There are many videos with CRF 250L brake padas change, but I have not seen yet a video in the CRF 300L. It would be very helpful. I love your maintenance videos on the CRF 300L. I learn a lot with you!
@@RoiaMoto It would be interesting. I dont know if I have to drain some oil from the reservoir or just push the piston to get space for the new pads. Also is possible to do it without removing the wheel, just pushing the calipper with your hand to push the piston. I will be waiting for that video!
Hi Roia, another excellent informative video which should be the go-to video for anyone considering changing the handlebars on their CRF300L! Well Done! I purchased the Renthal 971 RC (Ricky Carmichael) bars which for comparison purposes have the following dimensions: Width (A) = 802 Height (B) = 97 Rise (C) = 62 Clamp Area (D) = 135 Sweep (E) = 53 Weight = 900 Internal Dia = 14 Control Area = 201 Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Adrian! Thanks for sharing the dimensions for your handlebar! Maybe I’ll add a table to the website with measurements from other handlebars. It Would be nice to have a good resource for all 300L riders. Cheers
Great video! I had the same effective result w/ the CR High. Much better bar and fit, but was surprised I didn't lose any weight on the swap considering I had to add bar end anchors for my hand guards.... Whereas, on the stock bars, I used the stock threaded vibration weights to secure my handguards. Also, the CR High improved the standing reach without installing bar risers (which often have a negative effect on rocky offroad riding).
Great stuff, I've been pondering this very issue and your video has given me excellent information to consider. Thank you for the time and energy you have put into this.
I got the renthal 839-01 and ngl I like it a lot. Never got to compare it to the CR high but I think I made the right choice also got risers adapters to 1 1/8th cuz fat bars are better 😂
Thanks so very much Roia, all your hard work on these videos are so very appreciated and helpful, you’ve helped me out immensely. Good luck to you always.
Hi Michael! Thanks a lot for the supportive comment! A lot of effort put into these videos and I’m stoked to hear they’ve been useful to you!! Ride safe
Hi mate, it's a generic motorcycle scissor jack with wheels. I bought it online but don't remember where. It should cost you about 30-40 U$D. I don't have a specific brand to recommend. It's a quite simple tool. Cheers
Thanks, Wilson! Protaper CR high SE(7/8) or Renthal 693 enduro. In about 2-3 weeks I’m going to install the Renthal for a friend of mine that has the rally. Ill share a video about it here in the channel.
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts now that you've had some experience riding with the new handlebars. How do you find them? Would you say the ProTaper handlebars have improved your riding position and quality, both while sitting and standing, or do you feel the improvements were minimal? Cheers!
Hi mate, When sitting down the improvement is minimal. I would say that it would be better if it was a bit lower like the original. However when standing up the improvement is substantial. With the original handlebar I felt that I was too far forward on the bike. Felt out of balance. So the fact that the handlebar stands higher and a bit forward has helped a lot. Overall it's a noticeable improvement when standing and is not an expensive mod. The handlebar itself is cheap if you can install it by youself.
Good video, could you tell me what your height is? I'm 1.80 tall and I'm not at all comfortable standing with the original handlebars. I'm in doubt if this protaper would work for my height. Thank you.
Hi Josep, Thanks for the comment! Sure, I’m 1,75m. Standing up for me with the stock handlebar wasn’t comfortable at all. I felt like going over the bars.
Hi mate, No room for adjustment at all the way I have mounted. As the area for the controls is reduced with the ProTaper and I have opted for handgrips that are also longer, I have no adjustment left.
Hi mate! How are you? Yes, I have drill 1 hole in each side. I know some people file down the little “tab” on each control but I don’t think that a good idea. There is a video coming up next week about the installationz
This is how I carry my tools: www.roiamoto.com/toolroll
Thanks for checking it out! Would love to hear your feedback!
The best information video about crf 300 handlebars!
Thanks a lot, mate!! Glad to hear the video was helpful!

Adding a table with other popular handlebar dimensions would be very useful 👍

I’m about to put 20 mm risers on, makes me wonder... What kind of negative effect are we talking about ?
Thanks for the comment and sharing your experience, Steph!
Amazed at the length of detail you go to give a technical and informed decision when purchasing a handlebar.
Thanks much.
Thanks, man!! Appreciate the comment glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the video!
Super erklärt, gilt auch für die anderen Videos. Top!!!!
Danke, Dirk!
Great video! And lots of explaining. Sticking out your elbows helps riding considerably. Thanks, Günter/Nürnberg

Thank you for this very informative video. I'd like to ask what the name of that lift stand at 5:14 in the video is called? Cheers

Excellent tutorials, specially about the HondaCRF300. I guess this is why we subscribed to your channel.👍
What bars would you suggest for the Rally?✌
Thanks, Wilson!
Protaper CR high SE(7/8) or Renthal 693 enduro.
In about 2-3 weeks I’m going to install the Renthal for a friend of mine that has the rally. Ill share a video about it here in the channel.
Perfect explain, many thanks.
Great video! Please can you tell me the length of the crossbar on the stock handlebar? Thanks
HI Chantelle,
sadly I no longer have the original handlebar around to take the measurement for you 🥲
Very good explanation. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for the info!...really helpful!...renthal fatbar 603 and i am loving it, Costa Rica, Pura Vida!
Nice!
Gracias por el comentario! Un buen weekend para ti!
I have t-rex arms. So I think these would be a boon for my riding. Thanks for the info!
T-Rex arms 😂😂. Glad to hear the video was helpful!
Another excellent well thought out video!
Thanks as always, Russell!
Merci pour ces explications ! Salutations de Belgique 😉👍.
My pleasure!! Thanks for the support!

Is the CRF300L also available in Chile?

How did the controls fit is there some room for adjusting

Greatvideo! What hand guards are you using? Thanks, Charlie.
Thanks!! I'm using Barkbusters
Hi - hope you are well. One question: Did you drill holes in the new handlebar? Thanks Klaus
Hi mate! How are you?
Yes, I have drill 1 hole in each side.
I know some people file down the little “tab” on each control but I don’t think that a good idea.
There is a video coming up next week about the installationz
Thanks thanks and thanks for the content!!
My pleasure, Tony!! Glad you’ve enjoyed it!
Nice weekend to you!
