If you’re diggin your new exposure to The Bee Gees stream the movie Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band which feature the bee gees along with Peter Frampton. It’s kind of hilariously silly but I love listening to it in the background. Aerosmith and Earth Wind and Fire also make an appearance.

Hello … Saturday Night Fever!
No one sings better harmony than siblings. What an amazing range Barry had. Also, that high stuff as you probably know is falsetto.
Another legendary artists from Manchester UK so many from Manchester alone
This wasn’t a boy band, it was a MAN band 😊 AND they wrote their music!!!!
D*** strait, sweetie! LOL That chest hair! Woooo!
Exactly a MAN band NOT boy band!!! I lovveee them❤
Nearly fell off my chair when he called them a ‘boy band’. 😮
They were a boy band when they started! They formed a band and were singing before they were teenagers! I think Robin and Maurice were about 8 years old.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👊
The Bee Gees deserve their own separate book when the history of rock & roll is written. 🔥
They’re not Rock n Roll though…
Yeah they do.
No no no not a one hit wonder!!! The BeeGees had a God given talent that has stood the test of time. They were ahead of their time
Yes! The Bee Gees were All Hit wonders
Or behind, compare to the old time ; Bach, Purcell, Beethoven, Vivaldi.
They weren’t a boy band, they were men, real men and brothers too. That’s why their voices blend so beautifully. I wore out all their albums. Yes, albums, real records that wore out. Barry the on with all the hair is the only one still alive. I had such a crush on him. Remember making videos were a new thing back then. They did what they could!
R.I.P. Andy,, Maurice & Robin🙏 ❤️
So heartbreaking ❤❤😢😢
Andy Gibb was not part of The Bee Gees, he was the younger brother and a solo artist. (Sir) Barry Gibb is the lead singer of The Bee Gees, with Maurice and Robin, and is still very much alive.
@egrosenesq Firstly,, I am very well aware of Andy & never said he was,, I was just paying my respects to the brothers who have passed,, Andy,, Maurice & Robin,, Who are all very much NOT alive.
@@egrosenesqhe did do a couple of songs with them, and there was talk of bringing him in permanently just before he died
Don't forget Andy!! RIP brothers!!
In my opinion, the Bee Gees are the best band in history. Their writing, the vocal ranges, their harmonies....... the hair! They had it all. And the way they came up with ideas for their songs was so inspire: Jive Talking came about becuase they were passing over a road with ridges on it and the sound the tyres made gave them the intro for the song. It takes a certain talent to hear a song in such everyday things. They're musical geniuses.
Back in high school 78' the Bee Gees were all we heard on the way to school. Great memories. Mom loved them. Brings tears now 😢 R.I.P Mom ...❤
So sad for Barry…the eldest, tallest, handsomest, most talented and the only one of the four Gibb brothers still with us…😢
I didn't know that! How sad 😢
It’s a sacrilege to call these talented brothers a “boy band”. That’s a term for these new age choreography boys who feel the need to dance to their music. The Bee Gees could stand in front of a mic and magic would happen. Just pure talent. Not manufactured like today.
They started as children and became a worldwide phenomenon creating hit songs NO AUTOTUNE from the 60s through the 1980s.
Through 2003 when Maurice died.
Bee Gees only have masterpieces. With a catalogue of 1000+ songs written for themselves and other top artists there’s a lot to choose from. You won’t be able to find anyone else who can harmonize like The Bee Gees. That was a great reaction, thank you. ❤❤❤❤
No one sings better harmonies than brothers.
Im so glad I grew up in the 70s and 80s when there were real voices and amazing music!!
@Rayray 100%!!!!
Same!!!
Oh me too!
Amen!
DITTO DUDE😊
This sounds like the sort of song you expect to hear when you ascend towards heaven and through the holy gates.
The Beegees had something that can never be matched because it is all 100% REAL voice, no auto tune, no manipulation like everything now is packed with. Your authentic reaction was a great compliment to the song
The Bee Gees' voices are like angels. Love them. ❤
One of the all time greatest groups in the world. There will never be another like them ❤
If the phrase 'one hit wonder' even THINKS of crossing your mind, you've GOT TO check out their back catalogue!
No they definitely are NOT a one hit wonder! Their career spans 62 years!! 1958-2021! Plus they have written/sang/produced of 1000+ songs not only for themselves but other artists.
They also have a younger brother who had his own solo career that they helped with. His name is Andy Gibb. What would’ve been his 65th birthday is coming up on Sunday March 5. He passed away 5 days after he turned 30. Please check out his song Shadow Dancing!
You may not think that I care for you when you know deep inside that I really do….
Le sigh
I had a big crush on Andy Gib back in the day. So sad he didn't make it out of the 80s...
@@TheCinder24 Gosh, I was so in love with Andy! Maurice and Robin may have been twins, but Andy was the spitting image of Barry. My 10yr old heart still throbs.
it ended in 2012, when Robin died, its just Barry now.
@@peteseaton1547 yes but Barry released an album of Bee Gees songs covered by country singers called Greenfields in 2021. So therefore 1958-2021
No boy band. Over 5 decades of great music. Wrote their own songs. Musical geniuses.
If you dont love the Bee Gees you are dead inside
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG EVER! And the No. 2: TOO MUCH HEAVEN.
The Bee Gees were HUGE.
I am 70 and we had the best music, most uplifting, and this band was the best.....their Too much Heaven was my all time favorite, REAL music!!! But this a very close second!
Listen to Alone. It will bring you to tears since Barry really is alone now. 😭😭
...YES...we did...I am 75, went through school with these songs, along with all the rest....how blessed we were to live in that generation....
One hit wonder?
Everything they did, was a hit.
Words, on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Every young man tried to dress and grew their hair out to try to look like Barry, disco was the bomb late 70’s and The Bee Gees ruled the air waves.
💯
"Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack is still in the top 10 selling albums in history. And yet remarkably, that album and the songs on it do not even define the Bee Gees. It is not possible to measure their talent as their body of work spans 50 years +
Barry Gibb is one of the more talented and prolific songwriters, he wrote songs for other artists as well...
It's not cheesy! It's romantic. We just forgot how to be. Love it and your comments anyway!
Oh you sweet boy. Bee Gees rocked my world in the 70's. I still have their album. Yes, floating on the notes. Still in love with Barry Gibbs hair. ❤❤❤ They didn't have to try to be all that, they were.
Barry Gibbs does have great hair. When I was younger, I brushed my hair like him.
A great post! I 100% agree! Thanks for making me smile along with you today! ❤
The Bee Gees were brothers from England. Sang together their whole life
They were Australian not English
@@AmyStayman born in England. Move to Australia in the 50s
FOUR BROTHERS, BUT ONLY THE OLDEST, BARRY, IS STILL WITH US🙏🙏🙏❤
Nothing like going to the roller rink and slow skating to this under the disco ball ❤ those were the days ...b-gees still a fav when I'm down
What's really sad is everyone seems to have forgotten younger brother Andy Gibb. He was a solo artist who had several number one hits. Unfortunately he died very young.
Hits for 5 decades. No. Not a one hit wonder. 100 top 10 hits through the years. 6 consecutive number ones. Great reaction. Love anything from these guys. Close to a billion views on YT, just on one song, and just in the past 12 years. Not bad for a group with their first hits in the 60s
And that doesn't even count all the songs they wrote for other people...
@@inacornerHe was making that comment because he had just reacted to Too Much Heaven that he heard for the first time, and had never heard of the group. It was just a positive observation comment.
This is for the,Bee Gee's reaction. They were brothers, Barry, Maurice,Robin. Parenteral twins. Sang their tail off. If you enjoy music how do you not know them?
The Bee Gees produced some of the finest pop music ever created.
This song always brings a warm glow to my heart
If you weren't fortunate enough to be a teen age boy with a teen age girl in a candlelit basement swaying to this song on the radio the first time around, you might have had a great life, but you didn't have the greatest life.
Bee Gees are outrageously great. All their songs are worth taking time to listen to.
Suggestion: Sam Cooke...CHANGE IS GONNA COME!
OMG Sam Cooke! The best!
At the time this was recorded, hair like this was everywhere
All this reminiscing is making me cry! Didn’t know we had it so good back in the 70s.Thanks, Polo.
The Bee Gees are so underrated it's ridiculous people look at the Saturday night fever era but they were SO much more than that
Amen❣️❣️❣️
That's what real talent looks like.
THE SOUNDTRACK OF "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" SOLD MILLIONS!!! THE MOVIE MADE HUGE PROFITS🤑🤑🤑🤑 MADE JOHN TRAVOLT A STAR👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤❤❤❤❤
They are a 1,000 hit wonder...over 100 in the top 10, and wrote songs for many of the top voices of 3 decades.
Here here 🥂
They're brothers. The shorter ones are twins and the one with the high picth voice is the oldest, he's also the only one still alive and producing music for other artists.
Polo, keep digging into The Bee Gees. According to Billboard, they are 3rd among groups for the most number one hits.
70's hair, Baby!!
I've listened to this song regularly since my beloved husband passed... and I'll never stop.
🥰
Polo, I love your content! If you want to hear the Bee Gees do something funky, do their live version of “You Should Be Dancing “, which adds one more younger brother to the group. Their younger brother, Andy, joins in on the live version. It is fire! I was finishing my senior year of high school when this song came out and everyone was playing the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. You’re right about all your grandmas… Us grandmas we’re pretty hot back in the day when this music was going on! 😅 the lead singer, Barry, is the only surviving member now. Everyone was jealous of his hair… Even the girls!
Best love song writers ever! Brothers Gibb R.I.P Maurice R.I.P Robin R.I.P Andy 🕯🕯🕯
THEIR VOICES HARMONIZE SO WELL TOGETHER BECAUSE THEY ARE BROTHERS!!!! THEY HAD SO MANY MANY HITS, SOME ARE: STAYIN' ALIVE, YOU SHOULD BE DANCIN', MORE THAN A WOMAN, RUN TO ME, JIVE TALKIN', TO LOVE SOMEBODY, AND SO MANY MANY MORE...ENJOY THIS RIDE!!!!!!
Why you yelling ? Lol😂😂
@@meme-ls7ft NOT TRYING TO YELL, I HAVE AN EYE PROBLEM...
They wrote music for “ Staying Alive” with John Travolta ,yes Disco. They were in Yellow Submarine by The Beatles. And they had a younger brother Andy Gibb .
@@meme-ls7ft WA WA..CALL A WAMBULANCE!! GET OVER IT, SNOWFLAKE!
@@777wakeupcall7 trust me...I am just the opposite of a snowflake if that comment was for me. 🥂😁
Andy Gibb the last of the Bee Gees and brother of the Gibb Brothers. Heaven just got another Angel.
Barry is still with us.
The three brothers with beautiful voices. This is memories. ❤
And a fourth brother with a voice just as beautiful!
A true band of brothers, British brothers - The Brothers Gibb. They were there at the dawn and the demise of disco and a bit beyond. They are true life-savers. When people do CPR and think Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah STAYIN' ALIVE, STAYIN ALIVE that's the Bee Gees baby!
I grew up with this band and No the bands today are Nothing like the BeeGees. Their harmony. The lyrics they write no comparison. Love the BeeGees. Three brothers who started singing together when they were 8 and 9.
World treasure..... Galaxy treasure...... Forever
I'm a Metalhead born in 1970, but I know all the words to this song and MANY more!
🌟🌟🌟 Yes, Three Of The Brothers Are Still Walking Up In Heaven
😇😇😇
Andy Gibb Was The Youngest Brother Who Sang Solo....Barry Gibb Is The Only Living Brother.
I Miss Them So Much! ❣️
May They Continue To Sleep In Peace And Forever Live In Heavenly Paradise. ❤❤❤ 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You haven't heard this yet? lol. Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is on constant rotation in my head since the 70s.
What a put down to call them a boy band. They deserve much more respect. Love you Barry.❤
They're called THE BEE GEES, They're real Last name is GIBB... THEY WERE THE GIBB BROTHERS...
Siblings Harmonizing sound so good because their voices are similar in intonation pitch, teeth placement etc.
The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988.
The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born.
Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced).
From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ruclips.net/video/7niXSh7vWRI/видео.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: ruclips.net/video/WH_j90fCIk4/видео.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out ruclips.net/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/видео.html. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: ruclips.net/video/MT9vRHSWNbk/видео.html. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you ruclips.net/video/CA4CInDnTk8/видео.html. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: ruclips.net/video/162GlAEpfrY/видео.html.
I was fortunate to see him live on his first tour of the states. One of the greatest. 😊
Superb performers but also stupendous songwriters and producers. They were/are the best
No other brothers harmonized like that except Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, The Beach Boys.
Definitely NOT a boy band, one of the greatest vocal groups of all time who produced and wrote a lot of their own material
Yeah, I never heard the term "boy band" until the 80s with New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, Menudo and 'N Sync. It was reserved for "manufactured" groups that were assembled with singers that would appeal to teenage girls and didn't write any of their own music. In the 60s and 70s there were bands with young males but they were generally family groups like The Bee Gees and The Jackson 5 that lasted into their adulthood and had artistry that developed over the decades.
@@Scary__fun heard them describe themselves as a tongue-in-cheek boy band, then corrected that to man band 🤣😂🤣
They wrote hundreds of songs for others as well
you say that they wrote "a lot of their own material"?...............emmm ... very amusing. The actual facts are... They wrote 1,000's of songs and wrote ALL of their own hits and tracks. lol
@@Scary__fun the Bee Gees and the Osmonds were the best!
And they were both the original boy bands!
Can't believe this person has never watched a movie with the bee gees music. They were a boy band when they were boys. Respect the talent they like Elvis and Micheal jacksonceas one of a kind.
Their Mother said that she didn't even know that they could sing. She said that one day she thought they had the radio playing loud and went to see what was going on and it was them singing.
Angels in harmony! 🤗❤️🤗
I love that story! Very cool😎
The best singers who EVER lived....❤
Quincy Jones has stated that 'Fannie, Be Tender With My Love', could very well be
the greatest R & B song he ever heard, and that's saying a lot from a master in music.
The Bee Gees have many great songs like this, but 'Fannie' just takes their singing to
a different level with all three of them intricately involved vocally.
I adored the Bee Gees....
Talk about Harmonization....
They were Amazing...
Not only did they write for themselves they wrote for other's as well.
They Started in the 60's....
They were Huge in the 70's due to the Disco era....
Barry, Maurice and Robin
and there younger brother Andy was part of the anatomy
of the Brother's Gibb...
They have a true Legacy of Music and Talent ❤❤❤❤❤
This boy band wrote their own material and played instruments!
You might have to react to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack- filled with their and others’ monster hits- like Disco Inferno by The Tramps!
The You Should Be Dancing vid features scenes from the film- including John Travolta’s famous solo dance at the disco.
Yes they had hits forever!!!!
I love their earlier songs also. Massachusetts, Words, Gotta Get A Message To You. Legends!! Great reaction
How do you mend a broken heart… ahhhhh. Pure heaven. ❤❤❤
The music of The Bee Gees will be timeless forever as will the film Saturday Night Fever shame 2 of them died so young and they wrote their songs they are like a beautiful orchestra
When my daughter was around 3 years old, she would point to Barry and say “Jesus”. I guess I can see what she was talking about. I would respond “ no honey, but he does sing like an angel!” You should react to “ Fanny Be Tender”. It’s an earlier song done by them.
😆 That's so cute!
I keep suggesting Fanny Be Tender on reaction channels but few get to it. I read that it was so complicated to perform, they rarely performed it live. It’s definitely on my playlist! ❤
Fanny Be Tender is my favorite
A gift to humanity, like many beautiful sounds and sentiments...
‘Word has it; they’re still walking today’ 😂
Now you gotta do ‘More Than a Woman’
Unfortunately, only one is "still walking". 😞
AMAZING SINGERS
Their music goes back to the '60s. We may never experience 3 part harmonies like this, again. An unbelievably vast library of hits, covering multiple genres.
They make me smile every single time.
They wrote so many great songs for themselves and others, produced too. ❤️
I agree with you. They can sing!!!
Grew up with them.. it’s a deep deep rabbit hole.. but a very good one!! Brothers Gibb (Bee Gees) have written some of the biggest hits of the 60s, 70s, and 80s (think disco)! They recorded many of their own hits, but others also recorded their songs too. I’m an oldie.. enjoy watching youngsters discovering ‘our’ music… and enjoying it! Nice reaction, thanks.
Beautiful tribute to Andy after he’s gone you can really feel the pain and sadness…their love was so strong
You haven’t even heard harmonies till you listen to @ love so right, Fannie be tender, alone@ by them. Oh yeah and 59 other tunes. They’re the greatest harmony band in history!
The Bee Gees are pure legends. They have so many huge hits that will always stand the test of time. Three of the greatest voices to ever live. Have you checked out "Stayin' Alive" yet. I'd say you will recognize it pretty quick.
These guys had more top ten hits than anyone on the planet.
Their voices in the intro essentially mimic strings. It's a vocal-orchestral cloud which simply floats you away...
These men's voices made Michael Jackson cry.
The bee gee’s were amazing. I absolutely love this song, my husband and I walked into our wedding reception to this song almost twenty years ago. ❤❤❤❤
Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees. 🕺🥰👍
The joy on your face while you listen makes me smile. Thank you for sharing.
