It's amazing that you have such a lovely item from your grandmother! I have a story about my great-grandmother's expensive china plates from England: They were passed down carefully through my family, and they were gorgeous with gold trim. When I was in my 50s, I was reading about lead poisoning in plates and cups ... yup, I tested her plates and cups with a lead-check pen, and they were all CONTAMINATED with lead. I threw them all away, thinking about how my grandmother had lost her memory at the end of her life, and how my mother was diagnosed with dementia...until I took her back home, away from all the things in the kitchen (not deliberately), and she recovered!
So you are lucky to have received such a healthy item!

Joy, I love to see you and everything you represent the purest and most beautiful things about being African. Thank you for your contribution to my life as a black American I watch your videos and I image how much life would have been so different had it not been for colonization. You are truly a sweet and beautiful spirit and I imagine that my ancestors were from beautiful people like yourself. Please keep doing what you’re doing.

I love jackfruit ❤! In the Philippines, we call them langka. I’ve tried cutting one open by myself once and I had a really hard time cleaning the knife afterwards 😂. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful culture and traditions. It’s really beautiful to see you talk about your culture. ❤❤

Very interesting to learn about sugar cane. The stalks remind me of corn (also a grass). I really appreciated seeing the English translation of the song you sang while demonstrating the mortar and pestle. The song--the words and music--is beautiful in the native language but I appreciate knowing what the song is about. Great video. You are teaching thousands of people about your traditional culture.

Jack fruit looks good, but also huge! Do you only eat it when you have guests or can it be stored in the fridge for a while?

If you have gum diseases and weak teeth it's good to chew on sugarcane because it really helps strengthen your teeth and sort out gum diseases.

Everyone asks about your skincare and perfect teeth, but we can see that it is due to the food you eat and this beautiful environment in which you immerse yourself. A good detox from NYC!
You could always setup a medical spa for foreigners to try to regain their lost health. Those spas are so expensive in Europe, but the European natural environment has been really destroyed, so the food isn't the same as yours.

Thank you for teaching this to me, and your audience ❤. I tried it once as a child from my best friend from Africa. I miss her a lot. IT was so delicious and fun to eat! Your skin is beautiful. I may be white, but I don't even think the "African Americans" in the United States know or admire you as much as I appreciate you. A natural beauty. 5 inch talons, weaves and eyelashes don't represent the "people" that they are so enslaved to...You represent the real beauty. I'm serious.
