks, Eric!
Haha I like the idea of out of sight, out of mind 😂!
Hi! just put them on my bike. Easy after u showed how. I didn't know they had the brake cylinder guard as well. Now, the one I ordered from China has no use. I like the acerbis better all one piece ..Great vid,!
Sucesso!!
Great vidio. My bike is new. Don't want those marks on my frame. Ordered some today.. Only 100 Aussie dollars. Also, like the colour choice u made more than the red
Thanks again, you're making my choices easy, mate!
Hi Alex! Nice to see you here in the comments!
Good that you caught this in time and can install it while your bike still new. As you can see on mine, a lot of the paint is already gone.
Great explanation! Those o-rings are nice, I've seen people use zip-ties instead.
The orings are indeed very handy. I’d keep the zip ties as a spare option in case the orings snap. The kit comes with 2 spare orings by the way.
Thanks for the comment, Russel!
I've had them on my CRF300L for a season and they perform great, apart from the O-rings. They just dissolve after a few months of riding, depending on how much sun, mud and rain you're riding in. YOu will have to keep changing the O-rings for every serious trip, otherwise the protectors will just fall off the bike. Wish they had a more durable solution for that.
Good to know! A few subscribers have also mentioned that and they switched to zip ties instead of o-rings.
@@RoiaMoto That's good to hear, I was thinking about that, but wasnt sure if it was a good idea. Ill try it now!
Make sure you pull the swing arm bolt and grease it. Mine was installed with no grease.
Thanks for the hint! Haven’t done that yet.
Thanks as always for watching, guys! I also have some extra content on the website!

I was going to buy that frame guard but I have an aluminum rear Master brake cylinder protector in the way. Ended up buying the cheaper plastic frame protector on eBay, because I had to trim to fit around aluminum rear Master brake protector.
Thanks for sharing your set up, James!
Do you like the the aluminium protectors?
@@RoiaMoto Aesthetically it looks a lot cooler. It wraps around and protects pretty well.
Descontinuou o canal Skiva?
Olá amigo. O canal Skiva? teve vídeo semana passada ;)
What kind of Boots are you using to get this worn down so much?
Hi Dino,
Now im
Mostly with the SG22 and before O’Neil(don’t remember the model).
Do you also have a CRF300L?
To be honest, I don’t think it’s the boot. The paint starting coming off days after I bought it.
Cheers
@@RoiaMoto So, you have used a boot, that is plastic from the outside. Until now, I haven't found a hard-shell boot for my wide feet, so I am riding with the Daytona Travel Star GTX (Leather-Boot) and have my trousers over the boots. I have just bought the CRF 300 L a few weeks ago and don't have much km on it, so I can't complain about any paint comming off yet, but after your video I am a little concerned.
